Donning Instructions
1. See Donning Instruction pictogram
on the inside-front of the vest.
2. Put vest on by loosening the straps
on the “X” adjuster. Slip on over the
head.
CAUTION: Do Not Vest Under Clothing
3. Adjust back straps on each side by
pulling the loose ends down and
forward. The vest should be snug
against the body.
4. Fold and tuck excess straps, as
necessary, into strap stowage
pockets.
5. To doff the vest, unclip the buckle on
the left-hand side. The vest can now
be pulled over the head.
Inflation and Use Instructions
1. See Operating Instruction pictogram
on the inside-front of the vest.
2. Do not inflate life vest while inside the
aircraft.
3. After exiting the aircraft, locate and
grab the beaded inflation handle with
both hands. Pull sharply away from
the body.
4. Oral inflation tubes are located on the
left side and right side of the bladder.
Remove from Velcro keepers and
blow into them for secondary inflation
method.
5. The underarm flotation bladder will
wrap around the body and sit
underneath the arms.
The UA-80 EVOLUTION constant wear life vest is an encapsulated
flotation device designed for constant wear while in an aircraft. The
buoyancy chamber has manual CO
2
inflators and secondary oral
inflation tubes. The vest is approved under TSO-C13g.
