1 Voor het eerste gebruik
1.1 Beoogd gebruik
De WG-2490 is de perfecte weegschaal voor het veilig wegen van uw pasgeboren kind.
Deze gebruiksvriendelijke weegschaal met grote LCD-display werkt op batterijen en maakt het dagelijks
wegen zeer eenvoudig.
1.2 Veiligheidsadvies
• Lees de veiligheidsinstructies altijd aandachtig door.
•Houd u bij het gebruik van deze weegschaal aan de elementaire voorzorgsmaatregelen die gelden
voor alle elektronische apparaten.
• Bewaar deze handleiding voor later gebruik.
• Dit apparaat is niet waterbestendig. Stel het product niet bloot aan regen of vocht.
• Plaats dit toestel op een stevige, vlakke ondergrond voor u het instelt.
•Als een van de volgende situaties zich voordoet, dient u het toestel te laten controleren door een
servicemonteur:
– Het toestel is blootgesteld aan vocht.
– Het toestel is gevallen en beschadigd.
– Het toestel vertoont duidelijke tekenen van scheuren.
– Plaats het toestel niet in een vochtige ruimte op een afstand van minder dan 1,5 meter van
een waterbron.
•Demonteer deze weegschaal niet. De weegschaal bevat geen onderdelen die door de gebruiker
kunnen worden gerepareerd.
• Zet de weegschaal alleen in voor het beoogde gebruik.

2 Installatie
Plaats batterijen in het batterijvak om de display te activeren:
• Open het batterijvak aan de onderkant van het toestel.
• Plaats de 2 niet-oplaadbare AAA-batterijen (1,5 V) met de polen zoals aangegeven.
• Sluit het batterijvak.
Sluit de batterijen niet kort en gooi ze nooit in het vuur. Verwijder de batterijen als
uhet toestel langere tijd niet gebruikt.

4 Eenvoudige bediening
• Druk op de AAN/UIT?TARE-toets (2).
•Druk op de UNIT-toets (3) om ‘Kilogram (kg)’, ‘Pound (lb)’ of ‘Stone (st)’ te selecteren.
• Plaats de baby voorzichtig op de schaal.
• Het gewicht van de baby (maximaal 20 kg) wordt na enkele seconden weergegeven op de display.
Als u de baby op een handdoek legt, dient u die op de weegschaal te plaatsen
voordat u deze inschakelt. Als u dit vergeten bent, kunt u op de AAN/UIT/TARE-toets
drukken om te corrigeren voor het gewicht van de handdoek, direct nadat u de
handdoek hebt neergelegd.
•Druk voor een paar seconden de AAN/UIT/TARE-toets (2) om de weegschaal uit te schakelen. Als
u dit niet doet wordt de weegschaal na 20 seconden automatisch uitgeschakeld.

6 Reinigen
Reinig de weegschaal met een licht vochtige doek of antistatische doek. Gebruik nooit
reinigingsmiddelen of schurende oplosmiddelen.

