Using the conguration utility
Using the Web-based GUI
The switch is plug and play. To manage the switch, you can use the
Web-based GUI or the conguration utility.
The utility is provided on the resource CD and only supported on
Windows now.
Double click the switch that you want to congure. Next enter the
username and password (both admin) for it. Then use the utility to
congure the switch.
5.
For more details, see the User Guide and the Easy Smart Conguration
Utility User Guide on the resource CD.
3. Double click the icon on the
desktop, and the utility home page
displays a list of TP-LINK Easy Smart
Switches on the local network.
1. Insert the resource CD into a computer connected to the switch.
2. The resource CD home screen will
appear. If not, double click AutoRun.exe
on the resource CD. Then click Install
Easy Smart Conguration Utility on the
home screen and follow the prompts to
install the program.
Visit the Web-based GUI with the default IP address of the switch
http://192.168.0.1, and log in with admin as both user name and
password. Then congure the switch on the GUI.
2.
Prepare your computer with a static IP address 192.168.0.x ("x" ranges
from 2 to 254), and a subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
1.
Make sure the switch that you want to manage is in the same subnet as
your computer. You can click to congure the switch IP address.

If connected PoE devices’ total power consumption exceeds 55W, the system
will cut o the power of port 4. For example, port 1, 2 and 4 are consuming 15.4W
respectively, if an additional PoE device with 12W is inserted to port 3, the system
will cut o the power of port 4 to compensate for the overload.
Q3. Why is port 4 not supplying power for PoE devices?
