• Consulte na Tabela 1, a seção e o comprimento da extensão elétrica aplicável ao seu equipamento.

MONTAGEM DO EQUIPAMENTO
Desligue o equipamento da tomada sempre puxando pelo plugue, nunca pelo fio antes de realizar
qualquer trabalho de manutenção e utilize apenas peças originais.
Insira a proteção para mãos na parte frontal do podador (Fig. 01), e fixe usando os 2 parafusos que
acompanham ela (Fig. 02). Certifique-se de que está apertado o suficiente.
Nunca utilize o podador de cerca-viva sem a proteção para as mãos. Use roupas e luvas de
proteção adequadas quando operar o equipamento.
Fixa cabo
1) Para sua segurança e evitar que o cabo elétrico se desconecte do plugue enquanto o trabalho estiver
sendo executado, dobre o cabo 1 (Fig. 03) e passe pelo orifício 2 (Fig. 04).
2) Em seguida encaixe no fixa cabo 3 (Fig. 05).
3) Só depois conecte o cabo elétrico ao plugue do podador de cerca-viva.

Luz indicativa de força
A luz indicativa de força 1 (Fig. 06), acende quando o plugue está conectado à rede elétrica. Se a luz
apagar, verifique se o cabo de alimentação e a extensão elétrica estão ligados na tomada.
Alça ajustável
O podador elétrico PE50 tem uma alça traseira ajustável. A alça pode ser ajustada em quatro posições
diferentes, além da posição normal. Basta selecionar a posição na qual você se sente mais confortável
para trabalhar. Por exemplo, a alça pode girar até 90° no sentido horário ou 90° no sentido anti-horário
para cortar para cima ou para baixo. O ajuste de 45° é ideal para acabamentos e cortes redondos.
Pressione o botão “LIBERAR” 1 (Fig. 07) e gire a alça no sentido horário ou anti-horário até as posições
de 45° ou 90° (Fig. 08, pág. 06). Quando a alça se encaixar na posição desejada e você ouvir um clique,
solte o botão de liberação. A alça só pode ser ajustada com o equipamento desligado.
Não pressione o botão “LIBERAR” 1 (Fig. 07) e o interruptor traseiro 2 (Fig. 07) ao mesmo
tempo, pois isso impedirá que o ajuste da alça seja realizado.

Uso
Antes de usar o equipamento, leia atentamente o manual de uso e manutenção.
Verifique se a tensão elétrica indicada no equipamento é compatível com a da rede elétrica local.
Verifique as lâminas e certifique-se de que estejam em condições de uso. As lâminas devem estar
sempre afiadas a fim de evitar sobrecarga do equipamento. Danos causados por lâminas sem fio de
corte não são cobertos pela garantia.
Os interruptores dianteiro e traseiro não devem ficar acionados, eles devem desligar o motor quando
um deles for desacionado. Se um dos interruptores estiver danificado, pare de utilizar o equipamento
imediatamente.
Para não danificar o seu podador, antes de iniciar o corte, inspecione o local onde o podador será
utilizado e remova todos os objetos estranhos como arames, talos de plantas, etc.
1) Primeiro corte os dois lados, e a seguir, corte o lado superior da cerca-viva.
2) Para obter um corte uniforme nas laterais, corte de baixo para cima ao longo da linha de crescimento.
Cortar de cima para baixo faz com que pequenos ramos caiam na área de corte, atrapalhando o
trabalho e podendo causar deformações ou buracos na cerca-viva.
3) Para conseguir um corte uniforme no lado superior, estenda uma linha de prumo ao longo da
cerca-viva na altura desejada.
4) Tome cuidado para não cortar objetos que possam danificar as lâminas ou o motor, como fios ou
arames.
5) Em caso de bloqueio por algum objeto estranho, desligue o equipamento imediatamente,
desconecte-o da tomada e verifique as lâminas de corte.
6) Defina a direção de corte antes de iniciar o trabalho. Certifique-se de que o cabo de alimentação é
mantido bem longe da área de trabalho. Nunca coloque o cabo por cima da cerca-viva onde haja perigo
de ser atingido pelas lâminas do podador.
7) Não force o podador durante a operação.

