Firmware update procedures
Use the USB port on the front of the unit.
oA USB flash drive with at least 32 MB of capacity is necessary for updating the firmware.
Precautions when updating the firmware
oBefore updating, stop playback and disconnect anything con-
nected to the USB ports.
oWhile updating, never put the unit into standby mode, or dis-
connect the power cord or the USB flash drive being used for
the update.
oDo not access this unit from a computer during an update.
oCompleting the update takes about five minutes.
oSettings must be reset to their default values after updating.
(Settings cannot be retained.)
Update procedures
1 Connect a USB flash drive to the computer that
you are using and delete any les on it.
2 Download the rmware le to the computer from
our website.
The firmware file has a name like the following.
TC_CRNF002_00000000TA00TA_***.zip
Decompress this file on the computer. The following two files
will appear.
TC_CRNF002_00000000TA00TA.of1
TC_CRNF002_00000000TA00TA.of2
oDo not change the names of the decompressed files.
3 Copy the decompressed les to the root folder of
the USB ash drive.
Do not copy any files other than the decompressed files. Do
not copy the compressed file.
4 Conrm that this unit is on.
5 Connect the USB ash drive with the decompressed
les to the USB port on the front of the unit.
6 Press the SOURCE button to change the source to
USB(F).
“Now Initializing…” appears on the display, followed by the
name of the USB flash drive.
oLoading the USB flash drive takes about 20 to 30 seconds.
7 Press the MENU button to open the menu and use
the direction (k/j) buttons to select “Update”.
