1. Open the Box and Find a location to plug in the Gateway
2. Unpack, assemble, and plug Gateway to 120VAC Supply
3. Creates and Configure Customer Property
4. Creates Customer account and send Email Invitation
5. Customer Logs into water.symmons.com
6. Download the Evolution App for iOS or Android and Sign-In
7. Scan Gateway QR Code and Complete App Steps
8. Plug a Temperature Probe into a Sensor Module and Turn ON
9. Install Temperature Sensor
10. Scan Temperature Sensor Module and Complete App Steps
11. Plug Clamp-on Keyence Sensor Probe into Sensor Module and plug power supply
into a 120VAC outlet
12. Install Clamp-on Flow Sensor onto pipe
13. Scan Sensor Module and Complete App Steps
14. Setup Other Users
15. Configure Alerts
16. Set Meeting for System follow-up (1-2 weeks from Training)

Installation - Temperature Sensor
1. Turn on Sensor
3. Install Temperature Sensor - Insulated Pipe
A. Turn Module ON by pressing and
holding the button for five (5)
seconds
B. Hold until light flashes
A. Locate where Sensor will be
placed along 1 foot of insulated
pipe. Confirm there is 6 inches
of insulation on either side of the
location.
BUsing the provided coring device, core a hole into the insulation. Remove cor-
ing device and discard insulation.
C. Inspect newly cored hole for ex-
cess insulation. Verify ALL insula-
tion has been removed and bare
pipe is visible.

Installation - Temperature Sensor (Cont'd)
DLocate Thermal Paste. Apply a drop of Thermal Paste the size of a sunflower
seed to Sensor. DO NOT allow Thermal Paste to exceed the perimeter of Sen-
sor.
EPlace sensor against desired location. Verify Sensor Enclosure is aligned per-
pendicular to the pipe and tighten Zip Ties.
NOTE: During any installation, press and hold the device button for 5 seconds to turn on. After a
few seconds, the device should respond with 4 green beeps. Refer to the back of the device for
more information.
2A. Install Temperature Sensor - Insulated Pipe
A. Apply thermal paste and use the provided Insulation Ring to fit to pipe.
B. Verify sensor is perpendicular to pipe and tighten Zip Ties.
