TrammingSafety
Youmovethemachinetoandfromtheworksitewith
theuseofatravelpendant.Whentramming(moving
themachinewiththependant),observethefollowing
safetyprecautions:
•Operatethetravelpendantalongsidethemachine
outsideofthedangerzone(Figure3).
•Keepallbystandersawaywhiletrammingthe
machine.
•Donotcarrypassengersonthemachine.
•Watchfortheturning-radiussweepofthedrill
frame,asthecenteroftheturningradiusisthe
endofthetrack.
•Moveslowlywhenusingthependantfortramming.
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
ontoatrailer.
•Watchfortrafcwhencrossingroadways.
•Checkforoverheadclearances(i.e.,doorways,
branches,electricalwires)beforetrammingunder
anyobjectsanddonotcontactthem.
•Whentrammingonaslope,youshouldbeuphill
fromthemachine.
