the best possible use of the appliance. This manual includes all the necessary
instructions and advice for using, cleaning and maintaining the appliance. If
you follow these instructions you will be guaranteed of an excellent result, it
saves you time and will avoid problems. We hope you will have a great deal of
pleasure from using this appliance.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the device.
Please keep these instructions, the guarantee certicate, the sales
receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.
• This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person that is
responsible for their safety.
• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold
responsible for the damage.
• To protect children against the dangers of an electrical appliance, please
make sure that you never leave the appliance unattended. Therefore
you have to select a storage place for the appliance where children
are not able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a
downward position.
• This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for
the purpose it is made for.
• The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
• Do not use when the appliance is fallen, if there are any signs of damage
or when it leaks.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Never use the device unsupervised.
• All repairs should be made by a competent qualied electrician(*).
• Make sure that the appliance is stored in a dry environment.
• Only cook consumable food.
• It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times,
because it comes into direct contact with food.
• Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage
of your home. Rated voltage: AC220-240V 50Hz. The socket must be at
least 16 A or 10 A slow-protected.
• This appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic
elds (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this
user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientic evidence
available today.
• The use of accessory that are not recommended by the manufacturer
can cause injuries and will invalidate any warranty that you may have.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord
can not become entangled.
• Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
• Allow the appliance to cool down before you clean or store it.
• To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord,
plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
• Unplug the appliance from the socket when changing the spare parts or
for maintenance.
• Do not use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or when the
appliance has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. To
avoid a hazard make sure that a damaged cord or plug will be replaced
by an authorized technician(*). Do not repair this appliance yourself.

• Do not use this appliance near direct heat sources.
• Unplug the appliance from the socket when you are not using it.
• Note: To avoid danger by accidental resetting the thermal protection,
this appliance may not be powered through an external switching
device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that regularly will be
switched on or o.
• Using an extension cord or something similar is not allowed.
• Allow the device to cool down before you are going to remove or
replace spare parts.
• Make sure that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or
counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or is coming directly into
contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Do not place the appliance
underneath or close to curtains, window coverings etc.
• We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the
appliance (this way you don't get burns on your table or table cloth).
• Be careful with oil and fat preparations, because they might catch re by
overheating. Provide proper ventilation when using the appliance.
• Caution: do not, under any circumstances, cover the grill rack with
aluminum foil, barbecue dishes or other items, as the resulting build-up
of heat could destroy the grill.
• Do not, under any circumstances, use charcoal or any other solid or
liquid fuel to operate the grill.
(*) Competent qualied electrician: after sales department of the producer
or importer or any person who is qualied, approved and competent to
perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you
should return the appliance to this electrician.

Barbecue-grill
Place the stand feet (10A) into the
stand base (10B) properly. You will
hear a“click”sound when the foot
is xed well.
Place the washer (16) onto the
stand base and install the screws
(17) into the washer to x the
stand feet and stand base rmly.
Turn half of the threaded rod (a) in
the lower tube (9), put the decorative
ring (8) on the lower tube (9) and
assemble both tubes together;
ensure that they are xed well.
Connect the grill stand base (10)
and the lower tube (9) together to
form the complete grill stand. The
grill can be used with or without
this stand.
Install the screw (b) into upper
tube (7) and put the condiment
tray on the upper tube. Make sure
that the tray is xed well.
Place the bowl-shaped base of the
appliance (5) onto the grill stand.
Make sure that the grill stand is
placed on a dry at, stable surface.
Put the grease tray (4) into the
appropriate slot in the base of the
appliance. The grease tray can be
lled with some water to make it
easier to clean.
Place the hood (1) into the base.
Position the hood as a wind
breaker when you use the grill in
the open air.
Push the detachable thermostat
(13) as far as it will go into the
grill’s appliance socket.
Place the grill plate (3) on the base
of the appliance (5). First of all insert
the appliance socket (15) into the
appropriate opening in the base (12),
then place the grill plate horizontally
on the appliance base.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST
TIME
• Remove all the packaging materials and wash the grill plate (3), grease
tray (4) and hood (1) thoroughly. The grill plate and the grease tray are
both dishwasher safe.
Important: Dry all the dierent parts thoroughly, especially the appliance
socket. (15). Never immerse the adjustable thermostat on detachable cord
(13) in water or any other liquid.
• Heat the grill to its maximum setting for about 10 minutes, with the
hood closed and without putting any food on it. Residues left from the
manufacturing process may cause some smell and smoke when the
appliance is used for the rst time, this is normal and will disappear after
a short time.
OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
• Connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply.
• Set the thermostat (13) to the required temperature level (it usually
takes about 10 minutes to heat up).
• The power indication light (14) will go out as soon as the required
temperature has been reached.
• Place the food to be grilled on the grill plate (3).
COOKING TIMES
The following cooking times are indicative. Dierent times will be required
for dierent weights and sizes of foods to be grilled, and depend on
whether you are grilling with or without the hood.

