using the tool.

Dust, water and lack of oil specific for using in pneumatic tools are the main cause of potential flaws with the
tool. We recommend installing a Brand UNI-LL-1/4 centralized filter-oil feeder system. This system assures
lubrication reducing 80% oil consumption significantly increasing the breathing air quality for the operator.
• The filter-oil feeder system must be regulated to administer 3 to 6 drops per minute.
• Drain the water in the air compressor tank and also condensation in the hoses before using the tool. Consult the air compressor
instructions
Consider the increase of the line pressure or the inner diameter of the hose to compensate the use of
very long hoses (more than 26 ft). The hose minimum inner diameter shall be 3/8” and the connectors shall be 1/4 NPT.
Use good quality and the right size of couplers and accessories.

Keep your work area clean, tidy and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas can cause accidents.

presence of flammable liquids or with no ventilation.

Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair
can get caught in the moving parts.
Keep hands away from the moving and / or rotating
parts.
Failure to comply with this warning expose you to
severe personal injury such as cuts, burns and
crushing.
Wear the adequate personal protection equipment.
Use of eye protection, dust mask, anti-squid safety shoes,
and protection helmet and safety gloves considerably
reduce risk of injuries.
Disconnect the air hose from the tool before servicing or
changing accessoriess.
To prevent the tool from accidentally starting up and
cause accidents.
Never use the tool if the switch is not working or if it is
not correctly assembled.
Using the tool in disrepair expose you to severe personal
injury. Repair immediately in a
Authorized Service Center.
Do not overreach.
Good footing and balance allow having better control on the
tool in unexpected situations.
Never pull the air hose.
Do not use the hose to carry the tool or disconnect it
from the air supply. Damaged or tangled hoses may
burst and shoot residues towards the operator.
Prevent accidentally starting the tool.
Double check the air intake is disconnected before
lubricating, setting accessories or servicing
the tool.
Remove all the vices before starting the tool.
Additional tools, or vices set onto a rotating piece in the
tool may cause severe personal injury.
Service the tool and verify it is in excellent conditions
before using it.
Double-check carefully all the mobile parts, alignment
and assembly. Do this inspection regularly. Look for any
damaged element or malfunctioning part. Replace

Risk Control
when Using Pneumatic Tools
• Compressed air used with pneumatic
tools may be dangerous. Objects like vices, burr, splinters,
dust and other residues can get shot out at great speed
driven by the airflow and enter into your eyes or hit your
head. Airflow by itself can cause damage on soft tissues in
eyes, ears, etc.
• Tool’s accessories can loosen or break
and sent particles towards the operator or other people in
the work area.
Injury Risk to Head and Eyes
• When operating pneumatic equipment wear
protecting eyeglasses complying with ANSI Z87.1
Standard. As an additional protection wear a mask.
• Never aim the airflow to people or animals.
• Disconnect the air hose from the tool when not in use.
• Never leave the tool unattended when connected to the
air inlet.
• Before using the tool verify all the parts and accessories
are securely fastened.
Prevent injury to head and eyes
Risk of Injury Preventing Injuries
• Inadequate
handling of pressure in pneumatic
equipment may cause an explosion
and severe injury, as well as, using any
gas different from compressed air
causes explosions.
Risk of explosion
• Before using the tool double-check that the compressed air supply is regulated to
the tool specified pressure and is not over that level.
• Never connect the tool into a pressure supply exceeding 200 PSI, neither oxygen
nor any other bottled gas, combustible or reactive.
• Use clean, dry and regulated compressed air with pressure between 80 PSI and
100 PSI.
Preventing an explosion
• Being exposed to noise generated by
pneumatic tools during long periods of time can
permanently damage hearing and cause hearing loss.

• When operating pneumatic equipment always
wear hearing protection complying with ANSI S3.19

WARNING • Do not abuse the hose or the connectors.
• Keep the hose away from sharp or abrasive surfaces.
• Disconnect the hose when loading the cartridge.
• Never use the hose to carry the tool.
• Never pull the hose for disconnect it.
• Do not expose the hose to heat, oil or solvents.
• Before operating the tool verify the hoses are not damaged.
• Use hoses that support at least, 150 PSI or 150% of the system
maximum pressure, whichever is higher.
• Double check that all the connections and brackets are correctly
installed.
• Never carry the tool holding the trigger.
• Disconnect the tool air hose when not in use.
• Never leave the tool unattended when connected to the air inlet .
• Keep the tools clean. A well-kept and lubricated tool delivers a
better performance and is easier to control.
• Any repairs can only be carried out in a
Authorized Service Center.
• Do not use tools and accessories with damaged or banged parts.

