Safety Precautions
When choosing a ramp, the length, and therefore
the angle of the ramp depend upon:
•The height to be raised
•The type of wheelchair or scooter
•The weight of the wheelchair or scooter
and the user
•The strength of the helper or user.
As a general guide, a minimum gradient of 1 in 6
is suggested, although1 in 8 is recommended,
when the user is seated on the wheelchair or
scooter.
For loading an unmanned wheelchair or scooter
into a vehicle, a higher gradient can be used, but
this should not exceed 1 in 3.3 In addition to this, it
is important that you refer to your vehicle’s user
guide for the proper degree of incline/decline and
direction before using the ramp.
- Never exceed its recommendations.

read and implemented. Failure to do so
may result in injury to the user. Retain in a
safe place for future reference.
Intended Use
This Telescopic Channel Ramp, TRP207 is
designed to provide access for manual
wheelchair users* (and their carers, if
appropriate) over thresholds, steps and
curbs. The two part telescopic design is
easily adjusted toprovide the desired length.

Unpacking
•No tools are required to assemble this
product. (However if the ramp is to be
secured to the landing surface, then
appropriate tools will be required)
•Remove items from packaging; Checkfor
damage. If you see any, or suspect a
fault, do not assemble or use the product;
contact your supplier immediately.

Instructions for installation and use
1. Remove all parts from the packaging and
check the ramps are free fromdamage.
2. Press the button and pull out the telescopic
part until clicks into place, to extend the
ramp, hold it horizontally or lay it on the
floor. Note: If the latch is released (or is not
engaged) when the ramp is not horizontal,
the inner section may slide out under its
own weight. At full extension, the latch will
engage to prevent the inner ramp sliding
out totally
4. Position the ramps at the required distance
apart. The front and rear wheels of the
vehicle should be able to run up the ramp
freely.
3. Place the ramp on the landing surface
ensuring that the top lip is resting securely
on the landing surface.
5. Ensure the top lip is secure before using the

6. After use, press the button and slide the
sections back together until the latch
engages. When locked, the ramps can
be carried safely.
7. Do not exceed the maximumload.
ImportantNote:
To prevent the ramp from becoming dislodged
during use, ensure the top lip overlaps the landing
surface as far as possible.
The surface holding the top lip needs to be
substantial; make sure that the surface and
supporting structure is of sound construction.

Care and Maintenance
•Inspect ramp regularly for signs of wear or
damage.
•Do not use if the ramp is damaged.
•Clean regularly, wipe over with a solution
of mild detergent and water. Remove any
grit that may have become caught
between the sections.
Warranty
The Ramp People warrants that the ramp is
free from defects in material and
workmanship.
This warranty shall remain in effect for 1 year
from the date of original consumer purchase.
The warranty does not cover failure of the unit
during the warranty period if the failure is not
caused by defect in material or workmanship or if
the failure is caused by unreasonableuse.
The Ramp People are not liable for incidental
or consequential injury or damage to property.
Should it be necessary to return the ramp, it is
essential it is adequately packed to protect it in
transit, preferably in its original box; otherwise
The Ramp People accept any responsibility for
transit damage to the unit.
In some cases, the items will be supplied by 3rd
party seller, please keep the original invoice.
This does not affect your statutoryrights.
