Safety Notes
Danger of electric shock!
Improper electrical installation or ex-
cessive mains voltage may result in an
electrical shock.
• The device is only suitable for a mains voltage
of 220 V–240 V~ / 50 Hz. When connecting the
device, make sure that the correct voltage is
present. You can find more information about
this on the rating plate.
• Only use the enclosed wall adapter.
• Check the device regularly for damage.
Immediately disconnect the mains plug/wall
adapter and do not operate the device if its
housing or the mains connection line is defec-
tive or exhibits other visible damages.
• This device is disconnected from the grid by
pulling the power plug. Thus, make sure that
the power plug is always easily accessible.
• If the device emits smoke, smells burnt or pro-
duces unusual sounds, immediately disconnect
it from the mains and do not operate it further.
• Place the device such that no vents are
blocked.
• The standby button does not disconnect the
device from the power supply. Therefore, set
the device up so that the mains plug and wall
adapter are easily accessible and can be quick-
ly disconnected from the mains if necessary.
• Never open the device housing.
Repairs may only be carried out by an author-
ised specialist workshop. Only parts that match
the original specifications may be used. There
are electrical and mechanical parts in this
device which are necessary in order to avoid
exposure to sources of danger.
• Only use the accessory products specified by
the manufacturer.
• Do not insert any objects through the vents in
the housing.
• Only use the device indoors.
• Do not operate the device in wet rooms and
protect it from dripping and splashing water.
Make sure that no vases or other liquid-filled
objects are located on or near the device in or-
der to prevent liquid from penetrating the hous-
ing. If water or any foreign object does enter the
casing, immediately disconnect the wall adapter
and remove any batteries if present. In such a
case, send the device to our service address.
• Never touch the mains plug / wall adapter with
damp hands.
Fire hazard!
Improper use may lead to damage or
fire.
• Do not place open flames such as burning can-
dles or similar on the device.
• Ensure sufficient ventilation.
• Do not place the device in direct sunlight.
• Only use the device indoors.
• Do not operate the device in wet rooms and pro-
tect it from dripping and splashing water. Make
sure that no vases or other liquid-filled objects
are located on or near the device in order to
prevent liquid from penetrating the housing.

Danger to hearing!
Extended listening at high volumes may
lead to hearing loss.
• To avoid damage to health, avoid extended
listening at high volumes.
• When the volume is set high, always keep a cer-
tain distance from the device and never place
your ear directly on the speaker.
• Particularly when the subwoofer has been set to
maximum volume and the unit is activated, very
high noise pressure may suddenly be produced.
This may have psychological consequences and
also cause physical injury. Children and pets are
particularly at risk. Set your signal source device
volume control to a low setting before turning
on the power.
Danger to children!
Children can become trapped in the
plastic wrapping when playing and suf-
focate.
• Do not allow children to play with the device
or the plastic wrapping. There is a danger of
suffocation.
• Ensure that children do not remove small parts
from the device or take them off of the device
(e.g. The batteries from the remote control, con-
trol knobs or plug adapters). They could swallow
the parts and choke. Never allow children to
operate electrical equipment unsupervised.
Danger of chemical burns!
Leaking battery acid may lead to chemi-
cal burns.
• Do not allow battery acid to come into contact
with skin, eyes or mucous membranes. In the
event of contact with acid, immediately flush
the applicable areas with plenty of clean water
and consult a physician if necessary.
Risk of damage!
External influences may damage or
destroy the device.
• If the device is to be left unsupervised for a long
period (e.g. during a holiday), or if a thunder-
storm is forecast, disconnect the mains plug/
wall adapter from the socket. Otherwise sudden
overvoltage could cause the device to become
defective.
• In the event of prolonged absence, remove the
batteries from the remote control. Leaked bat-
teries may damage the remote control.
• If the device is subjected to warm temperatures
after being cold (e.g. after transport), condensa-
tion may occur inside of it. In this case, wait at
least 2 hours before you connect and activate it.
Risk of injury/damage!
An unsuitable location could lead to
damage.
• If the speakers are not securely mounted, do
not use them in vehicles, in unstable locations,
on wobbly tripods or furniture, on under-di-
mensioned brackets etc. The speakers may tip
or fall over and cause injury to persons or be
damaged themselves.
• Place the speakers in such a way that they
cannot be knocked over inadvertently and make
sure that the cables do not pose a tripping
hazard.
• Carefully follow the user manual.
• Make sure that the wall mounting is done in a
professional manner.
• In case of a wall mounting make sure that the
walls have sufficient carrying capacity.
• Do not place the speakers near heat sources
(e.g. heaters, ovens, other heat generating
equipment such as amplifiers etc.).
Danger of explosion!
Batteries (particularly lithium batteries)
can explode if used improperly.
• Never attempt to recharge batteries.
• Only use batteries of the same or equivalent
type.
• Never heat or short circuit batteries or recharge-
able batteries, or dispose of them in fire.
• Do not expose batteries and rechargeable bat-
teries to direct sunlight.
Risk of injury
An unstable base may cause the device
to tip and injure or even kill persons,
children are particularly at risk. You can prevent a
large number of accidents by taking the following
precautions:
• Only place the subwoofer on the floor.
• If you want to use underframes or speaker
stands, only use those recommended by the
manufacturer.
• When storing the product, also ensure that it
stands safely and that it cannot be knocked
down or over.