TIPS FOR GRILLING
• Your meat will be tendered if you marinade it overnight before cooking
(the marinade is always made of oil (to add moistness), vinegar (to
tenderize) and a mixture of seasonings).
• Always use tongs or some form of scoop to turn the grilled food (using a
fork to turn the food will dry it out and damage the non-stick coating).
• Turn meat and sh only once during grilling. Turning the food too often
will lead to dehydration.
• Never cook meat too long.
• In case the cooked food sticks to the grill plate, rub the plate with a
piece of kitchen paper soaked in oil.

CLEANING AND LOOKING AFTER THE APPLIANCE
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply.
• Allow the grill to cool down.
• Take the detachable thermostat (13) out of the appliance socket.
• Clean the grill plate (3) and grease tray (4) with warm washing-up water
and a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool pads, brush or abrasives to
avoid any damages to the non-stick coating.
• Wipe the base of the appliance (5) with a damp cloth. Fat splashes can
be removed with a mild cleaning agent.
• The grill plate has a non-stick coating. Do not scratch this coating
during either the grilling or the cleaning stages.
• Protect the appliance from dust and dirt when not using it for a
prolonged length of time (wrap it in a plastic bag). Store it in a dry place.
GUARANTEE
• Tristar is not liable for damages occurred through:
o In case the appliance has fallen.
o In case the appliance has been technically changed by the owner or
another third party.
o In case of improper use of the appliance.
o In case of normal wear of the appliance.
• By executing repairs the original warranty period of 2 years will not
be extended, nor the right to a complied new warranty. This warranty
is only legal on European soil. This warranty does not overrule the
European directive 1944/44CE.
• Always keep your receipt, without this receipt you can not claim any
form of warranty whatsoever.
• Damage caused by not following the instruction manual will lead to a
void of warranty, if this results in consequential damages Tristar will not
be liable.
• Tristar will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused
by improper use or if the safety instructions are not properly executed.
• Cleaning, as mentioned in this manual, is the only necessary
maintenance for this appliance.
• When the appliance should be repaired, make sure that this will be
performed by an authorized company.
• This appliance may not be amended or changed.
• If problems arise during the 2 years from the date of purchase, which
are covered by the factory warranty, you can go back to the point of
purchase to replace it for a new one.
• For questions or compliances please contact your retailer“point of
purchase.”
• This appliance is covered with a 24 month guarantee starting on the
date of purchase (receipt).
• Only material or manufacturing defects are included in this warranty.
• If you wish to make a claim please return the entire machine in the
original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
• Damage to accessories does not mean automatic free replacement of
the whole appliance. In such cases please contact our hotline. Broken
glass or breakage of plastic parts are always subject to a charge.
• Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing, as well as cleaning,
maintenance or the replacement of these parts are not covered by the
guarantee and hence are to be paid!
• The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.
• After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the
competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing
costs.