Ligar e desligar o podador
Mantenha o podador sempre à sua frente. Segure com firmeza utilizando ambas as mãos e
posicione-se de forma segura e estável.
Ligar: Pressione e segure o interruptor traseiro 1 (Fig. 09), e acione o interruptor dianteiro 2 (Fig. 09).
Desligar: Libere qualquer um dos interruptores 1 ou 2.
Desligue imediatamente o equipamento da tomada se o cabo estiver danificado, torcido ou
cortado.
Aplicação
O equipamento é indicado para cortar e aparar cercas-vivas, arbustos ornamentais em jardins
domésticos e outros. Qualquer outro uso que não seja explicitamente recomendado neste manual
de instruções pode resultar em danos ao equipamento e representam um sério perigo para o usuário.
O equipamento foi projetado para ser usado por adultos. Não utilize o equipamento na chuva ou
em arbustos úmidos. O fabricante não se responsabiliza por eventuais danos causados pelo uso
inadequado ou operação incorreta do equipamento.
O podador corta ramos de até 16 mm de espessura. Corte gradual e suavemente para garantir um
corte uniforme. As lâminas têm dois lados de corte e cortam em ambos os sentidos.

MANUTENÇÃO
1) Mantenha todas as porcas e parafusos apertados para certificar-se de que o podador de cerca-viva
esteja sempre em boas condições de uso.
2) Verifique se o protetor de mãos está em bom estado e ajustado corretamente. Por questões de
segurança, substitua as partes danificadas ou desgastadas.
3) Não utilize o podador se as lâminas estiverem sem fio ou danificadas, pois isso causará uma
sobrecarga no motor.
Manutenção das lâminas
1) Sempre use luvas ao manusear e limpar as lâminas de corte.
2) Limpe as lâminas de corte após cada utilização e as mantenha sempre lubrificadas. Durante os
trabalhos mais longos, recomendamos a lubrificação periódica da lâmina de corte, utilizando um spray
lubrificante.
3) Inspecione o estado do fio de corte das lâminas. Verifique se os parafusos da lâmina estão bem
apertados.
Limpeza e armazenamento
1) Limpe cuidadosamente a parte externa do equipamento após cada utilização com uma escova
macia e um pano. Nunca utilize água, solventes ou cera. Remova toda a sujeira, arbustos e etc.
2) Certifique-se de que as lâminas estejam cobertas com a proteção das lâminas fornecida com o
equipamento.
3) Guarde o equipamento em um lugar seco e seguro, fora do alcance das crianças. Não coloque outros
objetos em cima do podador.
SOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS
Não liga
• Verifique a tomada, o cabo, a extensão elétrica e o plugue; caso esteja danificado procure um
eletricista especializado para o conserto.
• Caso qualquer uma das peças esteja danificada (ex. interruptor liga/desliga, motor, etc.), entre em
contato com a Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
As lâminas de corte param durante o funcionamento
• Um dos interruptores da alça (dianteira ou traseira) está com defeito. Entre em contato com a
Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
• O cabo de alimentação está danificado. Entre em contato com a Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
• Perda interna de conexão elétrica. Entre em contato com a Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
• Interruptor Liga/Desliga está com defeito. Entre em contato com a Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
O motor funciona mas as lâminas não se movimentam
• Falha interna. Entre em contato com a Assistência Técnica Autorizada.