7 Afvoeren van het toestel (milieu)
Na afloop van de levenscyclus van het product mag u het niet met het normale
huishoudelijke afval weggooien, maar moet u het naar een inzamelpunt brengen voor
recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur. Dit wordt aangeduid door het
symbool op het product, in de handleiding en/of op de verpakking.
Sommige materialen waaruit het product is vervaardigd kunnen worden hergebruikt als u
ze naar een inzamelpunt brengt. Door onderdelen of grondstoffen van gebruikte producten te
hergebruiken, levert u een belangrijke bijdrage aan de bescherming van het milieu. Wend u tot de
plaatselijke overheid voor meer informatie over de inzamelpunten bij u in de buurt.
Verwijder de batterijen voordat u het toestel naar een inzamelpunt brengt.
Voer de batterijen op een milieuvriendelijke manier af volgens de regels die gelden in uw land.
8 Topcom-garantie
8.1 Garantietermijn
De Topcom-toestellen hebben een garantietermijn van 24 maanden. De garantietermijn gaat in op de
dag waarop het nieuwe toestel wordt aangeschaft.
Verbruiksartikelen en defecten die een verwaarloosbaar effect hebben op de werking of waarde van het
toestel worden niet gedekt door de garantie.
De garantie moet worden bewezen door het kunnen voorleggen van de originele aankoopbon waarop
de aankoopdatum en het toestelmodel staan aangegeven.
8.2 Garantiebeperkingen
Schade of defecten als gevolg van een onjuiste behandeling of onjuist gebruik en schade als gevolg van
het gebruik van niet-originele onderdelen of accessoires die niet worden aanbevolen door Topcom,
vallen buiten de garantie.
De garantie dekt geen schade te wijten aan externe factoren, zoals bliksem, water en brand, noch enige
tijdens transport veroorzaakte schade.
Er kan geen aanspraak worden gemaakt op garantie als het serienummer op het toestel is veranderd,
verwijderd of onleesbaar gemaakt.
Dit product voldoet aan de basiseisen en andere relevante bepalingen
van richtlijn 2004/108/EC.

1.1 Intended Purpose
The Digital WG-2490 is the ultimate scale for weighing safely your newborn.
This easy to use, large LCD display scale is battery-operated scale and makes daily weighing very easy.
1.2 Safety advice
• Always read the safety instructions carefully.
•Follow the basic safety precautions for all electronic equipment when using this Scale.
• Keep this User's Manual for future reference.
•This unit is not waterproof. Don't expose this product to rain or moisture.
• Lay this equipment on a reliable flat surface before setting it up.
•If any of the following situation arises, get the equipment checked by a service technician:
– The equipment has been exposed to moisture.
– The equipment has been dropped and damaged.
– The equipment shows signs of breakage.
– Do not place the basic unit in a damp room at a distance of less than 1.5 m away from a
water source.
•Don't disassemble this scale. The scale doesn't contain any parts that can be repaired by the user.
• Use the scale only for its intended purpose.

2 Installation
Put batteries in the battery compartment to activate the display :
• Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit.
• Insert the 2 AAA non - rechargeable batteries (1,5V) following the polarity as shown.
• Close the battery compartment.
Do not short-circuit & dispose of in fire. Remove the batteries if this device is not
going to be used for a long period.

4Simple operation
•Press the ON/OFF/TARA-button (2).
•Press the UNIT - button (3) to select ‘Kilogram (kg)’, ‘Stone (st)’ or ‘Pound (lb)’
•Gently place the baby on the pan.
•The babies weight (maximum 20Kg) flashes on the display after a few seconds.
If you use a towl to lay the baby on, it should be placed on the pan before switching
on. If you forgot to do so, press the ON/OFF/TARA-button to eliminate the weight of
the towl immediatelly after you have layed down the towl.
If you remove the towl, the scale will display a negative reading.
•Press for a few seconds the ON/OFF/TARA-button (2) to turn the scale Off or it will turn off
automatically in idle mode after 20 seconds.
5 Error messages

6 Cleaning
Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use cleaning agents or
abrasive solvents.

7 Disposal of the device (environment)
At the end of the product lifecycle, you should not throw this product into the normal
household garbage but bring the product to a collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipments. The symbol on the product, user guide and/or box indicate this.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you bring them to a recycling point. By re-
using some parts or raw materials from used products you make an important contribution
to the protection of the environment. Please contact your local authorities in case you need more
information on the collection points in your area.
Batteries must be removed before disposing of the device.
Dispose of the batteries in an environmental manner according to your country regulations.
8 Topcom warranty
8.1 Warranty period
The Topcom units have a 24-month warranty period. The warranty period starts on the day the new unit
is purchased.
Consumables or defects causing a negligible effect on operation or value of the equipment are not
covered.
The warranty has to be proven by presentation of the original purchase receipt, on which the date of
purchase and the unit-model are indicated.
8.2 Warranty exclusions
Damage or defects caused by incorrect treatment or operation and damage resulting from use of non-
original parts or accessories not recommended by Topcom are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by outside factors, such as lightning, water and fire, nor
any damage caused during transportation.
No warranty can be claimed if the serial number on the units has been changed, removed or rendered
illegible.
This product is in compliance with the essential requirements and
other relevant provisions of the directive 2004/108/EC.