Setup location
Cinebar 11
The space under the TV set is an ideal location.
Hang the Cinebar 11 either directly on the wall or set
it up under or in front of the television.
Subwoofer
The location of the subwoofer can be freely selected
and does not influence the other speakers. However,
do not set it up in the corner of the room as this may
result in uncontrollable frequency rises.
Location tips
• Select a stable, level base.
In case of wall mounting, follow the instructions in
the next chapter.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free
from dust.
• Select a location away from heat sources and
direct sunlight.
• Lay the connector cords so that they do not pose
a tripping hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cable or the
devices.
Wall mounting
You will need the following material to mount the
speaker on a solid stone wall:
• 2 x dowels (ø 8 mm)
• 2 x screws, 5 x 50 mm
(screw head øapprox. 10 mm)
Danger of damage and
electric shock!
Proceed with care when mounting the
product on the wall and follow the instructions
below.
• Only qualified persons may mount the
Cinebar 11 on the wall.
• The device may only be mounted on a suitable,
solid wall. Special dowels or anchors may be
necessary when mounting the product on light-
weight walls. Consult a qualified professional in
this case.
• Make sure that there are no cables or pipes in
the drilling areas. Before you drill, use a metal
detector to check the applicable areas.
1. Space the holes in the wall at a distance of 60
cm apart (corresponding to the distance between
the two mounting profiles where you would like
to mount the Cinebar 11). Use a ruler, pencil and
spirit level for this.
2. Using a metal detector, make sure that there are
no cables or pipes around the drill sites. If neces-
sary, select another area for mounting the speak-
ers.
3. Use a 8 mm rock drill to drill holes, which are ap-
prox. 45 mm deep, at the marked positions.
4. Insert 2 dowels (ø 8 mm) all the way in the drill
holes.
5. Screw one screw (5x 50 mm) into each dowel until
there is approx. 4 mm of space between the wall
and the screw head.

6. Press the Cinebar 11 up against the wall so that
the screws vanish in the holes (6). Now pull the
Cinebar 11 down so that the screws slip into the
small slot of the keyhole opening.
7. If applicable, screw the screws further in or out
until the Cinebar 11 is securely mounted on the
wall.

Connecting
This connection example only shows a few
connection options. Often you can choose
between several connection variants for a
device. Please read the user manual of the respec-
tive device in this regard.