A lâmina não está cortando ou funcionando
• Lâmina de corte sem fio: afie a lâmina.
• Lâmina de corte está amassada. Realizar manutenção na lâmina.
• Muito atrito devido à falta de óleo lubrificante: aplique um spray lubrificante.
Orientações para descarte de resíduos
O descarte incorreto de resíduos sólidos pode trazer sérios danos ao meio ambiente, tais como
contaminação do solo e da água. Por isso, estes devem ser separados e destinados corretamente. Os
resíduos que podem ser reciclados devem ser enviados para reciclagem.
NORMAS BÁSICAS DE SEGURANÇA
Antes de utilizar o equipamento, familiarize-se com todos os componentes operacionais. Manuseie o
equipamento e receba instruções sobre função, operação e métodos de trabalho de um especialista ou
usuário experiente. Certifique-se de que o equipamento possa ser desligado imediatamente em caso
de emergência. O uso inadequado deste equipamento pode resultar em ferimentos graves.
1) Este equipamento não deve ser utilizado por crianças nem por pessoas com capacidades físicas,
sensoriais ou mentais reduzidas ou falta de experiência e conhecimento do equipamento. Observe as
leis e regulamentos locais que determinam a idade mínima para o uso.
2) Não deixe ninguém tocar no equipamento ou na extensão elétrica. Mantenha o equipamento
afastado de pessoas, especialmente crianças, e de animais domésticos. Interrompa o trabalho assim
que observar pessoas se aproximando. Mantenha uma distância de segurança de 3 metros em torno
de si.
3) Inspecione cuidadosamente a área a ser aparada e remova do local todos os fios ou outros objetos
estranhos.
4) Vista-se de maneira adequada e use equipamento de proteção individual (EPIs). Utilize também:
óculos de segurança, proteção auricular, botas ou calçado resistente com sola antiderrapante, calças
longas e luvas de trabalho.
5) Não use roupas soltas ou joias, pois podem se enganchar nas partes móveis do equipamento. Não
opere o equipamento quando estiver descalço ou usando sandálias ou chinelos.
6) Sempre manuseie o equipamento utilizando as duas mãos.
7) Antes de ligar o equipamento, certifique-se que não esteja em contato com nenhum outro objeto.
Desligue o equipamento antes de se mudar para outra área de trabalho.
8) Não opere o podador de cerca-viva quando estiver cansado, distraído, sob influência de bebidas
alcoólicas ou drogas. Trabalhe em um ritmo razoável e faça pausas regulares.
9) Não opere o equipamento na chuva, sob mau tempo ou em cercas-vivas úmidas. Trabalhe somente
com boa iluminação.
10) Não utilize o equipamento se estiver danificado, incompleto ou tenha sido alterado sem a
aprovação do fabricante. Nunca utilize o podador se o equipamento de proteção estiver danificado.
Antes do uso, verifique o estado de segurança do equipamento, especialmente o cabo elétrico, os
interruptores e a capa protetora.
11) Somente utilize o equipamento se todos os dispositivos de segurança estiverem posicionados
corretamente.

