Proper use
The “Teufel AIRY” headphones serve
to play back audio signals trans-
mitted by an audio system via the
enclosed cable or via Bluetooth®.
Only use the headphones as
described in this user manual. Any
other use will be deemed as not in
accordance with the instructions and
may lead to damage to property or
even persons.
The manufacturer accepts no liability
for damage caused by improper use.
The headphones are intended for
private use.
Explanation of terms
You can find the following signal
terms in this user manual:
WARNING
This signal term indicates a
moderate risk, which, if not
avoided, may result in death
or severe injury.
CAUTION
This signal term indicates a
low risk, which, if not avoided,
may result in minor or
moderate injury.
NOTICE
This signal term warns you of
potential damage.
Safety notes
This chapter contains general safety
notes which you should always
observe to protect yourself and third
parties. Also observe the warning
notes in each chapter of this user
manual.
WARNING
Danger of suffocation! Children
can become trapped in the pack-
aging film when playing and suffo-
cate.
–Make sure that children do not play
with the packaging film, do not pull
small parts off of the headphones
and put them in their mouth.
Risk in road traffic! The head-
phones significantly dampen
external noise.
–Therefore, for reasons of road
safety, do not wear your head-
phones whilst driving vehicles or
cycling. If you are a pedestrian,
pay attention to your surroundings
while wearing the headphones,
especially when crossing the
street.

Attention! Risk of explosion/fire!
Lithium rechargeable batteries
can explode if handled improperly.
–Do not heat or burn the recharge-
able battery. Only charge the
rechargeable battery at an ambient
temperature of 10–45 °C. Do
not use the headphones in envi-
ronments where there is a risk of
explosion. Do not expose batteries
and rechargeable batteries to
direct sunlight.
Interference caused by radio
waves! Radio waves could affect
the function of other sensitive
devices that are not protected.
–Only use the headphones in
environments where the use of
Bluetooth®is permitted.
Risk of damage! Improper handling
of the device may result in
damages.
–Ensure that the headphones do
not become wet, protect them from
moisture, heat (e.g. during the
summer in cars) and mechanical
influences (e.g. severe shocks,
pressure and falling). Always take
hold of the plug when pulling out
the connector cord. Do not pull on
the cable.
WARNING
Danger of explosion! Improperly
inserted batteries may leak and
cause a fire or an explosion.
–Only replace batteries with the
same or an equivalent type.
–Never expose batteries to exces-
sive heat, e.g. to direct sunlight or
fire.

Extended listening at
high volumes may lead
to hearing loss.
–To avoid damage to health,
avoid extended listening at
high volumes.
–Only connect headphones to
headphone outputs! Do not
connect them to the speaker
output of an amplifier.
–Set the volume control of
your audio source to a low
level before you put on the
headphones.

Charging The Rechargeable Battery
1. Use the enclosed USB cable to connect the head-
phones to the USB port on a PC or a USB adapter.
The LED on the headphones’ control panel will flash
in white during the charging process.
The LED will be constantly illuminated as soon as
the rechargeable battery has charged completely.
Depending on the output of the USB port used, a full
charge can take up to 2.5hours.
2. Disconnect the USB charging cable from the head-
phones’ USB jack after charging. The LED will go out.
The rechargeable battery in your Teufel AIRY has a
capacitance of approx. 20hours if the headphones are
operated in Bluetooth®mode.
If the rechargeable battery of the headphones is almost empty (<10%) and has
to be charged, the headphones will emit an acoustic signal and they will flash
quickly in white three times every six minutes. The flashing is repeated twice in
an interval of one second each.
With IOS devices, you can display the exact charge level of the headphones
in your battery widget. To show the battery widget, swipe to the right in the
home menu and select the widget from the list.
Activating/Deactivating The Headphones
• Push and hold for 2 seconds to switch the headphones on or off.
• The last volume setting will be saved when you switch off the headphones.

Bluetooth®Connection
You can connect compatible devices such as most smartphones to your Teufel
AIRY headphones via Bluetooth®(pairing). The audio output of your smartphone
is then emitted via the headphones.
Bluetooth®mode only works if the 3.5 mm jack plug cord has not been
connected.
Establishing a Bluetooth®connection
1. Push and hold for 2 seconds to switch the headphones on. The LED will
quickly blink in blue. The headphones are in pairing mode.
2. Enable the Bluetooth® function on your external player (e.g. smartphone).
3. Select “Teufel Airy”. As soon as a connection has been successfully estab-
lished, the LED will be illuminated in blue for one second. Afterwards, it will
slowly flash in blue.
The Bluetooth®connection will be terminated as soon as the headphones
are too far away from the external player. To restore the connection, move
the headphones within range of the external player within 10minutes.
The headphones save the recently connected devices (max. 7) and automatically
connect to the last device that was paired.
Changing/restoring the Bluetooth®connection
• Push and briefly hold + if you want to connect the headphones with
another external player or if there is a connection issue and you want to manu-
ally terminate the connection.
The headphones will issue the voice message “Disconnected” and the LED will
quickly blink in blue.
• Now, you can re-establish the previous connection or connect the headphones
to another external player (see chapter “Establishing a Bluetooth®connec-
tion”).
