5.1 Unpacking and pre-examination
Remove the device from the packaging bag, carefully inspect it and make sure that
there is no damage. Possible defects include the following: scratches, chips, uneven
color of plastic on the device’s case, as well as similar damage to the power supply unit
and violation of the integrity of the USB cable. If you find any defects, ask the supplier
to provide written confirmation of the damage.
If the device has been stored or transported at an air temperature below +10 °C, let it
stay in the packaging bag in the room for 2 hours to warm it to the room temperature.
It is required for eliminating condensation, damage of plastic parts while assembling
and malfunction of the device.
5.2 Installation
The device is designed for indoor use only. When choosing place of installation, make
sure that all the safety requirements specified in section 3 of this User Manual are met.
The device can be located on any horizontal surface or on a wall. Eyelet designed for
hanging on the bottom side is used for this purpose.
Base station should be protected from exposure to liquids, steam or other abundant
moisture. Do not place the device in bathrooms or sanitary rooms. Do not use the
device in the immediate vicinity of a cooking place or humidifier.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, or stoves. Do not
place the base station near radiators of household appliances (for example, acoustic
devices, refrigerators, etc.).
Place USB-cable so that it does not twist, jam or bend excessively. Do not leave it in
places accessible for children or pets.
5.3 Set up
To ensure operation of Smart Microclimate Control System MagicAir, you should first
connect the base station on MagicAir mobile application.
The application is developed for mobile devices based on iOS (10.0 and later) and
Android (4.4 and later) operating systems. For installation, it is necessary to have
smartphone, which ensures access to the Internet. The application is available free at

Connection to one base station results in creation of one home. This is a virtual
space where you plan to place climatic devices and collect microclimate data. Home
combines the neighboring rooms (rooms) in which the devices are located.
A maximum of 32 devices can be connected to one base station.
No more than 8 devices can be controlled by BLE technology. You
can add up to 12 rooms in one home. You can create a maximum of
20 homes on one account.

6. ARRANGEMENT AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
6.1 Arrangement
Base station is a solid block (Fig. 6.1, p. 1), which contains the following:
• sensors (temperature, humidity, concentration of carbon dioxide);
• microprocessor;
• Wi-Fi module;
• block of BLE-module and RF channel for connection with climatic devices;
• light indicating system.
The light indication (Fig. 6.1, p. 2) helps to evaluate the state of connection to the
MagicAir system and the level of CO2concentration in the room.
The brightness of the light indication is automatically adjusted
depending on the illumination of the room. In the daytime, the
brightness level is maximum, and at night it is minimal. You can
turn off the light indication only in the MagicAir application in the
settings of the base station.
The device is equipped with a built-in power cable (Fig. 6.1, p. 3) with a standard USB-A
output. Power supply unit (Fig. 6.1, p. 4), which is included in the delivery package, is
used to connect the base station to a power supply network of 230 V, 50 Hz.

Necessary information for setup and diagnostics is located on the bottom side of the
base station. Wi-Fi data, Wi-Fi MAC and MAC address of the base station are presented
in the lower left corner (Fig. 6.2, p. 1). Wi-Fi data may be required when connecting the
device to MagicAir system. Wi-Fi MAC is for setting-up on the local network and the
MAC address is for remote diagnostics, carried out by service division.
When contacting an authorized service center or service organization
of the seller, please be ready to tell serial number of the device. It is
located on the bottom side of the base station (Fig. 6.2, p. 2).
“Mode” button (Fig. 6.2, p. 4) is used to activate the base station when connecting to
the MagicAir system, to replace one device with another, or to update Wi-Fi settings via
MagicAir application. Press “Reset” button to return to default settings (Fig. 6.2, p. 3).
6.2 Operating principle
The base station is the center of the Smart Microclimate Control System MagicAir,
to which other devices are connected within accessible radius (Fig. 6.3). It measures
the concentration of CO2, temperature and humidity in the room by means of sensors.
Then the data are transferred to cloud server, where information about the state of the
microclimate in the room and controlled devices is processed and stored.
The devices (breezer, air purifier, infrared module and conditioner
etc.) can be controlled via the MagicAir system after they are
connected to the base station.
Using MagicAir mobile application you can monitor and control microclimate anytime
from anywhere in the world via the Internet.

11
MagicAir Base Station
The base station can run under fixed user settings and automatic control mode. This
mode allows it to control ventilation devices (breezers) depending on the concentration
of CO2in the room. So comfortable microclimate based on your settings is constantly
maintained in the house.
Figure 6.3 — Smart Microclimate Control System MagicAir
Automatic calibration of CO2sensor
Every 1-2 weeks4sensor detects the lowest level of CO2over the past period. It
determines this level as the baseline and assigns a concentration of 400 ppm, which is
the equivalent of fresh air in the street. To obtain the correct CO2data, it is necessary
to ventilate the room at least once during the period.
This function allows you to adjust the CO2level after transportation, as well as during
long-term operation of the base station.
4The range of period varies depending on type of built-in sensor and batch of devices.