12) Antes de utilizar o equipamento, verifique se os componentes de corte (ex. lâminas de corte e
parafusos) estão funcionando corretamente e se não há vestígios de desgaste ou deterioração. Somente
opere o podador com o equipamento de corte intacto.
13) Use somente peças de reposição e acessórios fornecidos e recomendados pelo fabricante.
14) Não opere o podador em atmosferas explosivas, como na presença de líquidos inflamáveis, gases
ou poeira.
15) Não exponha o equipamento à umidade. O produto não pode ficar exposto à umidade nem ser
operado em um ambiente úmido.
16) Nunca segure o podador pelas lâminas de corte ou dispositivos de segurança. Não transporte o
equipamento com o dedo no interruptor Liga/Desliga quando este estiver conectado à rede elétrica.
17) Não tente consertar este equipamento sozinho. Procure sempre um técnico autorizado e, se
necessário, leve-o à Assistência Técnica Autorizada.
18) Antes de cada uso, inspecione o equipamento à procura de danos no cabo de alimentação e no
plugue, evitando o contato do corpo com partes aterradas (por exemplo, cercas metálicas, postes de
metal).
19) Para uma maior segurança, recomenda-se que o equipamento seja alimentado a partir de uma
rede elétrica em conformidade com a NBR 5410, que pede a existência do dispositivo de corrente
residual (RCD), com um ajuste de corrente menor do que 30 mA. A função do dispositivo é proteger o
usuário contra riscos de choque elétrico (consulte um eletricista).
20) O operador ou usuário é responsável por acidentes ou riscos a outras pessoas em sua propriedade.
21) Assegure-se de que o protetor da lâmina esteja colocado para realizar o transporte ou
armazenamento.
22) Guarde o equipamento em um local seco e fora do alcance das crianças.
23) Não force o seu equipamento. Utilize o podador somente dentro das condições indicadas. Para
trabalho pesado, não utilize o equipamento com potência insuficiente. Não utilize o equipamento para
qualquer outro propósito que não o especificado.
TERMOS DE GARANTIA
• A TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. oferece garantia a este produto por ela comercializado contra qualquer
defeito de fabricação pelo período total de 12 (doze) meses, sendo 09 (nove) meses de garantia
contratual e 90 (noventa) dias de garantia legal, conforme estabelece o artigo 26 do Código de
Defesa do Consumidor.
• O prazo de contagem da garantia inicia-se com a emissão da Nota Fiscal de venda do equipamento,
que deverá ser anexada ao presente termo, sendo que a garantia será válida somente mediante
apresentação da nota fiscal de compra.
• Dentro do prazo total de 12 meses, a TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. compromete-se a reparar ou
substituir gratuitamente as peças que, em condições normais de uso e manutenção e, segundo
avaliação técnica, apresentem defeito de fabricação.

WARNING
• Read the user and maintenance manual.
• Before turning on the equipment, check if the hedge trimmer’s electric tension is set in
accordance with the local electrical tension.
• Never work with the hedge trimmer under the rain or on wet grasses.
• The caliber of the electric cable must be in accordance with the table 1 “Power cord gauge”
in this manual.

ASSEMBLY
Pull out the power plug before carrying out any work on the equipment, and use only original parts.
Fit the front handle guard (Fig. 1, page 04)
Fit the front handle guard with two bolts (Fig. 2, page 04). Ensure that it is tight enough.
Do not use the equipment without the handle guard. Wear suitable clothing and work
gloves when working with the equipment.
Extension cable
1) For tension relief of the cable, form a loop of the end of the extension cable (Fig. 03, page04), and
bring this through the opening at the handle (Fig. 04, page04), and suspend in the hook at the grip
(Fig. 05, page 04).
2) Connect the extension cable with the mains cable.
3) Connect the main voltage with the extension cable.
Power indicator
The power indicator (Fig. 06, page 05) is lighting up when the plug is connected with the power. If the
light goes out, please check if the mains cable or the extension cable is plugged in or not.
Adjusting the rear handle
The PE50 trimmer is equipped with an adjustable rear handle. The handle can be set to four positions
in addition to the default position. Simply select the position with which you are most comfortable
working. For example, the handle can be turned 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise for cutting up or down.
The 45° setting is ideal for shaping and round cuts.
Pressing the release button 1 (Fig. 07, page 05) will allow you to twist the handle clockwise or anti-
clockwise to 45° or to 90° (Fig. 08, page 06), where you will hear it automatically click into place after
releasing the button. The handle can be set only with the unit switched off.
Do not press the release button 1 (Fig. 07, page 05) and the rear handle switch lever 2
(Fig. 07, page 05) at the same time, as this will prevent you front being able to set the handle.
Form of usage
Read the user and maintenance manual.
Ensure that the mains voltage matches the information of the label.
Check that the blades are sharp. Ensure that the blades are sharpened whenever blunt, in order to
avoid overstressing of the machine. Damages caused by cutting with blunt blades are not covered
by the guarantee. The On/Off switch and the safety switch must not be held closed. They must switch
off the motor when one is released. Should a switch be damaged, stop working with the equipment.
Ensure that the mains voltage value matches the label on the equipment.