1.1 Utilisation
Le WG-2490 est la toute dernière balance qui permet de peser votre nouveau-né en toute sécurité.
Cette balance simple d'utilisation avec grand écran LCD fonctionne sur piles et facilite la pesée
quotidienne.
1.2 Conseils de sécurité
• Lisez toujours attentivement les instructions de sécurité.
•Respectez les précautions élémentaires applicables à tous les équipements électroniques lorsque
vous utilisez cette balance.
• Conservez ce mode d'emploi afin de pouvoir le consulter ultérieurement.
•Cet appareil n'est pas étanche. Évitez de l'exposer à la pluie ou à l'humidité.
• Posez l'appareil sur une surface plane sûre avant de le paramétrer.
•Dans les situations suivantes, faites vérifier l'équipement par un technicien de maintenance :
– L'équipement a été exposé à l'humidité.
– L'équipement a été endommagé suite à une chute.
– L'équipement présente des signes de détérioration.
– N'installez pas l'appareil de base dans une pièce humide ou à moins de 1,5 m d'un point
d'eau.
•Ne démontez pas cette balance. Elle ne contient aucune pièce réparable par l'utilisateur.
• Utilisez la balance exclusivement pour son usage prévu.

2 Installation
Insérez les piles dans leur compartiment afin d'activer l'écran :
• Ouvrez le compartiment des piles sur le dessous de l'appareil.
• Insérez les 2 piles AAA non rechargeables (1,5 V) enrespectant la polarité illustrée.
• Refermez le compartiment des piles.
Évitez de court-circuiter les piles et ne les jetez pas au feu. Retirez-les lorsque vous
n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant une durée prolongée.

• Appuyez sur le Bouton marche/arrêt)/tare (2).

• Placez délicatement le bébé sur le plateau.
• Le poids du bébé (20 Kg au maximum) clignote sur l'écran après quelques secondes.
Si vous utilisez une serviette pour y allonger le bébé, celle-ci doit être posée sur le
plateau avant d'allumer la balance. Si vous oubliez de le faire, appuyez sur le Bouton
marche/arrêt)/tare pour retirer le poids de la serviette immédiatement après avoir
posé la serviette.
• Appuyez sur le Bouton marche/arrêt)/tare (2) pendant quelques secondes pour éteindre la balance.
Elle s'éteindra automatiquement si elle reste en veille pendant 20 secondes.

6 Nettoyage
Nettoyez le plateau à l'aide d'un chiffon légèrement humide ou antistatique. N'utilisez jamais de
détergents ou de solvants abrasifs.
7 Mise au rebut de l'appareil (environnement)
Au terme du cycle de vie de ce produit, ne le jetez pas avec les déchets ménagers
ordinaires mais déposez-le dans un point de collecte pour le recyclage des équipements
électriques et électroniques. Le symbole indiqué sur ce produit, sur le mode d'emploi et/ou
sur la boîte est là pour vous le rappeler.

8 Garantie Topcom
8.1 Période de garantie
Les appareils Topcom bénéficient d'une période de garantie de 24 mois. La période de garantie prend
effet le jour de l'achat du nouvel appareil.
Les accessoires et les défauts qui ont un effet négligeable sur le fonctionnement ou la valeur de
l'appareil ne sont pas couverts.
La garantie s'applique uniquement sur présentation du récépissé d'achat original sur lequel figurent la
date de l'achat et le modèle de l'appareil.
8.2 Exclusions de garantie
Les dommages et les pannes dus à un mauvais traitement ou à une utilisation incorrecte et les
dommages résultant de l'utilisation de pièces et d'accessoires non recommandés par Topcom ne sont
pas couverts par la garantie.
La garantie ne couvre pas les dommages causés par des éléments extérieurs tels que la foudre, l'eau
et le feu ni les dommages provoqués par le transport.
Aucune garantie ne pourra être invoquée si le numéro de série indiqué sur les appareils a été modifié,
supprimé ou rendu illisible.
Ce produit est conforme aux exigences essentielles et autres

