HDD installation guide
The SYVIO 200A's salelist does not includeHDD,the user gets itand installs HDD forthe NMT
functions.The SYVIO 200Asupports SATA HDD andits installation guide asbelow.
1)Fix bracket for thehard disk
2)Undo the bottom screwof the player andpull the top coverboard of the player
3)Put the hard diskinto the player andfix screw
4)Shut the top coverboard of the playerand fix the bottomscrew
Note:Please turn off theplayer and unplug allthe connector before installinghard disk.

There are twomethods of the NMT installation,as bellow:
The first method:InstallNMT from the U disk,you maydownload the installationfile from
(http://www.syvio.com.cn/syvio/nmt/updnmt.htm) andcopy to the U disk.

Quick TV modesettiing
For quick settingsof the output video mode, please use the "TV Mode" key on the remote control,
following with oneof the numeric keys, as below:
TV Mode +0 = Auto TV mode
TV Mode +1 = Component/Composite NTSC 480i

Setup
This page allowsyou to configure various
settings for yourdevice:
Home - Takes you backto the Media Source
page, or thelast server you logged into.
Preferences - General settingsfor the device
like languages, subtitlelanguages,photo
transition effects, lockingthe Setup pages,
etc.
Audio / Video- Digital/Analogue Video output settings aswell as aspectratio control and
digital/analogue audio outputsettings.
Network - Displays currentIP information and allows configuration of network and timezone
settings.
Network Share - Configure yourremote SMB and NFS shared folders here.
NMT Applications - Configure theNMT media servers run state, SMB workgroup, device name
and also theunified password which applies to both SMB and FTP access. Torrent settings
allows the configurationof the BitTorrent client.
Maintenance - Displays thecurrent device firmware version and options for firmware update
and NMT morphing
How to setup network share?
You can choose to browse the availableSMB shares ona Samba network. NFS shares will have
to be enteredmanually.URL format for the network share paths:
SMB - smb://<ipaddress>/dir
NFS - nfs://<ipaddress>:/dir (note the extra colon after IP address)
- nfs-tcp://<ip address>:/dir(NFS using TCP protocol instead ofUDP)

*NAS (SMB server)
This server allowsa remote PC to access the locally installed HDD on the NMTas a SMB
share.
Usage Instructions:
1. Click onStart->Run
2. Type"\\<NMT Hostname>" or"\\<NMT IP ADDRESS>" intothe text box
3. To allow foreasier accesses to your NMT NASin future, you can choose to map the SMB
share as adrive under your "My Computer" folder of your PC. Todo this:
a) Type"\\<NMT Hostname>" or"\\<NMT IP ADDRESS>" intothe text box.Alternatively you
can go to"My Network Places", click on "Viewworkgroup computers", browseand select your
NMT device.
b) Right clickon the shared folder and select "Map Network Drive
How to setup NMT?
* UPnPAV Server
A standardUPnP AV server for streaming media directlyfrom the NMT's HDD. The server
name will bedisplayed as '<hostname>: UPnP AV Server'.
Usage Instructions:
- Under Setup->MediaServer, you can see the current status of the media server.
A runningserver will be detectable and accessible by all UPnPAV or DLNA compliant DMP
- You can alsoaccess this serverfrom a PC by going to the following link from a webbrowser :
http://<NMT IP Address>:8088/
* FTP Server
Allows easy remoteaccess and management of the NMT's HDD. The serveris always running
by default afterinstalling the NMT applications.
Usage Instructions:
- The FTPserver runs onthe default port (21). So just point your FTPclient to <NMT IP
Address>
Username: ftpuser
Password: 1234 (default)
Note: FTP usernameis not configurable, but the passwordcan be configuredand is shared
with the SMBserver.
c)Select the driveyou want your NMT
shared folders tobe represented.

The path tothe NFS server on NMT is <NMT IP ADDRESS>:/share

* Torrent
A BitTorrent client fordirect download tothe internal HDD.
Usage Instructions:
- Torrents can bemanaged by either clicking the Web Services->Torrentlinks from theNMT,or
using a webbrowser on your PC and going to the following URL :http://<NMT IP
ADDRESS>:8883/torrent/bt.cgi or followTorrent links from
http://<NMT IPADDRESS>:8088
- Alternatively, for WindowsXP, you can goto Start->My Network Places->NetworkTasks.
Select the 'ShowIcons for networked UPnP devices' option. The NMT willshow up with it's
hostname. Double clickingon the icon will
bring you toa page that will allow you to select the Torrentoption.
- Youcan upload torrent files and control the
torrent download settingsfrom this page.
- Torrent files are started automatically
whenever the NMTbrowser encounters a
.torrent file.
You canalso load .torrentfile from USB storage
devices.
- Youcan also configure some client settings
from the Setup->Torrent page onthe NMT.

How to operateusb slave function?
This only appliesto some models which ship with a USB-PC connector, whichallows
connection of theNMT to the PC and the HDD on the NMT will appearas a USB HDD
to the PC.
1. Power upNMT unit, plug in the provided cable between the USB-PC connector to aUSB
slot on yourPC.
2. When theunit is idle or in Browser mode, it will immediately switch the internal HDD to make
it visible tothe PC as a USB HDD.
3. During thisperiod, the NMT can still function as a basic DMA, all NMTapplications will be
stopped at thispoint, however.
4. Note thatas the HDD on the NMT is formatted as a EXT3 partitionby default, you will need
a special driverto support EXT3 on Windows PCs. Linux PCs will be able to support it without
additional drivers.A suggested driver is
EXT2FSD.
5. Aftercompleting your file operation on the USB HDD from your Windows PC, it is advised
to"Safely Remove Hardware"by clicking on the USB icon in the Windows taskbar before
unplugging the USBconnection. Otherwise, a power cycle is required to get the internal
HDD back intonormal operation.
6. When notusing the USB slave function, it is advised not to leave the cable plugged in.
