Thank you for purchasing a Redondo
shower stool from DIETZ.
Please read these operating instructions carefully before rst using
the shower stool. They contain important safety instructions and
valuable tips on correctly using and caring for the shower stool. If you
have any questions or require additional information, please contact
the specialist retailer which supplied the shower stool to you.
These operating instructions contain all of the instructions necessary
for adjusting and operating the Redondo shower stool.

GENERAL NOTES
These instructions for use are part of the scope
of delivery.They must be kept in a safe place by
the user and remain with the product if re-sold.
We reserve the right to alterations due to tech-
nical developments compared to the descrip-
tion provided in these instructions for use.
Reproduction, translations and copies in
any form, including extracts, require written
approval from the manufacturer.
The manufacturer owns copyright. These in-
structions for use are not subject to any amend-
ment service. You can nd out the current
status from us.
INTENDED PURPOSE
This shower stool is intended for use at home
and in patient areas - primary use in shower
and washrooms. It serves to increase independ-
ence in using the shower for persons with im-
paired physical functions. The shower stool is
only for use inside and is designed for a max-
imum load of 120 kg. As a climbing aid or for
similar purposes, the shower stool must not be
used.

Use of the shower stool is not appropriate in

SCOPE OF DELIVERY
The Redondo is delivered disassembled in a
cardboard box. The contents consist of:
w1 x seat plate
w4 x stool legs (telescopic)
w1 x operating instruction
Optional accessories:
w1 x soft-pad, blue (art. 000267)
w1 x soft-pad with swivel disk, blue
(art. 000268)
After unpacking, check the contents for com-
pleteness and full quantity pursuant to delivery
documents.

PRELIMINARY REMARKS

line with state of the art technology.
These instructions for use are intended for all
users, especially care staff, as a basis for safe and
hazard-free use of the shower stool.
These instructions describe the preparation,
operation, use, maintenance and care required
for the product.
To gain maximum use of this product and to maintain handling safety, please read the instructions
for use, observe the respective instructions for use and ensure that the instructions are always
accessible for the user.
ASSEMBLY
The shower stool has to be assembled after un-
packing.
wLay the seat upside down on a flat
surface
wPush the white parts of the chair legs
into the openings provided (so that the
holes of all legs point to the inside of the
stool) and engage the spring pin.
wAt least push in the 4 chair legs and
make sure that all chair legs are set at
the same seat height.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Two additional options are available for the Redondo. The soft pad or the swivel soft disk offer a
signicantly higher comfort when sitting, as well as when turning in the shower.

OPTION SOFT-PAD
wPress the soft pad with the intended pins
into the holes on the seat.
wMake sure that all chair legs are set at
the same seat height.
OPTION SOFT-PAD WITH SWIVEL DISK
wPlace the soft pad with the center disc
on the seat and mount it from below
with the provided retaining screw.
wTo swivel the seat disk pull the lock flap
upwards.
wNow turn the seat in the desired direction
and release the lock ap.
wThe seat automatically locks in at 90° to
the starting position.
USING THE SHOWER STOOL
Secure that your shower stool
wstands safe on all 4 legs so that
wthe stool can be occupied without
hindrance and enough room for
movements remains.
wafter each disassembly and reassembly,
check the stability and check that all
chair legs have the same length.
wAlways sit in the middle of the shower
stool. Do not lean excessively forward or
backwards (risk of tipping!)
wTo sit or stand up, we recommend to use
support handles or the help of the
caregiver.

After cleaning, dry off the shower stool with a clean cloth. Have any necessary repairs done by am

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
By observing the intended use and following the safety instructions, there is no danger of using the
shower stool.
The materials used and the design comply with the requirements of the EC directives, the Medical
Devices Act and the standards for medical devices.
t Before using the shower stool please check that all parts connected have been properly
tightened and work.
t The shower stool may only be used indoors on a firm and flat surface. Secure the stool
stands safe on all 4 legs.
t Be observe, that by shifting the balance through body movements the risk of tipping over
can be increased.
LABELS/ SERIAL NUMBER
Stickers must remain legible and not be removed.
Immediately replace illegible or missing stickers.
The serial number sticker is very important for
identifying the product, it is placed on the product
label, which is placed below the seat. It must not
be removed.

06 INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
wFor cleaning the shower stool can be wiped
with a damp cloth.
wDisinfect the shower stool occasionally
using conventional cleaning agents.
wCorrosion protection is given by the coated
aluminium frame. For a long lifetime we
recommend to rub the surface dry after
using.
FORWARDING/REUSING
In the event that the shower stool is forward-
ed/reused, please remember to hand over all
technical documents required for safe handling
to the new user.
The shower stool must be cleaned and disin-
fected, and must be checked for damage and
approved by the specialist retailer.
For manual reprocessing of the shower
stool wipe all parts thoroughly with surface
disinfectant.Alternatively, a machine reprocess-
ing is possible. Advantage: The hygiene stand-
ard is always uniformly high.
For both ways the use of following disinfectants
are recommended:
wAldehyde-free disinfectants based on
alcohol (max. 70%propyalcohol)
wOxygen-releasing disinfectants
wAldehyde-based disinfectants
ATTENTION
Please make sure to use any
disinfectant or cleaner accord-
ing to its intended purpose an

DISPOSAL
If your shower stool is no longer used and is to
be disposed of, please contact a local disposal
company to enquire about the regulations.
WARRANTY
Warranty services refer to all product de-
fects which are veriable attributable to
material or manufacturing aws. The war-
ranty period is 24months as of receipt of
notication of readiness for shipping, but
following delivery at the latest. Damage which
has occurred due to natural wear, intent, and
negligent or improper operation or usage is ex-
cluded from the warranty obligation. This also
applies to the use of unsuitable care products,
lubricating oils or greases.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
With sole responsibility, DIETZ GmbH declares
that the shower stool Redondo is in
conformity with EUDirective93/42 ECC pertain-
ing to medical products.
RESPONSIBILITY
Dietz GmbH can only take full responsibility
for the safety, reliability and usability of the
shower stool if all modications, adding of
optional parts or repairs are carried out by
authorised service personnel.
LIABILITY
Dietz GmbH only bears liability if the products
are used under the specied conditions and for
the specied purposes. We recommend that the
products be handled appropriately and cared
for according to the instructions. Dietz GmbH
accepts no liability for damage caused by compo-
nents and replacement parts which have not been
approved by DIETZ GmbH. Repairs must only be
carriedoutbyauthorisedspecialistretailersorbythe
manufacturer itself.
