USER MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing an
XXL Rollator from DIETZ.
The XXL Rollator is robust, light, and
foldable. It provides ideal support during
all your daily ventures as well a seat to rest
on just when you need it.
Before using the rollator for the rst time
please read this manual carefully and make
sure you are familiar with all features of
the product.
This user manual is included in the scope
of delivery. The user should keep this man-
ual on hand at all times and it must remain
with the product if the product is passed
on to a third party.
We reserve the right to make changes to the
versions shown in this manual as a result of
technical further development.
This user manual is not subject to an updating
service. Please contact us to nd out if there is
a newer version.
This document may only be reprinted, translat-
ed and/or duplicated in any form whatsoever,
whether in part or in full, with the manufactur-

01 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
INTENDED PURPOSE
The XXL Rollator is designed for persons with
restricted mobility with a maximum body
weight of 200 kg for use as a walking aid and,
to a limited extent, as a seating device for tem-
porary rest.
The wire basket suspended underneath the seat
is designed for storing and transporting objects
or goods.
The XXL Rollator is designed for use both do-
mestically as well as in hospitals and is de-
signed exclusively for use on solid and level
surfaces.
The intended use may differ for products which
were manufactured as custom-made device
and which have been labelled as such. In this
case, please refer to the documentation sup-
plied with the product.
INDICATION
The use of the XXL Rollator is indicated for:
c Restricted mobility due to a restriction of
the active or passive musculoskeletal
system
c Coordination problems when walking
c Reduced load-bearing capacity
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of the XXL Rollator is not indicated for
c Perception disorders
c Severe disequilibrium
c User weights exceeding 200 kg
The rollator is not suitable for children.
The XXL Rollator must not be used as a climbing
aid, transport aid for large loads/persons or for
similar purposes.
SIGNS AND SYMBOLS
Different symbols are used in this manual to
give you warnings about potential dangers and
help-ful advice for the daily use of your rollator.
WARNING
It is mandatory to observe and comply with
the warnings!
They inform you of circumstances that could
result in injury and/or damage to the rollator
or surroundings if the warnings are not ob-
served.
NOTE
Tips and advice to simplify using the func-
tions.

02 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SCOPE OF DELIVERY
The scope of delivery of the XXL Rollator in-
cludes the following components and accesso-
ries:
c XXL Rollator
c User manual
c Basket
c Backrest
The XXL Rollator is delivered in a fully assembled
state. Upon receiving it, please immediately check
to make sure that the contents are complete
and undamaged. If the contents are noticeably
damaged, inform the freight company immedi-
ately.

03 SETTING UP THE ROLLATOR
SETTING UP THE ROLLATOR
The XXL Rollator is fully assembled at the fac-
tory. The following chapters describe how to set
up the rollator, adjust it to suit your require-
ments and enable you to use it comfortably.
SETTING UP / UNFOLDING THE
ROLLATOR
1. Position the rollator in front of yourself
facing the direction of travel and engage
the parking brakes by pushing the brake
handles downwards. (See section entitled
"Braking")
2. Hold onto the rollator by the handle with
one hand.
3. With your other hand, push down on the
seat until it perceptibly locks into place.
4. Hang the basket on the frame from the
front by the hooks. (See "Layout of the
XXL Rollator")
WARNING
Only use the rollator after the seat surface has
audibly snapped into place. When the seat sur-
face snaps into place, it locks the rollator in an
unfolded state.
WARNING
When unfolding/folding the rollator, take care
not to trap your hands, ngers, and clothing in
the mechanism! Risk of crushing!
ADJUSTING THE HANDLE HEIGHT
1. Engage the parking brake. (See section en-
titled "Braking")
2. Loosen the star knob nut, then unscrew
and remove the screw completely.
3. Adjust the grip handles to the height de-
sired.
4. Now replace the screw and firmly screw it
in place using the star knob nut.

04 SETTING UP THE ROLLATOR
WARNING
Ensure that the screws are completely inserted
into the drill hole and rmly locked in place.
NOTE
In order to use XXL Rollator correctly, it must be
adjusted to your individual size. This adjustment
should be performed by a trained person.
FIXING BACKREST IN PLACE
1. First, pull the locking pins with a slight ro-
tation upwards in order to release the
locking mechanism.
2. Now insert the ends of the backrest into
the holders.
3. Now let the locking pins snap back into
place, such that the backrest is firmly held
in position.
4. To remove it, carry out the steps in reverse
order.
WARNING
Before each use of the rollator, check that the
backrest is rmly locked in place.

sloping paths and do not use paths that
are excessively steep.
c It is inadvisable to walk backwards using
the rollator.
BRAKING
The brakes of the XXL Rollator can be used in
two ways:
c As a service brake for controlled braking
while walking
c As a parking brake for locking the rear
wheels in place and preventing the
rollator from rolling away
1. To brake the rollator while walking, pull
both brake levers evenly and gently
upwards A.
2. To lock the brakes, push both brake levers
downwards until they snap in place B.
3. To release the parking brake, pull the
brake levers back up A.

