Use of the Genius ventilation unit

The ventilation unit operates automatically. The user selects the ven-
tilation mode or allows the automation to control the ventilation. The
mode can be changed from the control panel or the mobile application
by pressing the ventilation mode symbol.
Select the appropriate ventilation mode:
The ventilation unit is equipped with sensors that measure the indoor air and
the ventilation is adjusted automatically based on the results.The A symbol
and green bar on the gauges indicates that ventilation is being boosted.
The desired functions can be added to the main view of the control
panel or the App by pressing the -button.
To maintain the eciency of the ventilation unit, the
lters should be replaced at least twice a year. Filters
need to be replaced more oen if there is a lot of dust
in the room air or a lot of impurities in the outside air.

HOME
Normal air ow. Used when there are people in the home.
AWAY
Low air ow. Used when no one is present in the home.
BOOST
High air ow. Used if the ventilation requirement increases, for
example, when cooking, taking a bath or drying laundry or if an
unusually large number of people are in the home. The time is set
to 60 minutes, aer that period the speed returns to Home mode.
WEEKLY PROGRAMS
The ventilation mode changes automatically according to the week-
ly programs. You can use the Away program to save energy, when
your home is regularly empty, for example during working days.

FIREPLACE FUNCTION
Use the replace function when lighting a replace.
SILENT MODE
This feature disables automatic ventilation boosts.
SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
Change the settings only if the supply air feels too cold. The unit
can’t produce cooler air than the outside air without accessories.
SUMMER MODE BOOST
The automatic boost function aims to make the most of the cool
night air during the summer.
With the mobile application, it is possible to track measurement
results over a longer period.

Selecting ventilation mode

Light Maintenance
The hood can be used to control the ventilation of the apartment.
The ventilation unit operates automatically. The user selects the
ventilation mode or allows the automation to control the ventila-
tion. The mode can be changed with the touch button. The indica-
tor lights dim automatically when the hood is not used.
Select the appropriate ventilation mode:
Switch on the lighting by pressing the button.
The lighting output can be regulated with a long press on the
button, the brightness then changes. Pressing the button again
changes the brightness in the other direction. When the brightness
is at the right level, wait a moment without pressing the button
until the light ashes to indicate the setting has been saved.
Press the cooking mode button for removing cooking odors and
fumes via the cooker hood.
Clean the surfaces of the cooker hood with a damp
cloth and a mild dishwashing detergent. Do not use
abrasives or solvents for cleaning.
Grease lters should be cleaned about twice a month
by washing by hand in warm water. Washing in the
dishwasher may cause a color change on the surface
of the lter.
If regular cleaning is not carried out, the
accumulated grease may cause a re hazard.

AUTOMATIC BOOST
The ventilation unit is equipped with sensors that measure
the indoor air, and ventilation is boosted if necessary. During
automatic boost, the boost mode light is dim. The boost can be
interrupted by pressing the mode selection button.

Two presses.
120 minutes
Three presses.
10 hours | summer mode
Pressing and holding the button engages summer mode for 10
hours, allowing more cool night air to be imported to the apart-
ment. Note that the function must not be used during the
heating season!
NOTE! It is forbidden to ambé food under the cooker hood.

Ventilation unit status
The status messages of the ventilation unit, which is con-
trolled with the cooker hood, are indicated as follows:
Service reminder
All mode selection LEDs are ashing. The service
interval set for the ventilation unit has expired.
The service is acknowledged by pressing the mode
selection button for 5 seconds.
Ventilation unit shut down
Away mode LED is ashing. The ventilation unit is
shut o. The unit can be started by pressing the
mode selection button.
Malfunction
All LEDs are ashing. There is a serious malfunc-
tion in the ventilation unit, contact an authorized
service company.