Nozzles Installation
• You can install in the riveter the nozzle that
fits best the rivet stem diameter.
• Use the die to place and remove the nozzles
included in the key.
• Double check the nozzle is tight before
operating the riveter.
Installation of the nail container
• The nail container prevent the stems to hit the operator
during the application.
• The stems are shot out the riveter rear side, through the
adjusting knob orifice.
• Install the nail container is the rear side of the riveter as
shown in the illustration.

• Let some air run down the hose and the cople to verify
that both are clean before connecting them to the tool
• Plug the tool into the air line.
• Turn ON the air compressor until is full.
• Regulate the compressor air outlet pressure, from 80 PSI,
up to 100 PSI.
The tool operates in the pressure range
mentioned above. If operating in a higher range, the service
life of the machine will be shorter.
Operation
• Insert the rivet stem in the river nozzle.
• To hold the rivet in any position, see the section
“Vacuum System”.
• Find the orifice to put the rivet into and insert the rivet
head in it.
• Hold firmly the riveter and press the trigger.
• Release the trigger and remove the riveter.
Vacuum System Adjustment
• To activate the vacuum system, turn the adjusting knob
counterclockwise until getting the desired rivet fastening.
When activating the vacuum system, the air
pressure lowers, therefore the working pressure needs
adjusting. See the “Turning ON” section.
When not operating in the pressure
range established, the riveter cannot separate the stem
from the rivet.
• To deactivate the vacuum system, turn the adjusting
knob clockwise.
Air Inlet Connection
• Connect the air hose to the tool with the adapters (not
included), fixing the female connector to the air inlet
connection.
• If using various pneumatic tools and only one compressor, a
fast coupling (not included) is recommended, together with the
adapter, to quickly connect and disconnect the tools and
interchange them easily.

Lubrication
• Use an air line lubricant with SAE oil No. 10, set to two
drops per minute. If an airline lubricant cannot be used,
apply pneumatic engine oil to the entrance hole once a
day.
• Put a drop of tool lubricant in the jaws every 5,000 cycles.

Maintenance
• To carry out maintenance in the riveter chucks you need to
remove them with the wrenches (F), then, disassemble the
head parts (G).
• Clean all the pieces and apply lubric.
• Assemble back the chuck. Using the wrench with adjusting
limits to assure the head length is adequate: 2 13/16” (H).
Otherwise, the riveter performance may be deficient..
Riveter Chucks
• Remove the cylinder cover (A).
• Remove the cylinder piston (B) using a wrench.
• Clean the inside, the piston shaft (C) and the ring (D).
• Add grease into the inner wall of the cylinder and ring.
• Fill the orifice where the piston shaft is inserted (E).
Use pneumatic engine oil (SAE No. 10) up to the
washer first level. Set the piston back in place and close
the cover. Tighten firmly using the wrench.

• At the bottom of the cylinder you can
screw the included extra nozzles to avoid
loosing them.

Maintenance
• Pneumatic tools require constant lubrication through the
entire service life and when operating.
• Compressed air used for the tool contains humidity. It
can rust the tool mechanism.
• To prevent this possibility, apply constantly lubricating oil
using the Brand UNI-LL-1/4
Centralized Filter-Oil Feeder System install between the air
compressor and the tool.
• Oil in excess is immediately ejected
through the air flushing. Always keep the air flush free of
obstructions. Never point it towards people or objects.
• When not using the tool for long periods of time,
thoroughly careful lubrication is needed.
• After each 60-hours operation, the tool mechanism need
to be lightly greased. Grease in excess may lower the tool
power.
• Service the tools every 3 months only in a
Authorized Service Center. Service
and maintenance carried out by non-certified personnel
may result dangerous and can cause personal injury and
makes the product Warranty void.
• Tool malfunctioning due to failure to use the dose
lubrication recommended, not following the instructions in
this manual or repairs carried out by personnel not
certified by , is not covered in the
Warranty. We reserve the right to make technical
improvements with no previous notice.

