This kit is intended for machines manufacturered
before serial #10266229.
The purpose of this kit is to help prevent dam-
age to the newly installed circuit board.

KIT CONTENTS
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Installation Time: 1 Hour
TOOLS REQUIRED: 13mm & 1/2” socket
wrenches, continuity tester or VOM meter
1. Park the machine on a clean, level surface.
2. Turn off the machine and remove the key.
3. Unplug the positive battery cable at the red
connector (Figure 1).
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard.
Disconnect Battery Cables Before Servicing
Machine.
4. Disconnect the operator seat connector
from the main wire harness and lift the seat
from the machine (Figure 1).

5. Remove the FaST detergent pack
(if equipped) and remove the FaST deter-
gent holder from the front of the battery
compartment shroud (Figure 2).

6. Remove the two bolts that secure the
battery compartment shroud and lift the
shroud from the machine (Figure 3).

7. Remove the bolt and flat washer that
connect the control panel mount to the
actuator mount (Figure 4).

8. Place one of the star washers from the kit
between the control panel mount and the
actuator mount and reattach the bolt and
flat washer (Figure 5).

9. Remove one of the two bolts and flat
washers used to mount the actuator
bracket to the main frame. Place one of the
star washers from the kit under the flat
washer and place back onto machine. To
ease reassembly use super glue to hold the
hardware in place (Figure 6).

10. Reattach the seat support shroud, seat and
the FaST detergent pack and pack holder.
11. Remove bolt and flat washer (A) from pedal
mounting bracket -- discard bolt; save
washer. Replace with one star washer, bolt
and ground wire from the kit, along with the
flat washer that was saved (Figure 7).

12. Route the wire inside the steering column
shroud from (A) to (B) (Figure 8).

13. Attach opposite end of the ground wire to
the jack bracket bolt (B) as shown
(Figure 9).

14. If a star washer is not already installed, add
one from the kit, beneath the clamp, on this
seat support stud (Figure 10).

CHECK CONTINUITY:
NOTE: For the tests below you may need to
scrape a bit of paint off to get down to the
metal for points 2 & 3. This should be done
sparingly and in an inconspicuous location.
1. To check for continuity between the
steering tower and the control board
housing, use either a continuity tester or
VOM set to ohms between points 1 & 2.
The continuity meter should beep or light
up, the VOM should read less than about
10 ohms (Figure 11).

2. To check for continuity between the seat
pan and the control board use the same
procedure across points 2 & 3. Note, if you
have continuity between 1 & 2 you can test
across either of points 1 or 2 to point 3
( 1 -- t o -- 3 o r 2 -- t o -- 3 ) .
If you don’t have continuity, make sure that
the star washers broke through the painted
surfaces (Figure 12).
