Procedure

Before touching any electrical components located in the ASEPT.2X housing, always turn off the unit and
disconnect from the power outlet.

1. The unit does
not work

1. THE UNIT DOESN’T WORK.
1.1 Check if the unit is plugged to a functioning electrical source.

1.2 Check if the power button under the unit is switched ON.

1.3 Check if the power source is functional. It requires that you plug any other electrical
appliance in the outlet e.g. a corded lamp. If the appliance doesn’t work, have the wall
outlet checked by a qualified electrician.
1.4 Open up the two (2) front panels. The first access panel bares the ASEPT.2X blue decal. The
second access panel is the second to the left of the first one.

1.4.1 Tools required:
-One 4 mm Allen key.
-One PHILIPS #3 screwdriver.

1.4.2 Disconnect the power from the unit then carefully lower the unit on its side to
unscrew the panels from the underneath mounting plate.

1.4.3 Using the PHILIPS #3 screwdriver, remove and put aside the 4 screws and the 4
washers for the two access panels.

1.4.4 Using the 4mm Allen key, remove and put aside the top 4 screws and 4 washers for
the two access panels.

1.4.5 Remove the panels and put back the unit vertically on its wheels. Use the ALLEN key
for extra help to remove panels. Plug in the unit and turn ON the power switch.

1.5 Check inside the unit: are any components lit up?
IF YES
1.6 Check if the wiring to the «start/stop» buttons is properly connected to the PLC.
1.6.1 Push/pull on the push buttons wiring to make sure that they are tightly connected.

1.6.2 Push/pull on the wiring to the PLC to make sure that there are no loose connections.

1.7 Check if the PLC is well connected to the power supply.
1.7.1 Check first if the power supply is well connected.

1.7.2 Check if the connections to the PLC are firmly attached.
Wiring from the power supply is linked to connectors that share power between the
PLC and the router.

1.8 Check for loose or unconnected wires. Secure the connections if you find any. If you are not
sure, contact SANUVOX for any supplemental information.
1.9 Check if the circuit breaker is tripped.
If it is in the OPEN (green indicator, lowered position), rearm the breaker by pulling the lever
up.

1.10 Check power feed.
1.10.1 Using a multi meter or voltmeter:

1.10.2 Put the two probes on the wiring terminals bringing power to the breaker. You
should expect a voltage reading from the multi meter almost the same as the source
power (e.g. 120V in North America). If the reading is zero, the power wiring may be
defective.

2. FAILURE TO START A DISINFECTION CYCLE (The start/stop buttons
flash alternately or still red).
2.1 Make sure that both towers are connected to an electrical outlet. Unless in « Primary unit
only » mode, both towers can only work when paired.

2.2 Check if towers are properly configured from one router to the other.
Link both towers together using the Ethernet cable.
If the «start/stop» buttons stop flashing alternately and are lit, please contact
SANUVOX to verify router's configuration.

2.3 Nearby electronic devices may interfere. Move the machine away from potential sources of
interference and verify the functionality of the unit again.
2.4 Open the unit’s two access panels. (see step 1.4)
2.5 Check if routers are functional.
2.5.1 Using a computer, with Wi-Fi or cable connected, open the command window and
ping the router's IP addresses.

2.5.2 Check if the router is connected to the 24V power supply. In the case of a bad
connection, the router should emit no light signal.
2.5.2.1 Be sure that connections to 24V power supply are effective.

2.5.2.2 Check connections to the router.

PLC and the router)

2.5.3 Check if any electrical wires are loose or disconnected. If this is the case, secure
tightly the appropriate connections. If unsure, contact SANUVOX for more
information.

2.6 In the same way, check if the PLCs are functional.
2.6.1 Using a computer, with Wi-Fi or cable connected, open the command window and
ping the PLC's IP addresses.
Primary IP address: 192.168.0.1
Secondary IP address: 192.168.0.2
If the PLCs are not detected:
2.6.2 Check if the Ethernet cable between router and PLC is well connected.

IF PLCs are detected:
2.6.3 Check if any electrical wires are loose or disconnected. If this is the case, secure
tightly the appropriate connections. If uncertain, contact SANUVOX for more
information.
