●This document is intended to provide guidance for the proper uncrating of
Zero-Gravity oor unit and is used to train personnel.
● It is essential that all personnel removing equipment from the crate read this
document, in its entirety, with special consideration to keywords and symbols.
●Particularly helpful information is italicized.
●Personnel removing equipment from the crate should refer to TIDI Products
document 82000 (Uncrating Instructions).
●Installers should refer to TIDI Products document 83000 (Installation Guide).

Zero-Gravity Floor Unit (ZGM-6-5H)
Features: Mobile unit with heavy base with casters and locks, variable-height mast, 48”
pivoting boom.

CAUTION! HEAVY EQUIPMENT
• A second person is required for lifting and handling.
• Use caution when unpacking and handling the Zero-Gravity
System.
CAUTION! HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Crate includes heavy interior ramp, which must be lowered to the
ground by two people. The body shield assembly weighs ~ 54
pounds (24.5 kilograms) and must also be removed and handled
by two people. Use care when handling the base. The base
weighs ~ 660 pounds (300 kilograms) and is not intended to be
lifted.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the crate lid. The crate lid weighs ~ 50
pounds (23 kilograms).
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the Crate Lid. The Crate Lid weighs ~ 90
pounds (41 kilograms). Two people are required for handling.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the crate side panel. The side panel
weighs ~ 65 pounds (30 kilograms). Two people are required for
handling.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the Boom Arm assembly. The Boom Arm
assembly weighs ~ 40 pounds (18 kilograms) for the ZGM-6-5H,
ZGHSA, ZGCM-HSA and ZGCM-48, and the ZGCM-66 weighs ~
50 pounds (23 kilograms). Two people are required for handling.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the drop tube. The drop tube weighs
~ 140 pounds (63.5 kilograms). Two people are required for
handling.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the Rail Assembly. The Rail Assembly
weighs ~ 150 pounds (68.0 kilograms) and must be handled by
two people.
CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the Support Plate. The Support Plate

assembly weighs ~ 54 pounds (24.5 kilograms) and must be
handled by two people.

WARNING! RADIATION HAZARD
The body shield must be handled with care so that it is not
damaged due to contact with other objects. If the body shield is
damaged, it must be rechecked according to the Maintenance
section of the User’s Guide (TIDI Products document 84000)
CAUTION! PINCH POINT HAZARD
Never push or pull a Zero-Gravity oor unit by placing hands on
the large D-shape base. The casters may swivel and pinch hands
or ngers.
ATTENTION! DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE BODY SHIELD IS ALLOWED TO
DRAG ACROSS THE SIDE OF THE CRATE.

Verify Components
Follow the steps below to verify the system is not damaged and is
ready for installation.
1. Inspect each component of the system following the uncrating instructions.
2. Make sure all items on the packing list are included.
3. Inspect all components to make sure no damage occurred during shipping.
4. If system arrives with damaged or missing components, do not operate the
system until the components are replaced. Failure to do so could result in injury
to personnel, patient, or damage to property and or equipment.

Uncrating the System – Floor Unit (ZGM-6-5H)
CAUTION! HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Crate includes heavy interior ramp which must be lowered to the ground
by two people. The body shield assembly weighs ~ 54 pounds (24.5
kilograms) and must also be removed and handled by two people. Use
care when handling the base. The base weighs ~ 660 pounds (300
kilograms) and is not intended to be lifted.
1. Position crate with 12 feet (3.7 meters) of oor space in front to accommodate
lowering the inner ramp (Figure 5).
2. Untwist three (3) steel clasps on left side of door.

3. With your right hand pressed rmly against the door, release the clasps,
releasing the door. The ramp is now visible (Figure 6).

4. With the door open, remove the steel bolt on the right side, releasing the ramp’s
two sections (Figure 7).

5. Lower both sections of the ramp to the oor; unfold the outer section (Figure 8).

Unpack the Contents
1. Remove and set aside the boxes from crate.
2. Remove Foam Block 1 and carefully set aside the system components
(Figure 9).
WARNING! RADIATION HAZARD
The body shield must be handled with care so that it is not damaged
due to contact with other objects. If the body shield is damaged, it must
be rechecked according to the Maintenance section of the User’s Guide
(TIDI Products document 84000).
3. Leaving the protective foam cover intact, carefully remove the body shield
assembly and place them on a clean, at surface. The protective foam cover
must remain in place until nal installation.
4. Remove the (2) shoulder shields.
5. Remove foam block 2.

CAUTION! HEAVY EQUIPMENT
Use care when handling the base. The base weighs~ 660 pounds (300
kilograms) and is not intended to be lifted.
6. Find the spring pin in Foam Block 1 from Figure 9. Place the spring pin into the
hole on the far side of the column.
7. Slightly loosen the ratchet straps. Ensure the column spring pin is not locked in
the retracted position so it will slide into place. Let the column move up slightly
till the column locking spring pin moves into position. This should occur within 1”
of upward movement. The snubber handle will need to be open to allow for the
upward movement.
8. Once the column pin is in place and holding the column remove the 2 ratchet
straps. Close the snubber handle so it clamps on the column.
9. To remove the base assembly from the wood frame, remove (2) hex head screws
and (2) eye bolts, these should be nger tight and loosen easily. Also remove the
front and back wood frame pieces (Figure 10).
10. Using a 5/16-inch hex key, Located in the Tool Box (I from Figure 1) in the Base
Assembly, lower the leveling pads until the base assembly lifts from the wood
blocks (Figure 11).