apparaat. In deze handleiding vindt u alle benodigde aanwijzingen en adviezen
voor het gebruik, schoonmaak en onderhoud van het apparaat. Als u deze
aanwijzingen volgt, heeft u altijd een uitstekend resultaat, bespaart u tijd en kunt

VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
• Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing aandachtig door voordat u het apparaat voor
het eerst gebruikt. Bewaar de gebruiksaanwijzing, het garantiecerticaat,
de verkoopbon en indien mogelijk de kartonnen doos met de binnenste
verpakking om deze indien nodig later te kunnen raadplegen.

door een geautoriseerd servicecentrum(*) om gevaar te voorkomen.
• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de buurt van directe hittebronnen.
• Haal het stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het apparaat niet gebruikt
wordt.
• Let op: om gevaar te voorkomen door het onbedoeld terugstellen van
de thermische beveiliging mag dit apparaat niet gevoed worden via
een extern schakelapparaat, zoals een timer, of aangesloten zijn op een
circuit dat regelmatig uit en aangezet wordt door het voorwerp.
• Het gebruik van een verlengsnoer of iets dergelijks is niet toegestaan.
• Laat het apparaat afkoelen alvorens onderdelen te verwijderen of te
monteren.
• Laat het snoer niet over de rand van de tafel hangen of tegen hete
oppervlakken. Plaats het product niet onder of dicht bij de gordijnen,
raambekleding enz.
• Zorg dat het snoer niet in aanraking komt met de warme onderdelen
van het apparaat.
• Het is aangeraden een warmtewerende bedekking tussen de tafel en
het toestel te leggen (eveneens om geen sporen tengevolge van de
warmte op uw tafellaken of tafel na te laten).
• Oliën en vetten kunnen in brand vliegen bij oververhitting. Wees dus
zeer voorzichtig. Verlucht de plaats tijdens de werking.
• Let op: dek het grillrooster nooit af met aluminium folie, barbecue
schalen of andere producten. De hitte wordt hierdoor vastgehouden en
kan de barbecue doen smelten.
• Gebruik om gevaar te voorkomen nooit houtskool of andere vaste/
vloeibare stoen in de barbecue.
(*) Bekwame gekwaliceerde dienst: after-sales dienst van de fabrikant of de
invoerder, die erkend en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen
zodat elk gevaar vermeden wordt. Gelieve het toestel bij problemen naar
deze dienst terug te brengen.

VOOR GEBRUIK
Lees voor gebruik de handleiding. De handleiding geeft je advies over
het gebruik, de veiligheid en onderhoud van de barbecue. Bewaar de
handleiding goed en zorg dat deze met het apparaat mee gaat naar
eventuele volgende eigenaars.
• Gebruik het apparaat voor het doel zoals beschreven in deze
handleiding.
• Lees de veiligheidsvoorschriften goed.
• Bewaar de verpakking.

Plaats de voeten (10A) in de basis
van het standaard (10B). Wanneer
u de voet goed in de basis drukt
zult u een klik horen.
Plaats de bevestigingsplaat (16) op
de basis en bevestig deze met de
bijgeleverde schroeven (17).
Draai de helft van het draadeind (a) in
onderste buis (9), plaats de decoratieve
ring (8) op de onderste buis (9) en draai
vervolgens de bovenste buis op het
draadeind; Zorg ervoor dat dit geheel
goed gemonteerd is.
Verbind het standaard (10) met
de buis (9) om zo het complete
standaard te vormen, de barbecue
kan ook zonder deze standaard
gebruikt worden.
Draai de schroef (b) in het daarvoor
bestemde gat in de buis (7) en plaats
het opbergplateau op de buis . Zorg
ervoor dat het opbergplateu goed
vast zit.
Plaat de basis (5) op de standaard.
Zorg ervoor dat de barbecue op
een droge, stabiele en vlakke
ondergrond wordt geplaatst.
Plaats de vetopvangbak (4) in de
daarvoor bestemde gleuf in de
basis. Door de vetopvangbak te
vullen met wat water kunt u deze
gemakkelijk schoonmaken.
Plaats het deksel (1) op de basis.
Plaats het deksel tijdens het
barbecueën op zo een manier dat
deze als windbreker kan fungeren.
Druk de thermostaat in het
apparaat (13) zorg ervoor dat
de thermostaat goed wordt
aangedrukt.
Plaats de grillplaat (3) op de basis
van de barbecue (5). Schuif eerst het
stopcontact van de grillplaat (15)
door de daarvoor bestemde opening
in de basis (12), Plaats vervolgens de
grillplaat horizontaal op de basis.

