3-2 Inserting a microSD Memory Card
You must insert a microSD memory card into the cameras before you can start recording. Please
use a microSD memory card with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB or 256GB capacity (Class 10 or above).
1. Insert a microSD memory card into the appropriate card slot on the left-hand side of the
cameras.
Note: Always format new memory cards in the DrivePro before using them for the first time.
To format a new memory card, press the Settings button during recording, and select
Format Card.
Format your memory card on a regular basis. For the best recording stability, you are
encouraged to format the microSD card regularly. DrivePro will send you a notification every
three months as a reminder. Upon receipt, press to begin formatting immediately;
press to resume without taking action. Notice: Formatting will erase all data on
the memory card.
WARNING: DrivePro 620 can only support FAT32 and exFAT file format, but not
NTFS.
2. To remove, push to eject the memory card out of the slot.
WARNING: Do not remove the memory card during a shutdown to avoid damages
to the memory card and loss of recorded videos

3-3 Mounting the DrivePro
1. Insert the mount bracket into the top of the cameras, and slide sideways until you hear a click.
2. Thoroughly clean and dry the area of the windshield you wish to mount the DrivePro. If
possible, mount the front camera in the middle of the windshield, near the rear-view mirror
for the best field of view.
3. For the front camera, press down the lever bar of the suction mount, and firmly attach the
camera to the windshield. For the rear camera, peel off the protective film from the
adhesive mount, and firmly attach the camera to the windshield or the rear-view mirror.
4. Turn the adjustment knob anticlockwise to loosen, and then adjust the DrivePro’s position.

5. After the DrivePro is in the best position, turn the adjustment knob clockwise to make sure
that the DrivePro is securely locked in place.
3-4 Connecting to Power
Note: Insert a microSD memory card before connecting the DrivePro to your car power
outlet. Transcend recommends having an experienced installer with proper knowledge of
the vehicle install the device to ensure your safety. Transcend assumes no responsibility
for any damage to vehicles in connection with an improper installation.
1. Connect the 4m micro USB cable to the front dashcam, and 8m cable to the rear dashcam.
2. Connect the Type-A connector to the dual USB car charger, and plug the car charger into
your car power outlet.
3. Hide the cable along the headliner, windshield, trims, or rubber. Keep the cable out of
eyesight and tidy. Transcend recommends having an experienced installer with proper
knowledge of the vehicle install the device to ensure your safety.

4. After the car engine is switched on, the DrivePro will automatically turn on and start
recording.
5. After the car engine is switched off, the DrivePro will automatically save the current
recording, and power it off.
Note:
Car power outlets of some types of vehicles will still supply power after the car engine is
turned off. If your car is of this type, please unplug your dashcam from the car power
outlet to avoid unnecessary power consumption and unexpected issues.
3-5 Initial Pairing Setup
The front and rear cameras must be paired up for synchronized functions.
1. Connect the cameras to the power supply and turn them on.
2. On the rear camera, orange and blue lights will flash while pairing. An orange light will flash
when pairing is complete. Press OK on the front camera screen.
3. Accept the pairing by pressing Confirm.
4. The front camera will enter recording mode. Pairing is complete when appears on
the screen.
Note: While the two cameras are pairing, the recording will still carry on.

3-8 Setting the Date and Time
To set the current date and time:
1. During video recording, press the Settings button .
2. Use / to select Date/Time Settings, and press .

3. Use / to adjust values, and press to move to the next block.
4. Repeat step 3 above until the date and time settings are complete.
3-9 Setting UTC Timezone
To ensure the accuracy of GPS data:
1. During video recording, press the Settings button .
2. Use / to select UTC, and press .
3. Use / to adjust values, and press .
Note: The date/time/UTC timezone settings set in the DrivePro 250 will be synchronized with the
DrivePro10.

After the car engine is switched on, the DrivePro will automatically turn on and start recording.
By default, one video file is saved for every 1 minute of recording. To adjust the recording length,
please refer to the Settings section in this manual.
After the car engine is switched off, the DrivePro will automatically save the current recording and
power it off.
Note: Car power outlets of some types of vehicles will still supply power after the car engine is
turned off. If your car is of this type, please unplug your car video recorder from the car
power outlet to avoid unnecessary power consumption and unexpected issues.
4-2Emergency Recording
30% of the storage space will be saved for emergency video files. Video files recorded in
emergency mode are protected from being overwritten.
Manual Emergency Recording: During video recording, press the emergency button on the
left-hand side of the front dashcam to manually activate emergency recording mode. The rear
camera will also enter the emergency recording automatically, with orange light flashing quickly.

G-Sensor Emergency Recording: During video recording, the DrivePro will automatically activate
Emergency Recording mode when detecting a collision.
If the G-Sensor sensitivity is set to “High”, even minor shocks will activate Emergency
Recording mode.
If the G-Sensor sensitivity is set to “Low”, only significant shocks will activate Emergency
Recording mode.
G-Sensor sensitivity can be adjusted or disabled in the Settings menu.
Note: The earliest emergency file will be overwritten by the latest emergency file recorded.
4-3 Parking Mode Recording
After the car engine is switched off, the DrivePro can automatically enter Parking mode and record
footage when motion or collision is detected. Parking mode is disabled by default and can be
enabled in Settings.
Note: After the car engine is switched off, enabling Parking mode will drain the DrivePro’s built-in
battery.
During Parking mode, the LCD display will turn off; the LED indicator will be solid red on standby.
When a motion or collision of the vehicle is detected, the DrivePro will record footage of about 15
seconds; the display will turn on and the LED will flash red. The display will turn off again if no more
motion/collision is detected in about 15 seconds. The DrivePro will resume Normal Recording
mode when the engine is switched on again (connected to power).
Transcend’s car lighter adapter does not supply power after the engine is switched off. If long-term
recording in Parking mode is required, please use an external power supply. Enter the Parking mode
manually by long-pressing the button during video recording. To power off the DrivePro,
long-press the button again.
Low Battery
Please charge the DrivePro immediately after the Low Battery warning is shown onscreen to avoid
errors happening to the system time. Please avoid using the built-in battery to record videos
directly.

5. Browsing Photos and Playing Videos
5-1 Playing Videos / Browsing Photos
1. During video recording, press the Browse button .
2. Use / to select either Normal, Emergency or Snapshot, and press .
3. Use / to select the desired video file, and press .
4. Press to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
5. Press to return to the video file list.

5-2 Deleting Videos
1. During playback of a video file, press . The message, “Delete?” will pop up.
2. Use / to select “Yes,” and press to delete the file.
5-3 Protecting Videos
1. During playback of a normal video file, press . The message, “Lock?”, will pop up.
2. Use / to select “Yes,” and press to protect the file.
Note: The browsing, playing, deleting and protecting recorded files on the DrivePro 250 can only be
applied to footage/photos recorded by the DrivePro 250. If you intend to do the operations on the
footage/photos recorded by the DrivePro 10, the DrivePro App should be used instead.

6. Settings
In the Settings menu, you can adjust settings of video resolution, recording time and G-Sensor
sensitivity. You can also set the date/time/time zone, change the interface language, format the
memory card, and upgrade firmware. Some settings automatically apply to the DrivePro 10
(indicated by *) while some don’t. The DrivePro App should be used to adjust the settings for the
DrivePro 10.
1. During video recording, press the Settings button .
2. Use / to select the desired menu option, and press .
3. Use / to select the desired setting, and press .
4. Press to return to the Settings menu.

Note: To prevent the car battery from being completely drained,
the DrivePro will automatically power off after 48 consecutive
hours of recording in Time-Lapse Video mode.