• If you have connected all of the devices, connect
the Cinebar 11 as well using the supplied mains
cable ⑤to the mains and insert the subwoofer’s
mains plug in the socket. Make sure that the
sockets are easily accessible.
• Not all television sets reliably support the forward-
ing of multichannel audio formats (Dolby, DTS).
Therefore, we recommend connecting the Blu-ray
player directly to the Cinebar 11 with a HDMI ca-
ble to consistently achieve the very best sound.
• If you have connected and switched on the de-
vices as in this example, you must configure the
Cinebar 11 as follows:

Remote Control
Inserting/changing the battery
You should change the battery if the remote control
stops working properly or after 2 years at the latest.
Battery type: AAA.
To change the battery, remove the battery compart-
ment cover from the remote control, change the
batteries and then push the lid back into place.
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Danger of chemical burns!

Activating and deactivating
Cinebar 11
• Switch your Cinebar 11 on or to standby with the
button (4) or (16).
• If the Cinebar 11 does not receive any signal for
more than 20 minutes, it will automatically switch
to standby. All control LEDs will then be switched
off.
Subwoofer
• The subwoofer will switch on when it is connected
to the mains.
• The subwoofer will automatically switch to
standby if it doesn’t receive a signal for a certain
amount of time. It will turn back on once a signal
is received.
• You can switch it manually to standby and back on
using the POWER/STANDBY button (12).
• When activated, the LED POWER (13) is illuminat-
ed.
Connecting the subwoofer and
Cinebar 11
After you have switched your Cinebar CB 11 SB
on and connected the subwoofer CB 11 SW to the
mains, the subwoofer will search for a Cinebar that
has already been connected. During this phase, the
LED PAIRING STATUS (14) will blink slowly.
The Cinebar and subwoofer should have paired with
one another after a short time. The LED PAIRING
STATUS (14) will then be illuminated permanently.
If the devices do not connect with each other auto-
matically, please proceed as follows:
1. Hold down the PAIRING button (11) until the LED
PAIRING STATUS (14) blinks quickly.
2. Access the menu using the MENU button (21).
3. Using the button, select the menu item WS and
confirm with the OK button (32).
4. Then, confirm the items LINK and START as well.
The display will show the blinking SEARCH indicator
now.
OK will appear on the display after a few seconds.
The connection has now been established.
5. Press the MENU button (21) again to finish the
operation.

Selecting a source
See also table 1 on page 11.
• Push the Source button (2) until the connector
jack of the desired source appears on the display.
• You can select sources directly using the buttons
(24) – (29) on the remote control.
The respective setting will appear on the display.
Bluetooth®
You can connect compatible devices, such as most
smartphones, with your Cinebar 11 via Bluetooth®.
The audio output of your smartphone is then played
back by the Cinebar 11.
1. Use the BLUETOOTH button (28) to select BT AU as
the source.
2. Activate the Bluetooth function on your source
device (e.g. smartphone).
3. Push the BT PAIRING button (26).
4. Let your smartphone scan for Bluetooth devices.
You will find more information about this in the
user manual of your source device.
After the search run, the “Cinebar 11” should also
be present in the list of detected devices.
5. Select Cinebar 11 from the list of detected devices.
It will now function similar to Bluetooth head-
phones and will play back all sounds that would
otherwise be played back by your source device.
If your source device is a smartphone, the Blue-
tooth connection will be interrupted in the event
of an incoming call and you can make phone calls
as usual.
After finishing your phone call, the sounds will
once again be diverted and played back by your
Cinebar 11.
6. Push the BT PAIRING button (26) to terminate the
Bluetooth connection.
Alternatively you can switch off the Bluetooth
function on your source device.
NFC (Near Field Communication)
NFC is a transmission standard for the wireless
exchange of data over short distances. You can use
this function to establish a Bluetooth connection
very quickly and conveniently.
1. Make sure that the NFC function on your smart-
phone is enabled (Bluetooth® does not have to
be turned on).
2. Place your smartphone close to the NFC sym-
bol on the left next to the control panel of the
Cinebar 11.
After a short time, you will be asked to approve
the data connection. Confirm the request on your
smartphone.
The connection has now been established.