Familiarise yourself thoroughly with your XXL
Rollator before using it for the rst time so that
you feel safe and condent handling it. It is ad-
visable to be accompanied by a second person
when doing so.
Check that the rollator has been correctly as-
sembled before using it:
c Are all attached parts firmly fixed in
place?
c Have all screws been firmly tightened?
c Do the brakes work?
c Does the rollator rest on all four wheels?
c Has the seat surface fully snapped into
place?
WALKING WITH YOUR ROLLATOR
Position yourself inside the rollator. Grab the
handgrips with both hands. As soon as you are
safely stood up, you can loosen both parking
brakes. You can now start walking.
WARNING
The following points are relevant to safety!
c Do not push the rollator too far in front
of you. In order to give good support,
the rollator should be kept close to your
body.
c Control your speed if necessary by gently
applying both brakes evenly. (See next
section)
c Walk upright and look forwards to be
able to identify and avoid any upcoming

WARNING
If problems occur when adjusting the brakes,
please contact an authorised specialist retailer!
This is the only way of ensuring the safe use of
the rollator.
USING THE SEAT / BACKREST
The backrest helps you nd the right position
on the cushioned seat surface.
1. Before taking a seat, lock both parking
brakes.
2. When the rollator is securely in place, you
can turn around and sit down slowly on
the rollator's seat.
WARNING
Before each use of the rollator, check that the
backrest is rmly locked in place.
WARNING
Make sure that the brakes are locked before you
sit down, and be aware that leaning against the
backstrap will reduce the static stability.
WARNING
The seat is only designed to be used for short
periods, i.e. when taking a short break when
walking. For longer breaks, use conventional
seating!
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
Check that the brakes are correctly adjusted as
follows:
1. The brake lever and the Bowden cable
must not be loose (they must not have
any play).
2. When you release the brake lever, the
wheels must turn without making any
scraping noises.
3. If necessary, the braking effect can be
adjusted using the adjusting screw of the
Bowden cable on the brake handles Aor
on the brake pads of the rear wheels B.

WARNING
Never fully unscrew the adjusting screws, other-
wise the brake will no longer work.

FOLDING UP YOUR ROLLATOR
To save space for storage, the XXL Rollator can
be folded up.
1. Remove the basket from the frame.
2. Position the rollator in front of yourself
facing the direction of travel and engage
the parking brakes.
3. Hold onto the rollator by the handle with
one hand.
4. With your other hand, release the seat
from its position by giving it a sudden
upward push.
5. Now pull the rollator as far as it will go
towards you until it folds up.
For storing the rollator, you can remove the
backrest and the push handles.
WARNING
When unfolding/folding the rollator, take care
not to trap your hands, ngers, and clothing in
the mechanism! Risk of crushing!
ATTACHING AND USING ACCESSORIES
The standard version of the XXL Rollator is t-
ted with a shopping basket and backrest.
Optional additional accessories can be pur-
chased (see chapter “Optional accessories“).
Only original accessories from DIETZ are to be
used. Only then the conformity and the safety
of the product is guaranteed.
BASKET (INCLUDED IN STANDARD
VERSION)
The basket is approved for transporting objects
up to a maximum weight of 3 kg. Please refer
to the image "Layout of the XXL Rollator".
1. To hook the basket into place, stand in
front of the rollator.
2. Using the hooks, hook the basket from
the front into the horizontal connecting
rod of the frame below the seat surface.
3. If you wish to unhook the basket, lift the
basket such that the hooks are clear of
the rod of the frame.
4. You can use the carrying handle of the
basket to carry it.
ONE HAND BRAKE SYSTEM (OPTIONAL)
If one of your hands does not have enough
strength to safely apply the brake, the XXL Rol-
lator can be equipped with a single hand brake.
This will need to be attached to the rollator by
an authorised specialist retailer.

