Warranty Terms
1. SVAT products are guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of
purchase against defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty
is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price at
SVAT’s option.
2. This warranty becomes void if the product shows evidence of having
been misused, mishandled or tampered with contrary to the applicable
instruction manual.
3. Routine cleaning, normal cosmetic and mechanical wear and tear are
not covered under the terms of this warranty.
4. The warranty expressly provided for herein is the sole warranty
provided in connection with the product itself and no other warranty,
expressed or implied is provided. SVAT assumes no responsibilities for
any other claims not specically mentioned in this warranty.
5. This warranty does not cover shipping costs, insurance, or any other
incidental charges.
6. You MUST call SVAT before sending any product back for repair. You will
be sent a Return Authorization number with return instructions. When
returning the product for warranty service, please pack it carefully in
the original box with all supplied accessories, and enclose your original
receipt or copy, and a brief explanation of the problem (include RA #).
7. This warranty is valid only in Canada and the continental U.S.
8. This warranty cannot be re-issued.

OPERATION
Switch from Photo to Video Mode
Use the small switch located next to the USB to switch the pen mode.
1. Move the switch to the left to change to video mode.
2. Move the switch to the right to change to photo mode.
Powering On the Pen DVR
Press and hold the power button on the top of the pen for three seconds.
Photo Mode The yellow indicator light will blink, the pen is in photo
standby mode.
Video Mode The yellow indicator light will stay on, the pen is in video
standby mode.
Taking Pictures/Shooting Video
Press the power button on the top of the pen once.
Photo Mode The indicator light will turn blue for several seconds while
the photo saves, do not attempt to take another picture
until the light turns yellow again.
Video Mode The indicator light will turn blue, the system will
automatically save the le every 30 minutes and then
continue recording
Stopping Video
Press the power button on the top of the pen once to stop shooting video,
the indicator light will turn yellow while the video is being saved.

Turning the Pen O
Press and hold the power button for ve seconds in standby mode, the
indicator light will turn o when the pen has powered o.
Connecting to a PC Computer
In standby or OFF mode you can connect the device to a computer.
1. Plug the USB connector directly into the USB jack on your computer.
2. The computer will automatically recognize the device, and a
"removable hardware" pop-up window will appear.
3. The device will appear in the "My Computer" folder on your computer
under X:\VIDEO, (X represents the storage drive name your computer
assigns automatically) from here you can access the photos and
videos.
4. To remove the device safely, right click on the "Safely Remove
Hardware" icon on the bottom of the computer screen, click to stop the
"USB mass storage device" and unplug the USB. Or you can also right
click on the drive name and select the "Eject" option.

OPERATION
Connecting to a MAC Computer
In standby or OFF mode you can connect the device to a computer.
1. Plug the USB connector directly into the USB jack on your computer.
2. The computer will automatically recognize the device, and a folder
will appear on your desktop called "No Name".
3. Click on the "No Name" drive icon, from here you can access the
photos and videos.
Note: According to the computer system conguration, there will be a slight
dierence in wait times of the computer recognizing the Pen DVR, please
be patient and do not press buttons on the pen DVR while the computer
is working. If the computer does not recognize the pen DVR after several
minutes, remove the device, and reconnect. If the computer still does not
recognize the device, restart the computer and check that your system falls
under the CPU requirements for the pen DVR in the specications.

OPERATION
Charging the Pen
Plug the USB connection of the pen into a USB jack on any computer, the
pen’s indicator light will ash yellow while it is charging, the light will
remain ON when the battery is fully charged.
Note: You can charge the battery at any time and any battery level. For
the initial ve charges let the battery drain fully, and then charge
fully before being used again. This is to ensure the maximum
eciency of the battery is achieved for its lifetime.
Reset
If the Pen DVR stops responding, or is acting in a dierent manner then
the manual suggests, please use a non-metallic tool to press the hidden
internal reset button on the side of the Pen DVR.
Writing with the Pen
Twist the top of the pen to reveal the ball point tip and write, twist in the
opposite direction to hide the ball point tip.

Notes:
1. The pen will turn o automatically after 5 minutes to save power, if not
in use.
2. Before the battery runs out, the pen will automatically save the current
le and then turn o.
3. The system will create a new le every time video is stopped and
started again.
4. It takes a few seconds to save a new le; please do not attempt to
operate the pen while the device is saving a le. Pressing buttons
during saving can corrupt a le.
5. Make sure there is adequate light and the camera is not blocked by
other items. Keep the camera upright and stable for good picture
quality. Objects being recorded should be more than 20 inches from
the camera in order to ensure good focus and picture.