1) Trim first the sides then the top of the hedge.
2) To achieve an even cut on the sides, cut from bottom to top along the line of growth. Cutting from
top to bottom causes small branches to splay, producing thin patches or holes.
3) To achieve an even cut on the top, extend a plumb line along the length of the hedge at the desired
height.
4) Take care not to cut through objects like wires that might damage the blades or motor.
5) Switch off the equipment immediately in the event that the blades are blocked by solid objects, pull
out the power plug then remove the object.
6) Always work away from the mains power outlet. Set the cutting direction before starting work.
Ensure that the power cable is kept well away from the working area. Never lay the cable over the
hedge, where it could easily be caught up in the trimmer blades.
7) Avoid overstraining the equipment during work.

Starting and stopping
Hold the hedge trimmer away from yourself using both hands. Stand in a secure and stable
position.
Starting: Press and hold the rear handle switch lever 1 (Fig. 09, page 07). Squeeze the front handle switch
lever 2 (Fig. 09, page 07).
Stopping: Release any of the switch levers 1 and 2 (Fig. 09, page 07).
Pull out the power plug immediately if the cable is damaged, badly twisted or has been
completely cut through.
Intended use
The equipment is specified for use only for the cutting and trimming of hedges, bushes and ornamental
shrubs in the private environment. Any other use that is not explicitly approved in these instructions
may result in damage to the equipment and represent a serious danger to the user. The equipment is
designed for use by adults. Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain or on wet hedges.The manufacturer
is not liable for damages caused by unspecified use or incorrect operation.

MAINTENANCE
1) Check over obvious defects such as loose, dislodged or damaged blade, loose fixings and worn or
damaged components.
2) Check that the guards are undamaged and correctly fitted. Carry out necessary maintenance or
repairs before using.
3) Do not use the unit if the blades are blunt or worn. This will overstress the motor and gearbox of
the machine.
Blade maintenance
1) Wear gloves when handing or cleaning the cutting blade.
2) Always clean the cutting blade after operation and lubricate with protective spray. During longer
cutting jobs, we recommend periodically lubricating the cutting blade with protective spray.
3) Visually check the condition of the cutting edges of the cutting blade. Check tightness of blade bolts.
Ensure that the blade is covered with the blade protection supplied.
Cleaning and storage
1) Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using a soft brush and cloth after each use. Do not use
water, solvents or polishes. Remove all debris etc.
2) Store the machine in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.
3) Do not place other objects on top of the machine.
TROUBLESHOOTING
No power
• Check the plug socket, cable, line and plug; where appropriate, have repaired through electrical
specialist.
• Any of the parts are defective, such as On/Off switch, motor etc. Please contact an authorized service
centre.
The hedge trimmer operates intermittently
• Any of the two handle switches is defective. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• Power cable is damaged. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• Internal loose of electrical connection. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• On/Off switch defective. Please contact an authorized service centre.
Motor runs but blades remain stationary
• Internal fault. Please contact an authorized service centre.
The blade is not working
• Cutting blade blunt: Have blade sharpened.
• Cutting blade has dents. Have blade overhauled.
• Too much friction due to lack of lubricant. Apply lubricant spray.

Waste disposal and environmental protection
Be environmentally friendly. Return the tool, accessories and packaging to a recycling centre when you
have finished with them. Electrical machines do not belong in domestic waste. Take the equipment to
a waste disposal site. The plastic and metal parts that are used can be separated out into pure grade,