05 ACCESSORIES / 06 ADD-ONS
c Your rollator must only be fitted with a
one-hand brake if the hand with which
the brake will be operated is sufficiently
strong to guarantee safe handling.
c The same usage and maintenance
instructions apply as for the version with
brakes on both handlebars.
UMBRELLA (OPTIONAL)
Your XXL Rollator can be equipped with an um-
brella, which can also be used as a sunshade.
The installation of this optional accessory is
described in a separate user manual supplied
with the accessory. Have the umbrella tted by
an authorised specialist retailer, who will hand
over the user manual to you.
WARNING
Fitting an umbrella may negatively affect the
static stability of your rollator!
WARNING
Please observe all usage and safety instructions
stated in the separate user manual for the um-
brella!
ADD-ONS & ACCESSORIES OF
THIRD-PARTYS
In general, only original accessories from DIETZ
GmbH may be used. If third-party products are
installed on the rollator, responsibility for the
safety of the product passes to the person who
installs the accessories or carries out the instal-
lation. The conformity of the combination of ac-
cessories or add-ons and product is then new
to be explained by the person who attaches it.
The conformity declared by DIETZ according to
MDR 2017/745, Annex II expires.
WARNING
The safety of the product cannot be guaranteed
if add-ons or accessories are used that are not
sold by DIETZ.
WARNING
If accessories or add-ons are combined with the
rollator, then the safety instructions in the user
manual for the accessories or add-on must be
observed.

06 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
If the intended use as described in these oper-
ating instructions is complied with, the use of
the XXL Rollator does not pose any hazard.
WARNING
Follow all safety instructions, otherwise there
may be a risk of injury!
c The rollator may only be used on firm,
level ground.
c Use the service brake on sloping paths
(pull the brake lever upwards).
c The rollator must stand securely upright
on all four wheels!
c Before each use of the rollator, check
that all attached parts are properly
fastened, that the brakes are working
and that the folding mechanism is
locked.
c Always lock both of the brakes before
sitting down on the rollator’s seat.
c The rollator’s seat is only designed to be
used for short periods, such as when
taking a break when walking!
c Caution: shifting your body weight while
sitting on the rollator can make it more
prone to tipping over! Always make sure
to load the rollator evenly!
c Do not hang any bags on the handles or
other parts of the rollator, as this will
increase the risk of it tipping over!
c Take care not to trap your hands, fingers
or clothing when operating the folding
lock and when unfolding/folding the
rollator! Risk of crushing!
c Never exceed the maximum combined
load of 200 kg for users, incl. additional
loads and add-ons!
c Avoid exposing the rollator to direct
sunlight/low temperatures for long
periods of time as parts of the product
(e.g. frames, cushioning, or handlegrips)
may become very hot (> 41°C) or very
cold (<0°C), and this may cause skin
injuries.
c Do not park the rollator immediately
adjacent to or block emergency exits and
escape routes.
c Do not use the rollator under the
influence of alcohol or other substances
that may negatively affect your alertness
and reactions.
c Only ever use the rollator in accordance
with its intended use! When using the
rollator, never approach obstacles such
as steps or curbs without applying the
brakes.
c The rollator must not be left for children
to play with and must not be subjected
to improper use!
c When sitting on the rollator, you must
not walk with your feet or be pushed by
other persons! This is an injury risk and
may cause damage to the product!
c Observe the road traffic regulations on
public road traffic.
c Wherever possible, wear light, eye-catch-
ing clothing. This will make it easier for
you to be seen by other road users.
c Never use the rollator as a seat in a
vehicle or on public transport. This poses
an increased risk of falling!

06 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
c Never use escalators when on the
Rollator, as this causes an increased risk
of falling and injury!
c Stairs must only be negotiated with the
help of accompanying persons if no
elevators or ramps are present.
c The wheel bearings can be damaged by
sand, seawater and road salt. Clean the
rollator thoroughly if it has been exposed
to conditions such as these.
c Always cross rail tracks and similar
obstacles at a right angle (90°) if they
cannot be avoided.
c The rollator must not be used to
transport heavy loads. Items must only
be transported using the basket as
described in the “Accessories” section.
c Serious incidents that occur in relation to
the rollator must be reported to the
manufacturer and the responsible
authorities!
c If you notice any limitations in the
functioning of your rollator, please take
it to your authorised specialist retailer
for repair immediately.
c If stored for over one year, all mandatory
inspections stipulated in the mainte-
nance plan must be performed before
putting the rollator back into service.
c If your product is a custom-made device
(see section entitled "Product label-
ling"), attention must be paid not only
to the latest operating instructions, but
also the additional documentation
including all safety instructions.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE FOR XXL ROLLATOR
What to check Description

If the brake handles are pushed down/locked
(parking brake) or the brake handles are actuated
(service brake), the rear wheels must not turn.
The brakes must be recongured after replacing the Bowden
cables or rear wheels. This must only be performed by the
authorised specialist retailer.

