T is andbook explains t e functions and operating
procedures of stations for TOA's EXES-6000 Intercom
System using central processing unit CP-64 (for single
exc ange or tie-line system) and exc anges EX-630.
Designed for connection of up to 3 exc anges, t e EXES-
6000 system permits you to talk wit t e person in t e
remote area, and also to increase t e number of stations
w ic one (1) exc ange cannot cover.
Th s handbook s compr sed of the follow ng 3 chapters:
Chapter 1. Bas c funct ons, the r operat ng procedures
and all funct ons.
Chapter 2. Funct ons and operat ng procedures of s ngle
exchange system (a max mum of 256
stat ons).
Chapter 3. Funct ons and operat ng procedures of t e-
l ne system (a max mum of 768 stat ons).
Refer to Chapters 1 and 2 for s ngle exchange system
and to Chapters 1 and 3 for t e-l ne system.
Please note t at performances of some functions are
restricted in t e tie-line system.
You need not read all t e instructions given in t is and-
book but it is necessary to read t e instructions on t ose
functions employed in your system. T e following guide-
lines will elp you select t e pages t at you s ould read.

Pr vacy Sw tch n the "ON" pos t on
T e EXES-6000 System is designed to allow eit er "PV"
typ operation (T e system aving Privacy function) or
"NP" type (Wit out Privacy function) to be selected by
turning on or off a switc inside t e exc ange. It is impos-
sible to make one station t e "NP" type and anot er t e
"PV" type in t e same system.
T e function provided w en t e Privacy switc is in t e ON
position is different between t e "PV" and t e "NP" type.
T erefore, read t e page marked if your system
is of t e "PV" type and t e Page if it is of t e
"NP" type.

ously depressing t e key to make a voice call
t roug t e station speaker of t e called party.
6. During ands-free conversation, w en t e person you
are talking to is in a ig noise level area,
(1 ) Pick up t e andset to talk or (2) depress t e
key continuously for one-way conversation
to t at party. As long as t e key is depres-
sed, your voice as dominance, and releasing t e
key will reverse t e one-way conversation
from t at party to you.
7. To terminate t e conversation, ang up t e andset
or depress t e key.

< Making a call >
1. Place t e auto-dialer registration (REGISTER)
switc in t e OFF position.
2. A maximum of 16 single digit dialing numbers includ-
ing station numbers, personal numbers and paging
zone number may be programmed into t e built-in
auto-dialer.
(16 registrations are possible wit 8 keys by c anging
over t e Page selector switc )
You can not only call any station by touc dialing
t e station selector key but also you can make a call
to up to 16 specific, pre-registered stations by depres-
sing t e station selector key or by single digit dialing
t e auto-dialer key of t is station.
Expansion of anot er 24 auto-dialer keys is possible
by connecting the AK-024 auto-dialer key unit to t e
HF-660M.