BASIC SAFETY RULES
Before working with the equipment, familiarize yourself with all operating components. Practice
handing the equipment and have the function, operation and working methods explained to you
by an experienced user or specialist. Ensure that you can shut off the equipment immediately in an
emergency. Inappropriate use of the device may result in serious injury.
1) The equipment is not to be used by children. Equally, it is prohibited for persons with incomplete
knowledge of the operating instructions to work with the device. Laws and local regulations may
determine a minimum age for use.
2) Allow no-one else to touch the equipment or the extension cord. Keep the equipment away from
people, particularly children, and domestic animals. Interrupt work if people come near. Maintain a
safety distance of 3 m around yourself.
3) Carefully inspect the area to be cut and remove all wires or other foreign bodies.
4) Use suitable working clothes and personal protective equipment! Protective goggles or eye
protection, ear protection, boots or shoes with anti-slip soles and robust, long trousers as well as
working gloves are to be worn as standard.
5) Do not wear long clothing or jewellery, as these may become caught in moving parts. Do not
operate the equipment barefoot or when wearing open sandals.
6) Always guide the equipment with both hands.
7) Before switching on the equipment, ensure that it is in contact with no other objects. Switch off the
equipment before moving to another working area.
8) Do not operate the equipment when tired or after taking alcohol or medication. Always take breaks
in time. Work at a reasonable pace.
9) Do not work in rain, bad weather or in a damp environment. Work only if good lighting is available.
Do not work with equipment that is damaged, incomplete or has been altered without the approval
of the manufacturer.
10) Never use the equipment with defective protective equipment. Before use, check the safety status
of the equipment, particularly the power cable, switch and protective cover.
11) Use the equipment only if all safety devices are in place.
12) Before use, check that the parts of the cutting equipment, e.g. such as knives or blade bolts
are functioning correctly, not sticking and not damaged or severely worn. Work only with cutting
equipment that is intact.
13) Use only spare parts and accessories supplied and recommended by the manufacturer.
14) Do not use the equipment near flammable liquids or gases. In case of non-observance, there is a
risk of fire of explosion.
15) Protect the equipment against humidity. The equipment must not become damp and is not to be
operated in a damp environment.

16) Never hold the equipment by the cutter bar and never hold the equipment by the safety device.
Do not carry the equipment with your finger on the On/Off switch when it is connected to the mains.
17) Do not attempt to repair the equipment yourself. All work not indicated in these instructions is to
be carried out only by service stations authorized by us.
18) Before each use, check the equipment, power cable and plug for damage, avoiding body contact
with grounded parts (e.g. metal fences, metal posts).
19) To ensure safety, this product must be used with a power source that which requires a ground
fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), with a rated current of less than 30 mA. The purpose of this device is to
protect the user from the risk of electrical shock (consult an electrician).
20) The operator or user is responsible for accidents or damages to other people or their property.
21) Always use the blade protection when transporting or during storage.
22) Store the equipment in a dry location and out of the reach of children.
23) Do not overload your equipment. Work only within the indicated range of performance. For heavy
work, do not use a machine with insufficient power. Do not use your equipment for purposes other
than those specified.
WARRANTY
• TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. guarantees this product against any manufacturing defect for a period
of 12 (twelve) months, of which 9 (nine) months are contractual warranty and 90 (ninety) days are
legal warranty, according to article 26 of the Consumer Protection Code. The period of this warranty
dates from the date of emission of the equipment sales receipt, which should be attached to this
agreement, with the warranty only being valid on presentation of the sales receipt.
• Within a total period of 12 months, TRAMONTINA MULTI S.A. undertakes to repair or replace parts
free of charge which according to technical assessment display manufacturing defects under normal
conditions of use and maintenance.
• The purchaser is responsible for shipping and packaging costs to the nearest Tramontina Authorised
Service provider.
• The purchaser is responsible for the equipment’s necessary periodical inspection, maintenance and
cleaning, and also for observing all the care requirements in the user’s manual.
The following are not covered by warranty:
• Damage caused by not following the guidance in this manual.
• Damage caused by improper use, such as: motor overload, electrical tension different from the one
specified in the equipment, use of the equipment without protective skirt, lack of maintenance and
improper use of the equipment.
• Parts damaged by natural wear, accident, incorrect use and maintenance of the equipment or
operator misuse.