Mantenimiento
• Las herramientas neumáticas requieren lubricación
constante a lo largo de su vida útil y durante su operación.
• El aire comprimido que necesita la herramienta para
funcionar contiene humedad que puede oxidar el
mecanismo de la herramienta.
• Para evitar esta posibilidad es necesario administrar
constantemente aceite lubricante por medio del sistema de
filtro-aceitera centralizado UNI-LL-1/4 marca
, instalado entre el compresor de aire y
la herramienta.
• Cualquier exceso de aceite en el
mecanismo es expulsado de inmediato a través del
desalojo de aire. Mantenga siempre el desalojo de aire
libre de cualquier obstrucción y nunca lo apunte hacia
personas u objetos.
• Si no va a utilizar la herramienta por un periodo largo,
deberá lubricarse con mucho cuidado.
• Después de cada 60 horas de operación el mecanismo
de la herramienta se deberá engrasar un poco. El exceso
de grasa puede disminuir la potencia.
• El servicio de las herramientas debe ser realizado cada 3
meses únicamente en un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
. El servicio y mantenimiento realizado
por personas no calificadas puede resultar peligroso y
llegar a ocasionar daños personales además de invalidar la
garantía del producto.
• Las fallas en la herramienta causadas por la falta de
lubricación dosificada recomendada, por el incumplimien-
to de este instructivo o por reparaciones realizadas por
personal no certificado por , no serán
cubiertas por la garantía. Nos reservamos el derecho a
realizar mejoras técnicas sin previo aviso.

Mantenimiento
• Para dar mantenimiento a las mordazas de la
remachadora es necesario retirarlas con ayuda de las llaves
(F). Para luego desmontar las piezas del cabezal (G).
• Limpie todas las piezas y aplique aceite lubricante.
• Arme de nuevo el cabezal y utilice la llave con topes de
ajuste para asegurarse de que la longitud del cabezal sea la
adecuada: 7 cm (H), de lo contrario el trabajo de la
remachadora podría ser deficiente.
Mordazas de la remachadora
• Retire la tapa del cilindro (A).
• Saque el pistón (B) del cilindro con ayuda de unas pinzas.
• Limpie el interior, la espiga del pistón (C) y el anillo (D).
• Agregue grasa a la pared interior del cilindro y el anillo.
• Llene el orificio donde se introduce la espiga del pistón (E)
con aceite para motor neumático (SAE No. 10) hasta el nivel
del primer empaque, regrese el pistón a su lugar y cierre la
tapa apretándola firmemente con la llave.

• En la parte inferior del cilindro puede
enroscar las boquillas extras incluidas para
evitar extraviarlas.

Puesta en marcha
Encendido
• Deje correr un poco de aire por la manguera y el cople
para verificar que ambos estén limpios antes de conectarlos
a la herramienta.
• Conecte la herramienta en la linea de aire.
• Encienda el compresor de aire y permita que se llene.
• Regule la presión de salida del compresor de aire de
551.6 kPa a 689.5 kPa (80 PSI a 100 PSI).
La herramienta opera a este rango
de presión, de operarse a rangos mayores de presión la vida
útil de la herramienta será menor.
Operación
• Introduzca el vástago del remache en la boquilla de la
remachadora.
• Para sostener el remache en cualquier posición consulte
el apartado de “Sistema de vacío”
• Ubique el orificio a remachar e introduzca la cabeza del
remache en él.
• Sujete firmemente la remachadora y presione el gatillo.
• Libere el gatillo y retire la remachadora.
Lubricación
• Emplee un lubricante de línea de aire con aceite SAE No.
10, ajustado a dos gotas por minuto. Si no se puede utilizar
un lubricante de línea de aire, aplique aceite para motor
neumático al orificio de entrada una vez al día.
• Ponga una gota de lubricante para maquinaria en las
mordazas cada 5 000 ciclos.
Ajuste de sistema de vacío
• Para activar el sistema de vacío, gire la perilla de ajuste
en sentido anti-horario, hasta alcanzar la sujeción del
remache deseado.
Al activar el sistema de vacío, la presión de aire
disminuye, por lo cual se debe de ajustar la presión de
trabajo, ver apartado de encendido.
El no operar en el rango de
presiones de trabajo establecido puede provocar que la
remachadora no alcance a separar el vástago del remache.
• Para desactivar el sistema de vacío, gire la perilla de
ajuste en sentido horario.
Conexión de la toma de aire
• Conecte la manguera de aire a la herramienta por medio de
los adaptadores (no incluidos), fijando el conector hembra a la
conexión de entrada de aire de la herramienta.
• En caso de trabajar con distintas herramientas neumáticas y un
sólo compresor, se recomienda el uso de un cople rápido (no
incluido) junto con el adaptador, para conectar y desconectar
rápidamente las herramientas e intercambiarlas fácilmente.