Gebruiksaanwijzing
VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
• Verwijder alle verpakkingen van het apparaat en was de grillplaat
(3), vetopvangbak (4) en het deksel (1) grondig. De grillplaat en de
vetopvangbak zijn beide vaatwasmachinebestendig.
Belangrijk: droog de onderdelen voor gebruik grondig, in het bijzonder
het stopcontact op de grillplaat (15). Dompel de thermostaat (13) nooit in
het water of andere vloestoen.
• Verwarm de grill zonder voedsel in zijn maximale stand voor 10
minuten, met het deksel gesloten. Tijdens het eerste gebruik kunnen
olieresten die zijn achtergebleven tijdens het productieproces rook en
een onaangename geur verspreiden. Dit is normaal en zal na een korte
periode verdwijnen.
GEBRUIK
• Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
• Stel de thermostaat (13) in op het gewenste niveau.
(het voorverwarmen duurt ongeveer 10 minuten)
• Het indicatielampje (14) zal doven wanneer de barbecue zijn gewenste
temperatuur heeft bereikt.
• Plaats het voedsel op de grillplaat (3).
BAKTIJDEN
De volgende baktijden zijn indicatief. De tijden zijn afhankelijk van het
gewicht en grootte van het te bereiden voedsel en of de barbecue met de
deksel open of dicht grillt.

TIPS VOOR HET GRILLEN
• Laat uw vlees een nacht in de marinade liggen (laat deze marinade
bestaan uit olie (voor het vocht), azijn (voor de malsheid), en een mix
van kruiden).
• Maak altijd gebruik van een tang of een spatel om het vlees de draaien
(met een vork beschadigd u het vlees waardoor het zal uitdrogen).
• Draai het vlees en vis één keer tijdens het grillen. Als u het vlees of vis te
vaak draait zal het uitdrogen).
• Grill het vlees niet te lang.
• Wanneer het voedsel aan de grillplaat blijft plakken, adviseren wij u de
grillplaat in te smeren met olie.

SCHOONMAAK EN ONDERHOUD
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Laat het apparaat volledig afkoelen.
• Neem de thermostaat (13) uit het stopcontact van het apparaat.
• Maak de grillplaat (3) en de vetopvangbak (4) schoon met een warm
sopje en een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen schuursponsjes of agressieve
schoonmaakmiddelen om beschadiging van de grillplaat te voorkomen.
• Maak de basis (5) schoon met een vochtige doek. Vetspatjes kunnen
verwijderd worden met een mild schoonmaakmiddel.
• De grillplaat is voorzien van een antiaanbaklaag, zorg ervoor dat deze
tijdens het grillen en schoonmaken niet beschadigt.
• Bescherm het apparaat tegen stof en vuil wanneer u het voor een
langere tijd niet gebruikt (doe er een hoes of plastic zak over). Bewaar
het apparaat in een droge ruimte.
GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN
• Tristar is niet verantwoordelijk voor schade:
o Ten gevolge van een val of ongeluk.
o Indien het apparaat technisch is gewijzigd door gebruiker of derden.
o Door oneigenlijk gebruik van het apparaat.
o Door normale gebruiksslijtage.
• Door eventuele reparatie wordt de oorspronkelijke garantieperiode
van 2 jaar niet verlengd. Deze garantie is slechts geldig op Europees
grondgebied. Deze garantie heft de gebruikersrechten volgens
Europese richtlijn 1944/44CE niet op.
• Bewaar altijd uw aankoopbewijs, zonder dit aankoopbewijs kunt u geen
aanspraak maken op enige vorm van garantie.
• Bij schade veroorzaakt door het niet opvolgen van de
gebruiksaanwijzing vervalt het recht op garantie! Voor vervolgschade