SERVICING / MAINTENANCE
We recommend performing the inspections as listed in the maintenance schedule at regular inter-
vals to ensure that the rollator is always safe to use.
Defective or neglected care and maintenance of the rollator limits liability. The maintenance sched-
ule does not provide any information on the amount of work that will actually need to be performed
on the rollator.
NOTE
As the user, you will be the rst to notice possi-
ble damage. If you notice a fault as described in
the maintenance schedule or any other defects
and functional impairments, contact an autho-
rised specialist dealer immediately.
NOTE
The inspections and measures stipulated in the
maintenance schedule must be performed by
the user or assistant, unless otherwise stated.
WARNING
Repairs on the rollator must only be performed
by specialist shops using DIETZ original spare
parts to maintain the operational safety of the
rollator. The relevant spare parts list can be
found on our website.
NOTE FOR SPECIALIST DEALERS
If the user reports any abnormalities on the
rollator, check all the inspection points listed
in the maintenance schedule. The checks must
also be performed before putting the rollator
back into operation and after longer storage
periods (> 4 months).

Repeated loosening and re-tightening causes self-locking nuts
and screws to lose their effectiveness. These must therefore be
replaced by an authorised specialist retailer if they become loose.

CLEANING
c Clean the rollator by regularly wiping the
frame parts with a damp cloth. If the
rollator is very dirty, you can use a mild
detergent and warm water.
c The seat cushioning can be cleaned
using mild soapy water and a sponge.
c Use a damp brush with plastic bristles to
clean the wheels.
c Remove dirt and fluff from the wheel
hubs.
c Only ever use standard mild cleaning and
disinfection products to clean the
rollator. Detailed information on disinfec-
tion can be found in the following
section.
WARNING
Do not use high-pressure cleaners, strong, cor-
rosive chemicals or scouring agents for cleaning
purposes.
WARNING
After cleaning, ensure that all materials are ful-
ly dry in order to preserve their quality.
DISINFECTION
When manually reconditioning a used aid for
reuse, all of the aid’s components must be thor-
oughly treated/wiped with a disinfectant. Take
particular care to disinfect surfaces that come
into frequent contact with hands/skin, such as
handles.
WARNING
During disinfection, observe the use and appli-
cation instructions issued by the cleaning agent/
disinfectant manufacturer.
Please only use the following disinfectants; use
of other chemicals might damage the rollator.
c Alcohol-based and aldehyde-free
disinfectants (max. 70 % propyl alcohol)
c Aldehyde-based disinfectants
HANDING OVER AND REUSE
Your product is suitable to be passed on to oth-
er parties / for reuse, unless it is labelled as a
custom made device.
The number of times the rollator can be reused
depends on the material wear conditions and
the functional capabilities of the respective
product.
If the rollator is passed on to a new user or
specialist dealer for reuse, please remember to
hand over all technical documents that are nec-
essary for safe usage.
Before being reused, the rollator must be
cleaned, disinfected, checked for damage and
approved by a specialist dealer for continued
use.
To do so, please check all the inspection points
listed in the maintenance schedule on the rol-
lator.

The type plate as well as any other existing la-
bels must always remain fully legible.
Please have any illegible or missing signs/stick-
ers replaced by your specialist retailer immedi-
ately. This includes any reective stickers.
For the XXL Rollator, the type plate is located
on the horizontal connecting rod of the rear
frame section.
The following section explains the symbols and
information on the type plate in detail. (The
type plate shown here is only an example.) The
type plate also contains the serial number of
your rollator.

STORAGE
To store the rollator, ensure that it is stored in a
dry place protected against strong sunlight
and at a temperature of 0°C to +45°C. Do not
activate the parking brakes, and secure the rol-
lator against rolling away unintentionally.
After longer periods of storage (> 4 months),
please check all the inspection points on the rol-
lator which are listed in the maintenance sched-
ule before reusing/redeploying it.
WARNING
Do not store the rollator near a heat source or
leave objects on it during storage.
DISPOSAL
If you no longer need the rollator, please con-
tact your specialist dealer. They will then pick
up the rollator and either dispose it properly or
make further use of it. If this is not possible,
please take the rollator to your local recycling
facility.

suitable care products, lubricating oils or greas-

LIFETIME
The expected product service life is ve years
when used daily and if used as intended. This
