1.Todigorrakeusingtheupperjaw,openthejawsallthe
way,andtilttheattachmentforwarduntiltheupperjaw
teethtouch(orpenetrate)theground.
2.Drivethemachinerearwards.Torakeuploosesticks
andotherdebris,whichyoucanthengrabwiththe
jaws,placetheteethontheground.Todigfurrowsin
theearthandbreakupthesod,penetratetheground
withtheteeth.
Note:Youcanalsoperformthisoperationwiththe
jawsclosed,becausetheupperteethprotrudethrough
thelowerjaw(Figure4).

Beforeeachuseordaily•Greasethepivotjoints(andimmediatelyaftereverywashing).
Beforestorage•Paintchippedsurfaces.
CAUTION
Ifyouleavethekeyinthetractionunitignitionswitchwhilethegrapplerakeisattached,someonecould
accidentlystarttheengineandseriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchbeforeyoudoanymaintenance.
GreasingthePivotPoints
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily(andimmediately
aftereverywashing).
GreaseType:General-purposegrease.
1.Lowertheloaderarms,closethegrapplejaws,turnthe
keytotheOFFposition,andremovethekeyfromthe
ignitionswitch.
2.Cleanthegreasettingswitharag.
3.Connectagreaseguntoeachtting(Figure6).
