SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
This machine is intended for commercial use.
It is designed exclusively to burnish dry hard floors in an
indoor environment and is not constructed for any other
use. Use only recommended burnishing pads and
commercially available floor cleaners and waxes intended
for machine application.
All operators must read, understand and
practice the following safety precautions.
The following warning alert symbol and the “FOR SAFETY”
heading are used throughout this manual as indicated in their
description:
WARNING: To warn of hazards or unsafe practices
which could result in severe personal injury or death.
FOR SAFETY: To identify actions which must be followed
for safe operation of equipment.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in personal
injury, electrical shock, fire or explosion.
WARNING: Fire or Explosion Hazard:
–Do not use or pick up flammable materials.
–Do not use near flammable liquids, vapors or
combustible dusts.
–Batteries emit hydrogen gas. Keep machine away
from heat, sparks and open flame.
–When recharging battery, make sure area is well
ventilated.
This machine is not equipped with an explosion proof
motor. The electric motor will spark upon start up and
during operation which could cause a flash fire or
explosion if machine is used in an area where flammable
vapors/liquids or combustible dusts are present.
WARNING: Electrical Hazard:
–Do not charge battery with damaged power supply
cord. Regularly inspect cord for damage. Do not
modify plug.
If the charger supply cord is damaged or broken, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
–Disconnect battery cable and charger cord and
remove 30 amp fuse before servicing.
–Do not unplug charger plug by pulling on cord.
WARNING: Spinning brush. Keep hands away
.
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard.
Do not use
outdoors. Do not expose to rain/moisture.
Store indoors.
BATTERY CHARGER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
Make sure power socket corresponds with charger plug
and voltage rating.
UK Market – The charger power supply cord plug is equipped
with a 5 amp fuse. If fuse replacement is required, it must be
replaced by a 5 amp fuse conforming to BS1362. Do not use
charger if fuse cover is missing.
FOR SAFETY:
1. Do not operate machine:
-Unless trained and authorized by a person
responsible for their safety.
-Unless operator manual is read and understood.
-Unless with mentally, physically and the sensory
capability of following machine instructions.
-In an area where flammable vapors/liquids or
combustible dusts are present.
-Outdoors.
-If not in proper operating condition.
-If batteries emit an unusual odor. Move machine to a
ventilated area and contact Customer Service
immediately.
-If batteries are leaking any substance. Avoid contact
with battery substance and contact Customer
Service immediately.
-If batteries become excessively hot. Disconnect
battery charger. Move machine to a ventilated area
and contact Customer Service immediately.
-Without dust collector container in place.
2. Before operating machine:
-Make sure all safety devices are in place and
operate properly.
-Wear non-slip shoes.
-Follow safety guidelines concerning wet floors.
-Follow mixing, handling and disposal instructions
on cleaner/wax containers.
3. When operating machine:
-Report machine damage or faulty operation
immediately.
-Keep children and unauthorized persons away.
-Do not operate on inclines.
4. Before leaving machine:
-Stop on level surface.
-Turn power switch off and remove key.
5. When servicing machine:
-Stop on level surface.
-Turn power switch off and remove key.
-Do not tilt machine back unless key is removed.
-All repairs must be performed by qualified service
person.
-Avoid moving parts. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry.
-Contact Service for battery replacement.
-Do not power spray or hose off machine. Electrical
malfunction may occur.
-Do not modify the machine from its original design.
6. When transporting machine:
-Turn power switch off and remove key.
-Use a mechanical lift or ramp when elevating
machine. Do not attempt to manually lift machine.
-Do not wheel up or down stairs.
-Use tie-down strap to secure machine when
transporting by vehicle.
-Do not roll on inclines when tilted back and resting
on rear caster.