Instalación de boquillas
• Puede instalar en la remachadora la boquilla
más adecuada que se ajuste al diámetro del
vástago del remache a trabajar.
• Utilice el dado para colocar y retirar las
boquillas incluido en la llave.
• Asegúrese de que la boquilla esté bien
apretada antes de operar la remachadora.
Instalación de contenedor de vástagos
• El contenedor de vástagos evita que los vástagos
golpeen al operador durante la aplicación.
• Los vástagos son despedidos por la parte trasera de la
remachadora, por el orificio de la perilla de ajuste.
• Instale el contenedor de vástagos en la parte trasera de
la remachadora como se muestra en el gráfico.

Control de riesgos
al usar herramientas neumáticas
• El aire comprimido que utilizan
los equipos neumáticos puede resultar peligroso. Objetos
como abrazaderas, rebabas, astillas, polvo y otros residuos
pueden ser impulsados por el flujo de aire a gran
velocidad a la cabeza o a los ojos. El flujo de aire por si
sólo puede provocar daño en tejidos blandos como ojos,
oídos, etc.
• Los aditamentos de la herramienta se
pueden aflojar o romperse y proyectar partículas al
operador u otras personas en el área de trabajo.
Riesgo de lesión en cabeza y ojos
• Siempre que opere equipo neumático utilice lentes
de protección que cumplan con la norma ANSI Z87.1
y como protección adicional utilice una careta.
• Jamás dirija el flujo de aire a personas o animales.
• Desconecte la manguera de aire de la herramienta
cuando no la esté utilizando.
• Jamás deje la herramienta conectada a la toma de aire
sin atenderla.
• Antes de utilizar la herramienta verifique que todas sus
partes y aditamentos estén debidamente asegurados.

• El manejo
inadecuado de la presión de los
equipos neumáticos puede provocar
una explosión que ocasione lesiones
serias. Al igual que el uso de cualquier
gas que no sea aire comprimido.
Riesgo de explosión
• Antes de utilizar la herramienta asegúrese que la fuente de aire comprimido esté
regulada a la presión especificada para la herramienta y no rebase ese nivel.
• Jamás conecte la herramienta a una fuente de presión que exceda los 1380 kPa
(200 PSI), o de oxígeno ni cualquier otro gas embotellado, combustible o reactivo.
• Use aire comprimido limpio, seco y regulado, a una presión de entre 551.6 kPa
(80 PSI) y 689.5 kPa (100 PSI).
Para prevenir explosión
• Exponerse al ruido generado por
las herramientas neumáticas por largos periodos puede
dañar el oído permanentemente provocando pérdida de la
audición.

• Siempre que opere equipo neumático utilice
protección auditiva que cumpla con la norma
ANSI S3.19

• No exponga la manguera al calor, aceite o solventes.
• Antes de operar la herramienta, verifique que las mangueras no
estén dañadas.
• Use mangueras que soporten al menos 1 034 kPa (150 PSI) o el
150% de la máxima presión del sistema, la que sea mayor.
• Asegúrese que todas las conexiones y abrazaderas se encuentran
correctamente instaladas.
• Nunca cargue la herramienta tomándola por el gatillo.
• Desconecte la manguera de aire de la herramienta cuando no la
esté utilizando.
• Jamás deje la herramienta conectada a la toma de aire sin atenderla.
• Mantenga las herramientas limpias. Una herramienta bien cuidada y
lubricada brinda un funcionamiento mas efectivo y es mas fácil
controlarla.
• Cualquier reparación solo puede ser realizada en un Centro de
Servicio Autorizado .
• No utilice herramientas y accesorios con partes dañadas o golpeadas.