• File security: This product is not a professional storage device. It does
not guarantee the integrity and security of saved les. Please back up
your important les on the computer or other storage device
• Video quality: This product is not a professional video device. It does not
guarantee the video quality can meet your expectations
• Operating humidity: 20% - 80%. This product is not waterproof. It may
not work under very humid conditions
• Shooting brightness: Do not expose the camera directly to strong light,
such as the sun, to avoid damage to optical devices
• Cleaning: Do not use in an environment with high dust density to avoid
the contamination of camera lens or other components. It may aect
the operation of the camera. The camera lens can be cleaned gently by
a soft cloth
• This is a sophisticated electronic product which can be damaged by
strong impact or vibration. Please not use it near strong magnetic or
electric elds
• Please keep out of reach of children
• Do not attempt to operate the Pen DVR if it is damaged, wet or in
otherwise bad repair

Notes:
1. Le stylo s’éteint automatiquement après 5 minutes pour économiser de
l’énergie, s’il n’est pas en cours d’utilisation.
2. Avant que la pile s’épuise, le stylo enregistre automatiquement le chier en
cours, ensuite s’éteint.
3. Le système créera un nouveau chier à chaque fois que la vidéo est arrêtée et
recommencée.
4. Il faut quelques secondes pour enregistrer un nouveau chier, s’il vous plaît ne
tentez pas d’utiliser le stylo lorsque le dispositif est en cours d’enregistrement
d’un chier. Appuyer sur les touches pendant la sauvegarde peut corrompre un
chier.
5. Assurez-vous qu’il y a susamment de lumière et que la caméra n’est pas
bloquée par d’autres éléments. Gardez la caméra droite et stable pour une
bonne qualité d’image. Les objets en cours d’enregistrement doivent être à
être plus de 20 pouces de l’appareil pour assurer une bonne mise au point et la
clarté d’image.

OPÉRATION
Charger le stylo
Branchez la connexion USB du stylo dans une prise USB sur n’importe
quel ordinateur, le voyant du stylo est jaune et clignote pendant qu’il
se recharge, la lumière reste allumée lorsque la pile est complètement
chargée.
Note: Vous pouvez charger la pile à tout moment et à n’importe quel
niveau de la pile. Mais pour les cinq premières charges, laissez
écouler la pile complètement, ensuite la recharger complètement
avant d’être réutilisée. Ceci assure que l’ecacité maximale de la
pile est atteinte pour la durée de vie.
Réinitialisation
Si le Stylo DVR cesse de réagir, ou agit d’une façon diérente que le manuel
propose, s’il vous plaît utiliser un outil non-métallique pour appuyer le
bouton de réinitialisation interne caché sur le côté du Stylo DVR.
Écrire avec le stylo
Tournez le haut du stylo pour révéler la pointe à bille et pour écrire. Tournez
dans le sens inverse pour cacher la pointe à bille.

OPÉRATION
Connexion à un ordinateur MAC
En mode de veille ou lorsqu’il est éteint, vous pouvez connecter l’appareil
à un ordinateur.
1. Branchez le connecteur USB directement à la prise USB sur
votre ordinateur.
2. L’ordinateur reconnaît automatiquement le périphérique, et un dossier
apparaîtra sur votre écran appelé “Nouveau périphérique”.
3. Cliquez sur l’icône du lecteur “ Nouveau périphérique “, à partir d’ici,
vous pouvez accéder aux photos et vidéos.
Note: Selon la conguration du système informatique, il y aura une petite diérence
dans les temps d’attente de l’ordinateur en reconnaissant le stylo DVR, s’il
vous plaît soyez patient et n’appuyez pas sur les touches du stylo DVR alors
que l’ordinateur fonctionne. Si l’ordinateur ne reconnaît pas le stylo DVR après
quelques minutes, retirez le dispositif, et rebranchez-le. Si l’ordinateur ne
reconnaît toujours pas le périphérique, redémarrez l’ordinateur et vériez que
votre système répond aux exigences du CPU pour le stylo DVR dans la liste des
spécications.

OPÉRATION
Éteindre le stylo
Appuyez sur la touche d’alimentation pendant cinq secondes en mode de
veille, le voyant s’éteindra lorsque le stylo est éteint.
Connexion à un ordinateur PC
En mode de veille ou lorsqu’il est éteint, vous pouvez connecter l’appareil
à un ordinateur.
1. Branchez le connecteur USB
directement à la prise USB de votre
ordinateur.
2. L’ordinateur reconnaîtra
automatiquement l’appareil, et
une fenêtre contextuelle apparaîtra
indiquant “Matériel amovible” .
3. L’appareil apparaîtra dans le dossier “Poste de travail” sur votre
ordinateur sous X: \ VIDEO, (X représente le nom du lecteur de stockage
que votre ordinateur attribue automatiquement) à partir d’ici, vous
pouvez accéder aux photos et vidéos.
4. Pour déconnecter le périphérique en toute sécurité, faites un clic droit
sur l’icône “Retirer le périphérique en toute sécurité” située à droite de la
barre des tâches, cliquez sur l’icône, la liste des périphériques s’ache.
Cliquez sur le périphérique que vous souhaitez retirer. Windows ache
un message indiquant que vous pouvez retirer le périphérique en
toute sécurité. Vous pouvez également déconnecter les périphériques
en toute sécurité depuis le dossier Ordinateur. Cliquez sur le bouton
Démarrer, puis sur Ordinateur, cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris
sur le périphérique à débrancher, puis choisissez Éjecter.
