TITLE BAR
Displays the type of main data, test
name, time, and duration of current
exam.
AUXILIARY LENS/PD DISPLAY 
Displays the auxiliary lens set. The PD
value is also displayed.
MINI HELP
Displays the beginning portion of the
customizable script for the current test.
 FUNCTION SELECTOR
BUTTONS
These buttons are used to
change dial functions.
DATA REFERENCE
Displays data measured by an external
device, AR=Auto Refractometer,
Rx=Lensmeter.

DIAL NAVIGATION
Indicates which way to turn dial for + /- .
MASK SELECTOR BUTTON
This button is used to apply the vertical, horizontal
or character mask or the red/green filter to the
chart.
PROG BUTTON
Press [Prog] button, and the registered courses
are displayed. Select a course or test to be
started with the dial and press [SET] button to
start the course.
MASK MOVE BUTTON
You can change the use of the mask or change the
chart to the previous or next one.
Press each arrow button, and you can move the
visible chart.
HELP
Displays the customized text for the test
being performed.
TOUCH PANEL OPERATION UNIT
Items may be selected in this area of the screen
by touching the screen.
MAIN DATA
Displays the current lens settings in the CV-5000.
SET BUTTON
QUICK REFERENCE
VA BUTTON
This button is used to input the visual acuity. Press
[VA] button and select the visual acuity.
Press [SET] button to record the visual acuity.
If you use mask, the visual acuity is set.
 SPECIAL FUNCTION
BUTTONS
These buttons are used before and
after tests to select settings, data
input/output, menu display, power
on/off for monitor, etc.
Press [Shift] and [Menu] buttons at
the same time, and you can access
[Settings] menu.
BASIC OPERATION
BUTTONS
These buttons are used for tests on
sphere, cylinder, axis, and cross
cylinder test.

Programs 1-5 are customizable.

This program proceeds automatic astigmatism test using cross cyinder.

■ Flow of Program
The flow of STANDARD program is as follows.
Look at the
③title bar,
④Dial Navigation,
⑤⑥ Help menu,
then you perform the examination by
turning ①dial for "which is better 1 or 2"
and pressing ②[SET] button to go to the
next step.
■Program Guided Examination
Press [Print] button to print out the data.
Press [Menu] button, if necessary, to acess [Eye
examination tool] for consultation.
Press [CL] button to reset. All for the test.

C Prepare CV-5000
①Set the CV-5000 head in front of patient.
②Press [PD] button and turn on the corneal
illumination.
③Check the position of eye, by looking through
the examination windows.
④Check the vertex position looking through the
corneal aligning windows.
Adjust forehead rest knob.
ATu rn the power on.
①Tu rn on the external units, such as Chart
Projector.
②Tu rn on the CV-3000 & KB-50.

Auto-Refractometer Computerized
Lensmeter
RM CL
B Input objective measurement data and lensmeter data.
①Measure the eye with RM (Refractometer).
②Press [PRINT] button on RM, then data is
output automatically.
③Measure the glasses with CL (Computerized
Lensmeter).
④Press [PRINT] button on CL, then data is
output automatically.
⑤Press [IN] button on KB-50.
Data from RM and CL is displayed in data
reference area.
⑥If in selectable mode, select the patient data
from each of the interfaced external devices.
