Troubleshooting
1. After connecting the Switch to a power outlet, the LEDs do not turn on.
1. Che k the onne tion of the power ord to the TEG-S16g/TEG-S24g and the
power outlet.
2. Che k that the power outlet is re eiving power.
2. When I connect a computer to one of the ports on the Switch, the
10M/LINK/ACT LED turns on, but I am not getting Gigabit speeds.
1. Che k the LEDs. If the 100M/1000M LED is green, the omputer's onne tion
speed is 1000Mbps. If the 100M/1000M LED is amber, the omputer's
onne tion speed is 100Mbps. If the 100M/1000M LED is off, the omputer's
onne tion speed is 10Mbps.
2. Che k the Ethernet Cable. Make sure you are using CAT-5e or CAT-6 Ethernet
Cables. Some CAT-5 ables are not rated to run in Gigabit.
3. Make sure that you have a Gigabit Ethernet Adapter installed on your omputer.
3. After I connect my PCs to the Switch, I am unable to share files.
1. Che k the LEDs on the Swit h. Make sure the 10M/LINK/ACT LED is on.
2. Che k the network able. The minimum length of the able is 1.5 meters and
the maximum length of the able is 100 meters.
3. Disable any software firewall program.
4. Verify that you have file sharing enabled. Please onta t your Operating
System support for more information.
4. After I connect my PCs to the Switch, I can only get onto the Internet from one
computer.
The Swit h was not designed to share Internet between multiple omputers. You
need to get an Internet router su h as the TEW-652BRP.
5. Where is the uplink port located on the Switch?
Sin e all the ports on the Swit h are Auto-MDIX, any of the ports an be used as
an uplink port.

Limited Warranty
TRENDnet warrants its produ ts against defe ts in material and workmanship, under normal
use and servi e, for the following lengths of time from the date of pur hase.
TEG-S16g/TEG-S24g - 3 Years Limited Warranty
AC/DC Power Adapter, Cooling Fan and Power Supply carry a 1 year limited warranty
If a produ t does not operate as warranted during the appli able warranty period, TRENDnet
shall reserve the right, at its expense, to repair or repla e the defe tive produ t or part and
deliver an equivalent produ t or part to the ustomer. The repair/repla ement unit's warranty
ontinues from the original date of pur hase. All produ ts that are repla ed be ome the
property of TRENDnet. Repla ement produ ts may be new or re onditioned. TRENDnet
does not issue refunds or redit. Please onta t the point-of-pur hase for their return poli ies.
TRENDnet shall not be responsible for any software, firmware, information, or memory data of
ustomer ontained in, stored on, or integrated with any produ ts returned to TRENDnet
pursuant to any warranty.
There are no user servi eable parts inside the produ t. Do not remove or attempt to servi e the
produ t by any unauthorized servi e enter. This warranty is voided if (i) the produ t has been
modified or repaired by any unauthorized servi e enter, (ii) the produ t was subje t to a ident,
abuse, or improper use (iii) the produ t was subje t to onditions more severe than those
spe ified in the manual.
Warranty servi e may be obtained by onta ting TRENDnet within the appli able warranty
period and providing a opy of the dated proof of the pur hase. Upon proper submission of
required do umentation a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number will be issued. An RMA
number is required in order to initiate warranty servi e support for all TRENDnet produ ts.
Produ ts that are sent to TRENDnet for RMA servi e must have the RMA number marked on the
outside of return pa kages and sent to TRENDnet prepaid, insured and pa kaged appropriately
for safe shipment. Customers shipping from outside of the USA and Canada are responsible for
return shipping fees. Customers shipping from outside of the USA are responsible for ustom
harges, in luding but not limited to, duty, tax, and other fees.

WARRANTED ABOVE, THE CUSTOMER'S SOLE REMEDY SHALL BE, AT TRENDNET'S

FOR IT ANY OTHER LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE, INSTALLATION
MAINTENANCE OR USE OF TRENDNET'S PRODUCTS.
TRENDNET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY IF ITS TESTING AND
EXAMINATION DISCLOSE THAT THE ALLEGED DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT DOES NOT
EXIST OR WAS CAUSED BY CUSTOMER'S OR ANY THIRD PERSON'S MISUSE, NEGLECT,
IMPROPER INSTALLATION OR TESTING, UNAUTHORIZED ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR OR
MODIFY, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE BEYOND THE RANGE OF THE INTENDED USE, OR BY
ACCIDENT, FIRE, LIGHTNING, OR OTHER HAZARD.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: TO THE FULL EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW TRENDNET ALSO
EXCLUDES FOR ITSELF AND ITS SUPPLIERS ANY LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED IN
CONTRACT OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, OR FOR LOSS OF REVENUE
OR PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF INFORMATION OR DATE, OR OTHER