• Lesen Sie die Sicherheitshinweise immer sorgfältig durch.
•Befolgen Sie alle grundsätzlichen Sicherheitsvorkehrungen für elektronische Geräte, wenn Sie
diese Waage benutzen.
• Heben Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung zur späteren Verwendung auf.
•Dieses Gerät ist nicht wasserfest. Setzen Sie dieses Produkt nicht Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus.

2 Installation
Legen Sie zur Aktivierung der Anzeige die Batterien in das Batteriefach ein:
• Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Unterseite des Geräts.
• Legen Sie die 2 AAA (1,5 V) nicht wiederaufladbaren Batterien ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die
angegebene Polarität.
•Schließen Sie das Batteriefach.
Schließen Sie die Batterien nicht kurz und verbrennen Sie sie nicht. Entfernen Sie
die Batterien, wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird.

• Drücken Sie die EIN/AUS/TARA-Taste (2).
•Drücken Sie die EINHEITEN - Taste (3), um ‘Kilogramm (kg)’, ‘Stone (st)’ oder ‘Pfund (lb)’
auszuwählen.
• Legen Sie das Baby vorsichtig auf die Schale.
• Das Gewicht des Babys (maximal 20 kg) blinkt nach ein paar Sekunden auf dem Display.
Wenn Sie ein Handtuch unter das Baby legen, müssen Sie es vor dem Einschalten
auf die Waagschale legen. Wenn Sie es vergessen haben, drücken Sie die EIN/AUS/
TARA-Taste, um das Gewicht des Handtuchs nach dem Ablegen des Handtuchs
abzuziehen.
• Drücken Sie die EIN/AUS/TARA-Taste (2) für einige Sekunden, um die Waage auszuschalten,
ansonsten wird nach 20 Sekunden automatisch der Ruhemodus aktiviert.

6 Reinigung
Reinigen Sie die Waage mit einem leicht feuchten Lappen oder mit einem antistatischen Tuch.
Verwenden Sie niemals Reinigungs- oder Scheuermittel.
7 Entsorgung des Geräts (Umweltschutz)
Am Ende der Nutzungsdauer des Produkts darf das Gerät nicht im normalen Hausmüll
entsorgt werden. Bringen Sie es zu einer Sammelstelle zur Aufbereitung elektrischer und
elektronischer Geräte. Das Symbol am Produkt, in der Bedienungsanleitung und/oder
Verpackung zeigt dies an.

Einige der Materialien des Produkts können wieder verwendet werden, wenn Sie das Gerät in einer

8 Topcom Garantie
8.1 Garantiezeit
Topcom Geräte haben eine 24-monatige Garantiezeit. Die Garantiezeit beginnt an dem Tag, an dem
das neue Gerät erworben wurde.
Verschleißteile oder Mängel, die den Wert oder die Gebrauchstauglichkeit des Gerätsnur unerheblich
beeinflussen, sind von der Garantie ausgeschlossen.
Der Garantieanspruch muss durch den Originalkaufbeleg, auf dem das Kaufdatum und das
Gerätemodell ersichtlich sind, nachgewiesen werden.
8.2 Garantieausschlüsse
Schäden oder Mängel, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder Betrieb verursacht werden sowie
Defekte, die durch die Verwendung von Nicht-Originalteilen oder die Verwendung von nicht von Topcom
empfohlenem Zubehör entstehen, werden nicht von der Garantie abgedeckt.
Die Garantie deckt keine Schäden ab, die durch äußere Einflüsse entstanden sind, wie z. B.
Blitzeinschlag, Wasser, Brände oder auch jegliche Transportschäden.
Wenn die Seriennummer des Geräts verändert, entfernt oder unleserlich gemacht wurde, kann keine
Garantie in Anspruch genommen werden.
Dieses Produkt entspricht den grundlegenden Anforderungen und
anderen relevanten Bestimmungen der Richtlinie 2004/108/EC. Die

