NOTE: Never process very hot liquids. This

• When using the blender ensure there
is adequate room in the vessel to avoid
splashingthecontents.
• The blade on this blender is sharp. Treat
it with care at all times and never allow
ngers,hair,orclothingtocomeintocontact
withtheblade.
• Ifyouwishtoscrapethecontentsofabowl
withaspatula,removetheblenderrst.
• Donotprocessfoodcontaininghardobjects
which cannot be safely broken up by the
blade.
• Donotusetheblenderwithhotliquids.

Cleaning
Never clean the appliance with scourers, abrasive pads or
chemicals.
Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning.
The mixing jug is dishwasher safe. No other part of the
appliance is suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher.
Exercise care when cleaning any part of the appliance that
includes a blade.
• Disassemble the appliance into its component parts.
Blender stem
• Wash the blender stem attachment under running
water, without the use of abrasive cleaner or detergents.
Note: Do not immerse the attachment stem in water because
over time the lubrication on the bearings will deteriorate.
• After nishing cleaning the detachable attachment,
place it upright to drain.
Motor body
• Wipe the motor body with a damp cloth. Never immerse
it in water for cleaning - DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK.
• Reassemble all the components.
• Dry all components thoroughly.

Unpacking
Unpack your blender carefully.
Packing list
• Blender Motor
• Blender attachment
• Jug
If any items are missing or damaged return the item to
your nearest Tesco store for replacement. Please have your
receipt with you when you call.
Retain the packaging. If you dispose of the packaging do
so with regard to any recycling regulations in your area.
Before using your blender for the rst time
Please read all instructions in this User Guide with
particular reference to the safety notes.
• Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate
matches your mains voltage.
• Clean the blender. Refer to the ‘CLEANING’ section for
instructions.
Important notes
• The maximum time you can run the unit with no load
is 15 seconds.
• Blades are very sharp, handle them with care.
• Ensure that the blender motor is unplugged from
the power outlet before assembling or removing
attachments.
Operation
Power and speed control
The appliance features variable speed control.

• Set the speed you want with the
speed control before switching the
appliance on.
The small dots indicate slower
speeds, the larger dots indicate
higher speeds.
Use the slow speed where possible especially when
you commence blending, whisking etc or if you are
smoothing out lumps or reducing food to a puree.
The high speed can be used as a nishing touch or when
a particularly ne mix is needed.
• Press and hold the On/O button
to switch the appliance on.
• Release the On/O button to
switch the appliance o.
NOTE: Never run the appliance for more than 1 minute
continuously. After 1 minute of continuous running the
appliance should be left to cool for 3 minutes.
Turbo button
• Hold the turbo button for a
momentary boost of speed.
NOTE: The turbo button should only be used for a few
seconds. Never hold the turbo button for more than this
time or the appliance may overheat.

Fitting the blender attachment
• Make sure the motor body is unplugged.
• Hold the motor body in one hand and the attachment
in the other.
• Align the index mark
on the motor body with
unlocked ( ) on the
attachment.

• Push the attachment
against the motor
body and rotate the
attachment to align the
index mark with locked
( ) on the attachment.
• Make sure the attachment is rmly locked to the motor
body before use.
To detach the attachment
• Unplug the appliance.
• Hold the motor in one hand and the attachment in the
other.
• Rotate the attachment to align the index mark with
unlocked ( ).
• Lift o the motor body
Using the blender
The blender is ideal for making purees, cold sauces,
mayonnaise and mixing drinks.
• Assemble the blender attachment to the motor body.
• Make sure that the jug or bowl you are using is deep
enough to avoid spraying or splashing.
• Introduce the blender into the food before switching it
on to avoid splashing.
• Connect the motor body to mains power.
• Set the speed and switch on to blend.
Use a slow speed where possible - higher speeds can be
used as a nishing touch.
NEVER use the blender in a vessel while it is being heated
on the stove.
NEVER let the base of the blade housing come into
prolonged contact with the body of a vessel while
blending.