• Débranchez l’appareil de la prise lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
• NB : An d’éviter tout danger en cas de la réinitialisation accidentelle de
la protection thermique, cet appareil ne peut pas être alimenté par un
dispositif externe de commande, tel une minuterie, ou branché sur un
circuit qui sera régulièrement allumé ou éteint.
• L’utilisation d’une rallonge électrique ou d’un dispositif semblable est
interdite.
• Laissez refroidir l’appareil avant de retirer ou de remplacer des pièces.
• Veillez à ce que le cordon ne soit pas suspendu au bord d'une table
ou d’un comptoir, qu’il ne touche aucune surface chaude ou n'entre
pas en contact direct avec des parties brulantes de l'appareil. Ne pas
positionner l’appareil sous ou à proximité de rideaux, de tentures, etc.
• Veillez à ce que le cordon ne touche pas les parties brulantes de

Placez correctement le pied de
support (10A) dans la base de
pied (10B). Vous entendrez un clic
lorsque le pied est bien en place.
Placez la rondelle (16) sur la base
de support et installez les vis
(17) dans la rondelle pour xer
fermement le pied de support et la
base de support.
Vissez de moitié de la tige letée (a)
dans le tube inférieur (9), ajoutez
l’anneau décoratif (8) sur le tube
inférieur (9) et assemblez les deux
tubes ensemble ; assurez-vous qu’ils
soient bien xés.
Connectez ensemble la base de
support du gril (10) et le tube
inférieur (9) pour former le support
du gril complet. Le gril peut aussi
être utilisé avec ou sans support.
Installez la vis (b) dans le tube
supérieur (7) et placez le plateau à
condiments sur le tube supérieur.
Vériez que le plateau soit bien xé
Placez la base en forme de bol de
l’appareil (5) sur le support du gril.
Vériez que le support du gril est
placé sur une surface sèche, plate
et stable.
Mettez le plateau à graisses (4)
dans l’emplacement approprié de
la base de l’appareil. Le plateau à
graisses peut être rempli avec un
peu d’eau pour qu’il soit plus facile
à nettoyer.
Placez le couvercle (1) sur la base.
Positionnez le couvercle en coupe-
vent lorsque vous utilisez le gril à
l’extérieur.
Poussez le thermostat amovible
(13) aussi loin que possible dans la
prise de l’appareil.
Placez la plaque de gril (3) sur la base
de l’appareil (5). Insérez tout d’abord
la prise de l’appareil (15) dans l’orice
approprié de la base (12), puis placez
la plaque de gril horizontalement sur
la base de l’appareil.

AVANT D’UTILISER L’APPAREIL POUR LA
PREMIÈRE FOIS
• Retirez tous les matériaux d’emballage et lavez bien la plaque de gril (3),
le plateau à graisses et le couvercle. La plaque de gril (4) et le plateau à
graisses (1) peuvent aller au lave-vaisselle.
Important: séchez bien les diérentes pieces et en particulier la prise
del’appareil. (15) N’immergez jamais le thermostat ajustable ou le cordon
amovible dans l’eau (13) ou tout autre liquide.
• Faites chauer le gril à son réglage maximum pendant environ 10
minutes, avec le couvercle fermé et sans mettre de nourriture. Des
résidus provenant du procédé de fabrication peuvent provoquer une
odeur et de la fumée lorsque l’appareil est utilisé pour la première fois,
ceci est normal et disparaitra après un moment.
UTILISER L’APPAREIL
• Branchez l’appareil à la prise électrique murale.
• Réglez le thermostat (13) sur le niveau de température désiré (il faut
environ 10 minutes pour chauer).
• Le témoin d’alimentation s’éteindra (14) dès que la temperature a été
atteinte.
• Placez la nourriture à griller sur la plaque de gril (3).
TEMPS DE CUISSON
Les temps de caisson suivants sont indicatifs. Des temps diérents seront
requis pour diérents poids et taille de nourriture à griller et dépend aussi
si vous grillez avec ou sans couvercle.

