Filling the blender jug
Pull the measuring cap 1upwards out of the
lid 2.
Remove the lid 2from the blender jug 4by
turning it anticlockwise until you can lift it off.
Peel fruit and vegetables and remove any
stems, stalks and cores. Larger pieces of food
should be cut into small cubes (approx. 2 to
3 cm) before mixing.
Fill the blender jug 4with the food and add a
little liquid (e.g. water or juice) in advance. The
proportions of food and liquid should have a
ratio of 2:3. Never go beyond the 1.5 L mark-
ing on the scale 9on the blender jug 4(see
Fig. A).
IMPORTANT: Never fill the blender jug 4
with boiling liquids or very hot foods (max.
70°C)! Allow the food and liquid to cool down
first before you put it in the blender jug 4.
Place the lid 2firmly on the blender jug 4
and lock it by turning it clockwise until it audibly
clicks into place (see Fig. C). Be sure the pour-
ing lip on the blender jug 4is closed tightly.
Press the measuring cap 1all the way into
the lid opening.
Ensure that the blender jug 4is correctly fixed
to the motor 7(see Fig. D).
Note: The motor can only start if the lid 2
and blender jug 4are correctly attached.
Choosing a speed setting
Fill the blender jug (see section “Filling the
blender jug”).
Ensure that the rotary switch 6is set to the
0position 6b and plug the mains plug into a
properly installed power socket.
Turn the rotary switch 6to speed setting 1 6c
to mix and puree liquid or moderately firm
food.
Turn the rotary switch 6to speed setting 2 6d
to chop firmer food.
Turn the rotary switch 6to the 0position 6b
when the food has reached the desired consist-
ency. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket.
Tip: Start with speed setting 1 6c first and in-
crease the speed later by turning the rotary
switch 6to speed setting 2 6d .
Using the pulse function
The product is fitted with a pulse function. The
pulse function means short-term function at full
power. When using the pulse function, the
maximum speed is available to you immedi-
ately. The pulse function is suitable for when
you want to mix something just briefly but inten-
sively (e.g. foaming liquids or crushing ice).
Turn the rotary switch 6to the Pposition
(pulse function) 6a for a short, powerful,
pulsed operation, to crush ice (max. 6 ice
cubes (max. 180g)), for example.
Note: The rotary switch 6does not lock in
place in the Pfunction (pulse function) 6a to
prevent overloading the motor. Hold the rotary
switch 6securely in this position for a few
seconds and then turn the rotary switch 6
back to the 0position 6b . Repeat the process
several times if necessary until the desired con-
sistency is achieved.
Note: Always keep one hand securely on the
lid 2when crushing ice cubes.
Turn the rotary switch 6to the 0position 6b
when the food has reached the desired consist-
ency. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket.
Tip: The product’s pulse function is suitable for
dicing and pureeing nuts and almonds (e.g. for
preparing smoothies).
Put approx. 200 g of almonds or nuts in the
blender jug (see section “Filling the blender jug”).
Turn the rotary switch 6to the Pposition
(pulse function) 6a as described above to dice
the almonds or nuts.