todo ello la operación diaria de pesado.
1.2 Advertencia de seguridad
• Lea siempre las instrucciones de seguridad atentamente.
•Respete las precauciones básicas de seguridad de todos los equipos electrónicos durante el uso
de esta Balanza.
• Conserve este manual de usuario para poder consultarlo en un futuro.
• Este aparato no está impermeabilizado. No exponga este producto a la lluvia o la humedad.
• Asiente este equipo sobre una superficie plana y estable antes de instalarlo.
•En caso de que se produzca cualquiera de las siguientes situaciones, lleve el equipo al servicio
técnico para que se lo revisen:
– El equipo se ha visto expuesto a humedad.

2 Instalación
Coloque las pilas en el compartimiento de pilas para activar la pantalla:
• Abra la tapa del compartimiento situado en la parte inferior del aparato.
• Instale 2 pilas AAA (1,5 V) no recargables según la polaridad indicada.
• Cierre el compartimiento de las pilas.
No provoque cortocircuitos ni tire las pilas al fuego. Retírelas si no va a utilizar el
dispositivo durante mucho tiempo.

4 Funcionamiento sencillo
• Pulse el Botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO/TARA (2).
•Pulse el botón de UNIDADES (3) para seleccionar "kilogramos (kg)", "stone (st)" o "libras (lb)"
• Coloque al bebé con cuidado sobre la bandeja.
• El peso del bebé (máximo 20 kg) parpadeará en la pantalla tras unos segundos.
Si utiliza una toalla para colocar al bebé, colóquela en el soporte antes de
encenderlo. Si olvida hacerlo, pulse el Botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO/TARA
eliminar el peso de la toalla inmediatamente después de colocarla.
Si retira la toalla, la balanza mostrará una lectura negativa.
• Pulse el Botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO/TARA (2) durante unos segundos para apagar la
báscula o se apagará automáticamente cuando haya estado en reposos más de 20 segundos.

6 Limpieza
Limpie la balanza con un trapo ligeramente humedecido o con un trapo antiestático. No use nunca
agentes limpiadores ni disolventes abrasivos.
7 Eliminación del dispositivo (medio ambiente)
Al final de su vida útil este producto no debe ser desechado en un contenedor normal, sino
en un punto de recogida destinado al reciclaje de equipos eléctricos y electrónicos. Así lo
indica el símbolo en el producto, en el manual de usuario y/o en la caja.
Si usted los lleva a un punto de reciclaje, algunos de los materiales del producto podrán
reutilizarse. La reutilización de algunas de las piezas o materias primas de estos productos

8 Garantía de Topcom
8.1 Período de garantía
Las unidades de Topcom tienen un período de garantía de 24 meses. El período de garantía entra en
vigor el día en que se adquiere la nueva unidad.
La garantía no cubre los consumibles ni los defectos que tengan un efecto insignificante en el
funcionamiento o en el valor del equipo.
La garantía debe demostrarse presentando el comprobante original de compra, en el que constarán la
fecha de la compra y el modelo de la unidad.
8.2 Limitaciones de la garantía
Los daños o defectos causados por tratamiento o manejo incorrectos y los daños resultantes del uso de
piezas o accesorios no originales no recomendados por Topcom no están cubiertos por la garantía.
La garantía no cubre los daños ocasionados por factores externos tales como relámpagos, agua o
fuego, como tampoco los daños causados durante el transporte.
La garantía no será válida si el número de serie de las unidades se cambia, se elimina o resulta ilegible.
Este producto cumple con los requisitos esenciales y con el resto de
disposiciones relevantes de la directiva 2004/108/EC.