CONSEILS POUR GRILLER
• Votre viande sera attendrie si vous la faites mariner pendant la nuit
avant de la cuisiner (la marinade est toujours composée d’huile
(pour ajouter du moelleux), vinaigre (pour attendrir) et un mélange
d’assaisonnements).
• Utilisez toujours une pince ou une cuiller pour retourner la nourriture
grillée (l’utilisation d’une fourchette assèchera la nourriture et
endommagera le revêtement antiadhésif).
• Ne retournez les viandes et poissons qu’une fois pendant la cuisson.
Retourner la nourriture trop souvent la déshydratera.
• Ne cuisinez pas la viande trop longtemps.
• Si la nourriture colle à la plaque de gril, frottez la plaque avec un
morceau d’essuie-tout imbibé d’huile.

NETTOYER ET PRENDRE SOIN DE L’APPAREIL
• Débranchez l’appareil de la prise murale.
• Laissez le gril refroidir.
• Retirez le thermostat amovible (13) de la prise de l’appareil.
• Nettoyez la plaque de gril (3) et le plateau à graisses (4) avec de l’eau
chaude et un chion humide. N’utilisez pas de tampon métalliques, de
brosses ou d’abrasifs pour éviter d’endommager le revêtement antiadhésif.
• Nettoyez la base de l’appareil (5) avec un chion humide. Les
éclaboussures de graisses peuvent être retirées avec un détergent léger.
• La plaque de gril possède un revêtement antiadhésif. Ne l’égratignez
pas pendant la cuisson ou le nettoyage.
• Protégez l’appareil de la poussière et de la saleté lorsque vous ne vous
en servez pas pendant une période prolongée (emballez-le dans un sac
en plastique). Stockez-le dans un endroit sec.
GARANTIE
• Tristar n’est pas tenu responsable des dégâts intervenus :
o En cas de la chute de l’appareil
o En cas de modication technique de l’appareil par le propriétaire ou
par un tiers
o En cas de mauvaise utilisation de l’appareil
o En cas d’usure normale de l’appareil
• L’exécution de réparations ne prolongera pas la période originale
de garantie de 24 mois, ni ne donnera droit à une nouvelle garantie
conforme. Cette garantie n’est légale qu’en Europe. Cette garantie ne
change pas la Directive Européenne 1944/44CE.
• Conservez toujours votre reçu, il vous sera impossible de faire une
réclamation sous garantie sans ce reçu.
• Les dommages causés par le non respect de la notice d’emploi,
entraineront l’annulation de la garantie, Tristar ne sera pas tenu
responsable si des dégâts en résultent.
• Tristar ne sera pas responsable des dégâts matériels ou des blessures
physiques résultant de la mauvaise utilisation ou si les consignes de
sécurité ne sont pas correctement suivies.
• Le nettoyage mentionné dans cette notice est le seul entretien
nécessaire à cet appareil.
• Si la nition doit être réparée, veillez à ce que cela soit accompli par une
société agréée.
• Cet appareil ne peut pas être modié ou changé.
• En cas de problèmes durant les 2 ans suivant la date d’achat, qui sont
couverts par la garantie du fabricant, il est possible de revenir chez le
revendeur pour un échange contre un appareil neuf.
• Veuillez contacter votre revendeur pour des questions ou des
problèmes de conformités.
• Cet appareil est couvert par une garantie de 24 mois à partir de la date
