OPERATIONOFCONTROLS
DIRECTIONALPEDAL
The directionalpedalcontrolsdirection of travel
and the propelling speed of the machine.You
change the speed of the machine withthe
pressure ofyourfoot; the harderyou press the
fasterthe machine travels.
Forward:Press the top of the directionalpedal
withthe toe ofyourfoot.
Reverse:Press the bottomof the directional
pedal withthe heelofyourfoot.
FORSAFETY:Before starting machine,
make sureback-up alarm sounds and
lightswhenreversing machine.
Neutral:Takeyourfootoff the directionalpedal
and itwill returntothe neutralposition.

The toe angle of the directionalpedal is
adjustable.Removethe clevispin,movethe top
of the pedaltothe angle needed,and put the
clevispinthrough the adjustmentholes.
BRAKE PEDAL
The brake pedalstopsthe machine.
Stop:Takeyourfootoff the directionalpedaland
letitreturntothe neutralposition.Step on the
brake pedal.
PARKINGBRAKELEVER
The parking brakeleversetsand releasesthe
frontwheelbrakes.
Set: Pull the parking brakeleverup.
FORSAFETY:Beforeleaving or
servicing machine;stop on level
surface,setparking brake,turn off
machine and remove key.
Release:Pushthe parking brakeleverdown.

The horn button operatesthe horn.
Sound:Press the button.

brush and side brushleverintothe Onposition.

The hopperdoorleveropensand closesthe
hopperdoorand dustdoor. Open the hopperdoor
when sweeping.Closethe hopperdoorwhen
emptying the hoppertocontroldebrisand dust.
Open:Pushthe hopperdoorleverintothe Open
position and leaveit there.
Hold:Releasethe hopperdoorleverintothe
middle position.
Close:Pull and holdthe hopperdoorleverinto
the Close position.
NOTE:The hopperdoorwill notcloseif the main
brush,side brush,and vacuumfan are operating.

the main brush.The main brushcan be lowered
intotwosweeping positions;down and float.

Down:Pull the main brush position leverback
and tothe left intothe Downposition.
Float: Pull the main brush position leverback and
tothe left and overintothe Floatposition.
Up:Pull the main brush position leverall the way

fromafire.The ThermoSentrywill stop the
vacuumfan.

ENGINEWATERTEMPERATURELIGHT
The engine watertemperaturelightcomeson
when the temperature of the engine coolantis
morethan 107_C(225_F).Stop operating the
machine.Locatethe problemand haveit
corrected.
