We’ll do what it takes to keep your SureFire gear running smoothly.
SureFire warrants that if you—our customer—purchase one of our products, and we determine that it is
defective in material and/or workmanship during your lifetime, we will repair or replace it for free or refund
your money—no hassle! There are just a few exceptions noted below. Electronics, rechargeable batteries,
and chargers are warranted for two years from the date of purchase. SureFire Hearing Protection prod-
ucts are warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase. Our warranty does not cover consumables or
normal wear-and-tear, or damage resulting from abuse, alterations, unauthorized repairs, or use contrary
to SureFire’s user manuals. To help protect your investment SureFire offers reasonable rates to repair
damage to our products not covered by our warranty, such as a core rebuild for a suppressor damaged by
improper use. You will be provided with a quote for approval before work begins.

CHANGE LENS:
1. Unscrew current colored lens counter clockwise. If tight, use straight ruler or back side of a knife
across top front of filter and twist (Fig. 1).
2. Slide rubber o-ring onto back of new color lens.
3. Screw in new colored filter.

INTRODUCTION
Filters convert white light to colored light, which helps preserve night-adapted vision, improves visibility
under certain circumstances, and reduces a light’s signature, helping conceal a user’s location. A filter
also provides secondary protection against impact to the flashlight’s window. The FM70 comes with
various colored filters that can be installed onto the filter body. The FM70 filter fits various Surefire
1.0 inch and 1.125 inch handheld lights and weaponlights. This includes a majority of legacy and new
handheld or weaponlights, this filter can be used with 1.0 inch lights as well, simply push out 1.125
rubber sleeve from filter body. Push in 1.0 inch, thicker rubber sleeve into filter body.

INSTALLATION:
1. Open the filter.
2. Expand the filter’s body gap by turning the hex screw counterclockwise two complete rotations
with the provided hex wrench.
3. Slide the filter body all the way on to the light’s bezel until it fits snugly on the bezel.
4. Tighten the hex screw to attach the filter securely to the bezel.
Note: Do not over-tighten the screw, to avoid stripping it.
OPERATION:
1. To open the filter, undo its latch and lift the filter lid.
2. Fold the filter lid back and secure its latch lock.
3. To engage the filter, undo the latch lock, fold the filter down in front
of the light’s window, and secure with the latch.
