WARNING
Tau Steril Mini Automatic is a hot-air steriliser: do not put any humid objects
inside the sterilisation chamber to avoid electric shocks.

The oven is meant for the sterilisation of surgical instruments by surgeons or
paramedical staff. The materials to be sterilised must stand up to the high
working temperatures, i.e. from 0 °C to 200 °C. Do not insert any toxic
material inside the Manufacturer Tau Steril declines any
responsibility to this respect.
MANUFACTURER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
This device has been manufactured according to the EC norms. The usage of
this hot air oven is limited to those functions for which it has been projected
and realised. The Manufacturer declines any responsibility on risks or
dangers due to improper usage by operators.
Guarantee lasts 12 months starting form the invoice date.
INSTALLATION
Verify that transport and/or stocking have respected acceptable humidity
conditions in order not to affect the safety of the sterilizer. Stock and install
the device in a humidity safe place (Tau Steril declines any responsibilities
concerning the safety of the device if this should be kept in an unsuitable
way).
Remove the device from its packaging with extreme care and check its
integrity.
Verify that electric supply indicated on the label on the back corresponds to
to the one available in the installation area (max variation of electrical
supply ± 10%).
Verify that the main electric plant has an earth, set the oven on a horizontal
surface to grant plenty of ventilation.

Do not position it less than 10 cm from walls or other devices to allow proper
ventilation around the machine. Do not obstruct the correct opening of the
door with any object.
Plug in to the wall socket and position the main switch to ON; make sure
that the device is on.
Tau Steril declines any responsibilities if these instructions are not observed.

Suggested times and temperatures
The sterilisation temperatures must correspond to the specific values
documented and declared by the Manufacturer of the material and /or
instrument to be sterilised. Suggested temperatures by hot air sterilizers
range from 150°C to 180°C. Important: the operator must respect the
suggested sterilisation temperatures.
The maximum adjustable temperature is 200°C.
The suggested sterilisation times range from a minimum of 30
minutes to a maximum of 45-60 minutes.
The maximum adjustable time is 120 minutes.
HOW TO USE
1. Carefully clean and dry the instruments to be sterilised.

3. To set the right temperature: rotate the thermostat knob to reach the
desired temperature
4. Rotate the timer know clockwise to set the desired sterilisation time
(max. 120 min)
5. At the end, the two lights will confirm that the machine is running (green
light = functioning, yellow light = thermostat). Before stabilising on the
set temperature the yellow light will flash to indicate the rising
temperature inside the chamber.

For a correct use of the appliance, we suggest that you do not fill the tray
with too many instruments to grant a good and uniform circulation of air.
Transport and storage
This hot-air steriliser is delivered with its original package and is considered
as FRAGILE good, as indicated on the cardboard box. In case of restitution
for repair, please use its original package. In case of storage, keep the
device away from humidity to safeguard its electrical components.
Maintenance and cleaning
Before each cleaning operation, unplug the device and let the machine cool
down first.
Clean the inside of the sterilisation chamber DAILY with a cloth moistened
with denaturated alcohol ( 0%).
Not do spray water do not let water penetrate the chamber to avoid
electric shocks.
Check once a month that the supply cable is in good conditions.
In case of bad functioning, contact the Manufacturer.
In case of repair, we recommend that you send back the device to the
Manufacturer with its original package.
Check periodically / yearly the temperature with the endowed pre-
set thermometer.
If problems arise, verify periodically that the safety device (thermostat) is
functioning.
If the safety device (thermostat) goes on, unplug the oven and press the
thermostat’s red button.

SAFETY NORMS AND PRECAUTIONS
During usage and while extracting your instruments from the oven, wear
protective gloves to avoid burnings (outside the plate warns: BEWARE:
BURNING DANGER!)
TAKE CARE WHEN EXTRACTING THE INSTRUMENTS FROM THE OVEN
DANGER OF BURNING WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
This hot-air oven must be used only by authorised and specialised
personnel who are familiar with sterilisation techniques times and
temperatures.
This device must be used only for the purpose it has been meant for:
sterilisation of surgical instruments by surgeons or paramedical staff.
It is necessary to take any possible precautions to avoid improper use by
unauthorised personnel. It is forbidden to modify or alter in any way the
thermic and electric safety protections of the device or put them out of use.
It is also forbidden to try to repair the machine on your own.
When servicing or cleaning the machine, make sure it is unplugged and
completely cooled down.
In case of sterilisation of surgical instruments (scalpels or pointed
instruments) wear protection shoes.
Periodically check that t the supply cable is not damaged.