Menu and Settings
The menu
• You can use the menu to change settings on your
Cinebar 11.
• Access the menu using the MENU button (21).
The first menu item AUTO will appear on the dis-
play.
• The menu is structured as follows:

Care And Cleaning
Clean your Cinebar 11 regularly with a soft, damp
microfibre cloth. Please be absolutely sure to ob-
serve the following notes in the process:
Risk of electrical shock!
In contact with live parts, water can lead
to electric shock or short circuit.
• Make sure that no liquids penetrate the devices.
• Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning.
Risk of damage!
Using the wrong cleaning agents may
damage the delicate surface of the case.
• If possible, only use plain water without any ad-
ditives. In case of stubborn marks, a mild soap
solution may be used.
• In no circumstances should caustic cleaning
products, white spirit, thinners, petrol or similar
be used for cleaning.
The menu items
• AUDIO/TREBLE/BASS
Raise and lower the bass or treble.
Default setting: TREBLE=0,BASS=0
• HDMI
– C HDMI
ON: Cinebar 11 automatically switches to HDMI
source if there is a signal here (e.g. when the
television is switched on).
OFF: No automatic switching.
• SET BT
– BT STBY
ON: Device switches on out of standby if a
Bluetooth connection is established by a paired
device.
OFF: Device does not switch on.
• SYSTEM
– A STBY
ON: Device switches to standby if there is no
signal for approx. 20 minutes.
OFF: Device does not switch to standby auto-
matically.
– DRC (Dynamic Range Compensation)
ON: Speech is played back at a higher volume,
loud noises (gunshots, explosions) are quieter.
OFF: No sound adjustment.
– VERSION
Firmware version is displayed.
• WS/LINK/SEARCH
– Establish wireless connection between
Cinebar 11 and subwoofer (see also page 12).

Troubleshooting
The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this does not help, you will find useful information
in the detailed FAQs on our website. Otherwise, please contact our hotline (see page 3). Take note of the
warranty instructions.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The device doesn’t emit
any sound.
The wrong source has been selected. Select the right source
(see page 13).
The device is set to “mute”. Push the button or adjust the volume.
The volume is set to “0”. Increase the volume.
The sound is not ideal. The settings are incorrect. Correct the settings for bass and treble as
described on page 14.
The subwoofer isn’t
working.
The subwoofer is off or doesn’t have
any power.
Switch on the subwoofer with the STAND-
BY button (13). Check the mains cable
and socket.
There is no connection to the
Cinebar 11.
Establish a connection (see page 12).
The subwoofer hums. The subwoofer is connected to a differ-
ent power circuit from the Cinebar.
Connect the subwoofer and the Cinebar
to the same power circuit.
The hum is due to line disturbance. Buy a mains filter and connect both de-
vices to it.
The humming is caused by a multiple
socket strip.
Use a different multiple socket strip or
connect the subwoofer directly to the
wall socket. It may also help to insert the
mains plug in the socket the other way
around.
The subwoofer is not
connecting to the
Cinebar 11.
There is interference with the connec-
tion, possibly from Wi-Fi etc.
Place the subwoofer and Cinebar closer
to each other.
Playback is noisy. Generally speaking, the Cinebar 11 is
a very low-noise system. The speaker
system with very high resolution in the
high range area can expose the poor
quality of a signal source (e.g. from
MP3 files).
Ensure that the source is sending a clear
signal to the Cinebar 11.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do
not belong in the household garbage!
Every consumer is required by law to bring
all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless
whether they contain harmful substances*) or not,
to a collection point run by the communal authority
or borough or to a retailer, so that they can be dis-
posed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Please only turn in batteries and rechargeable bat-
teries which are empty!
*) labelled with: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead
Disposal of the unit
Old devices must not be disposed of with
household waste!
If the device is no longer operational, every
consumer is required by law to dispose of
old devices separately from household waste, e.g.
at a collection point run by the communal authority/
borough. This ensures that old devices are recycled
in a professional manner and also rules out negative
consequences for the environment.
For this reason, electrical equipment is labelled with
the adjacent symbol.