1 Antes da primeira utilização
1.1 Utilização prevista
A WG-2490 é a melhor balança para pesar o seu bebé em segurança.
Esta balança fácil de utilizar, com um grande visor LCD, funciona a pilhas e facilita muito a pesagem
no dia-a-dia.
1.2 Avisos de segurança
• Leia sempre cuidadosamente as instruções de segurança.
• Respeite as precauções de segurança básicas relativas a equipamento electrónico ao utilizar esta
Balança.
• Conserve este Manual de Utilizador para referência futura.
• Esta unidade não é à prova de água. Não a exponha à chuva ou à humidade.
• Coloque o equipamento numa superfície horizontal estável antes de o inicializar.
• Caso ocorra alguma das seguintes situações, o equipamento deve ser verificado por um técnico:
– O equipamento foi exposto a humidade.
– O equipamento caiu e ficou danificado.
– O equipamento apresenta sinais evidentes de danos.
– Não coloque a unidade de base num espaço húmido ou a uma distância inferior a 1,5 m de
água.
• Não desmonte a balança. A balança não contém peças que possam ser reparadas pelo utilizador.
• Utilize a balança apenas para o fim a que se destina.

2 Instalação
Coloque as pilhas no compartimento das pilhas de modo a activar o visor :
• Abra o compartimento das pilhas na parte inferior da unidade.
• Instale as 2 pilhas AAA não recarregáveis (1,5V) respeitando a polaridade, tal como se mostra.
• Feche o compartimento das pilhas.
Não provoque curtos-circuitos nem elimine queimando. Retire as pilhas se não
pretender utilizar o dispositivo durante um longo período de tempo.

premir o Botão-LIGAR/DESLIGAR/TARA - para eliminar o peso da toalha
imediatamente depois de ter pousado a toalha.
• Pressione o Botão-LIGAR/DESLIGAR/TARA (2) durante alguns segundos para DESLIGAR a
balança, caso contrário irá desligar-se automaticamente no modo espera, após 20 segundos.

6 Limpeza
Limpe a balança com um pano ligeiramente humedecido ou com um pano anti-estático. Nunca utilize
produtos de limpeza nem solventes abrasivos.
7 Eliminação do dispositivo (ambiente)
Quando o ciclo de vida do produto chega ao fim, não deve eliminar este produto
juntamente com os resíduos domésticos. Deve levá-lo a um ponto de recolha de
equipamentos eléctricos e electrónicos. O símbolo presente no produto, no manual do
utilizador e/ou na caixa dá essa indicação.

Alguns dos materiais do produto podem ser reutilizados se os colocar num ponto de reciclagem. Ao
reutilizar algumas das partes ou das matérias-primas dos produtos utilizados, contribui de forma

informações sobre os pontos de recolha existentes na sua área.
As pilhas devem ser removidas antes de eliminar o dispositivo.
Elimine as pilhas de forma ecológica, de acordo com os regulamentos do seu país.
8 Garantia da Topcom
8.1 Período de garantia
As unidades Topcom têm um período de garantia de 24 meses. O período de garantia tem início no dia
da aquisição da nova unidade.
Consumíveis ou defeitos que causem um efeito negligenciável no funcionamento ou no valor do
equipamento não são abrangidos.
A garantia tem de ser acompanhada pela apresentação de prova de compra original, na qual figurem a
data de compra e o modelo da unidade.
8.2 Exclusões de garantia
Danos ou defeitos causados pelo tratamento ou funcionamento incorrectos e danos resultantes de
utilização de peças não originais ou acessórios não recomendados pela Topcom não são abrangidos
pela garantia.
A garantia não cobre danos causados por factores externos, como relâmpagos, água e fogo, nem
quaisquer danos causados durante o transporte.
A garantia também não poderá ser accionada se o número de série existente nas unidades tiver sido
alterado, removido ou se estiver ilegível.
Este produto está em conformidade com os requisitos essenciais e
outras determinações importantes da directiva 2004/108/EC.
