2.0 What the Machine is Designed For
2.1 Applicaons
The CAMON TC07 Turf Cuer has been designed by Tracmaster for removing the
top surface of lawn.
The benet of using a TC07 Turf Cuer is the ease and eciency with which the
machine is able to cut consistent strips of turf away from the soil.
The blade of the CAMON TC07 Turf Cuer is designed to be used only on to cut
strips of grass.
Prior to operaon of the TC07, the operator MUST test the depth of the soil which
can be done simply with a garden fork.
The Turf Cuer should NOT be used in ground which is less than 25mm in depth or
which contains rocks, bricks or other debris.
DO NOT use the CAMON TC07 Turf Cuer for any alternave use other than
removing grass from soil.
Operang the machine on non-grass surfaces such as concrete or tarmac will cause
damage to the TC07 Turf Cuer.

5.0 Safety Instrucons – Pre-Operaon
5.1 Basic Safety Instrucons
Before starng the machine, read and understand these operang instrucons.
5.2 Main Components and Operang Elements
Below is a descripon of the main components of the TC07 Turf Cuer and how
they operate.
5.3 Engine and Drive
The Honda GX160 is a four stroke engine that runs on standard unleaded fuel.
The engine is air cooled and therefore it is important
that the grille covering the recoil rope is kept clear from
debris.
The engine air lter cleans the air sucked in by the engine.
A clogged air lter will reduce performance.
The engine is ed with a fuel on/o lever and a
choke lever. Read the engine operang instrucons to
understand the operaon of these levers.
5.4 Gear Selector Lever
The drive to the back axle of the TC07 Turf Cuer can be engaged and disengaged
using the gear selector lever located at the rear of the machine, above the front
axles.
Locang the gear lever
in the ‘0’ posion
disengages the drive
from the back axle. The
machine can be free
wheeled in this posion.
Move the gear selector lever to the ‘I’ posion to engage the engine drive to wheels.
NB: The power to the back axle from the engine is controlled by a centrifugal clutch
that is aached to the engine. Moving the gear lever to the engaged posion will
not drive the machine automacally. It is only when the drive lever is acvated and
the engine revs are increased to a point at which the centrifugal clutch is engaged
that the engine power is transferred to the back axle.
5.5 Drive Lever
The drive lever is located beneath the le-hand handlebar grip.
GEAR LEVER ENGAGED GEAR LEVER DISENGAGED

CAMON TC07 Turf Cuer
TC07 Turf Cuer Page 7
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A TWO STAGE LEVER. THE GREY BUTTON MUST BE
DEPRESSED BEFORE THE MAIN LEVER CAN BE PULLED UP.
This lever operates both the cung blade and the driving power to the back
wheels. It does this by raising the engine speed unl a centrifugal clutch engages
and transfers the engine power to the driven components of the TC07.
Leng go of the drive lever causes the engine revoluons to drop, the centrifugal
clutch to disengage and both the engine drive and cung blade to stop moving.
5.6 Cung Depth Adjustment
The cung depth of the blade is adjusted using the two
adjuster knobs - the lower locking knob and the top
height adjustment knob. The top height adjustment knob
is connected to a length of threaded rod that is wound
into and out of the chassis. These knobs are located in
front of the handlebar mounng on the top secon of
the main chassis.
The lower knob is for locking the posion of the top knob. To adjust the depth of the
cung blade, rst loosen the lower locking knob. Once this knob is able to move
freely, you can adjust the posion of the top knob into and out of the chassis by
turning it clockwise and anclockwise.
Using the indicator scker on the thread of the top knob it is possible to choose
your required depth of cut. This ranges from 25mm to 40mm.
5.7 Machine Liing Lever
Located at the rear of
the machine, below the
handlebars, this lever allows
the operator to move the
cung blade in and out of the
ground.

5.8 Commissioning
Prior to operaon it is necessary to check the engine oil level and add engine oil
level to the levels indicated in the table in secon 6.1.
The engine fuel tank will not contain fuel so will need lling to the recommended
level before use.
5.9 General Safety Instrucons
Be aware of all the safety requirements for the machine.
Visually check the machine for operaonal safety, complete components and xed
guarding prior to each use.
Read and be aware of the warning and instrucon signs located on the machinery.
Cordon o the work area to access from the general public.
Before starng work clear the area of any objects that may cause damage to the
machine.
Do not operate the machine if you are under the inuence of alcohol or drugs. This
equipment must only be operated by persons who are medically t both physically
and mentally.
Only work in good light and visibility.
Wear the correct personal protecon equipment as instructed by this manual.
Operator clothing should not be loose and footwear should oer good grip.
Know how to stop the machine in an emergency.
5.10 Engine Specic Safety Instrucons
PETROLISHIGHLY FLAMMABLE.ALWAYS STOPTHEENGINEANDENSURE THE
FUEL TAP IS TURNED OFF BEFORE REFUELING, OR WHEN TRANSPORTING,
CLEANING, OR MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO THE MACHINERY.
Do not smoke or use a naked ame when refueling.
Use only unleaded petrol from fuel containers designed for this purpose. Refuel
outdoors only and replace the fuel tank cap securely.
Do not mix oil with the fuel.
Leave one inch of space in the fuel tank during relling.
Clear up any petrol spillages immediately.
Always start the engine in the open air. Starng an engine within a conned space
can lead to the inhalaon of toxic substances.
Avoid contact with the engine during operaon as it will become hot. Leave the
engine to cool prior to contact and storage.
Never interfere with the control sengs of the engine.

6.4 Operaon
Before using the Turf Cuer the grass must be cut short and be cleared of any
objects such as stones or scks that would damage the Turf Cuer, or be picked up
and thrown by the moving blade.
WARNING: USING THE TURF CUTTER ON LONG GRASS WILL QUICKLY
CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENTS OF THE MACHINE. WE RECOMMEND
THE GRASS IS CUT PRIOR TO USING THE TURF CUTTER.
Do not operate the Turf Cuer on wet lawns or in wet weather.
Do not operate the engine in a conned space where dangerous carbon monoxide
fumes can collect.
Do not operate the machine in very hard dry ground.

8.1 Transportaon
Use ramps where possible to manoeuvre the TC07 Turf Cuer into a transportaon
vehicle.
The TC07 Turf Cuer must be xed securely using straps and by placing chocks
behind the wheels.
Always transport the TC07 Turf Cuer horizontally and not lted at an angle.
Ensure that the fuel control lever on the engine is moved into the OFF posion so
fuel does not leak into the carburetor during transportaon.
8.2 Storage
Always allow the engine to cool down prior to storage.
Always clean the machine and dry thoroughly prior to storage and ensure all
lubricaon points have been re-greased.
For periods of long storage, change the engine oil.
Either drain the fuel completely or ll the fuel tank and add fuel stabilizer.
Do not store the TC07 Turf Cuer in wet rooms, where ferliser is stored, or in
stables as heavy corrosion may occur.
Always store the machine in a horizontal posion.
8.3 Handling
Do not aempt to li the machine alone. At least two people is the minimum
required.
Gloves must be worn when liing the TC07 Turf Cuer.
