Introduction
This instruction manual is for users of the TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB. This keypad is
suitable for use with a notebook, so that you can still make full use of the keyboard. This keypad can
also be used as a USB hub.
Safety
- The TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB does not require any special maintenance. Use a
slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the keypad.
- Do not use aggressive substances, such as petrol or white spirit, to clean the device. These
may harm the material.
- Do not submerge the device in liquid. This may be dangerous and will damage the device. Do
not use this device near water.
- Make sure nothing is placed on the cable. Do not use this device in an area where the cable can
become worn or damaged as a result of people walking over it.
- Do not repair this device yourself.
Uninstalling old drivers and devices
The most common cause of faults during installation is the presence of a driver for a similar, old
product. The best solution is to first remove all drivers related to old devices before installing the new
driver.
1. Enter the Windows ‘Safe Mode’ (press F8 when starting Windows and then select ‘Safe Mode’
from the menu which is displayed).
2. Go to ‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’ and double-click on the ‘Add/Remove Programs’ icon.
3. Find all the programs for similar, old devices and remove these by clicking on the ‘Add/Remove’
button. When in the ‘Safe Mode’, it is possible for some programs to appear twice. In that case,
remove all the programs which appear twice.
4. Restart the computer.
Connecting
Note: Windows 98 users first install software.
Note: For certain versions of Windows, you may be requested to insert your Windows CD-
ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
1. Make sure your computer is turned on.
2. Insert the USB plug into the USB connection on your computer.
3. If you use Windows 98, follow the on-screen instructions. In all other Windows releases, the
keypad will be installed automatically.
4. The keypad is now ready for use.
Installation in Windows XP, 2000, Me and 98
Note: The latest driver can be downloaded from www.trust.com/12837. Check whether a new
driver is available and use this for the installation.
Note: Make sure all other programs are closed during the installation.
Note: During installation in Windows XP, you may receive a message saying that the driver
has not been signed. This does not cause a problem for the functionality.
1. Turn the computer on.
2. Insert the diskette into the 3½” floppy disc drive.
3. Click on ‘Start – Run’.
4. Type [A:\Setup.exe] in the command line.
5. Click on ‘OK’.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. The computer will be restarted after the final step has been completed.
Checking after the installation
After installing the device and the driver, the following are installed on your computer and can be
checked:

– The icon shown in figure 1 should be visible in the right-hand corner of your taskbar.
‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’. Double-click on the ‘System’ icon and select the ‘Device Manager’
tab.

Note: The information given above will vary when the installation has been altered by the user
(for example, not everything has been installed or locations other than the default
locations have been selected).

Note: The location or name in the ‘Control Panel’ may vary for different Operating Systems.
Use
Note: Mac OS 9 users cannot use the Num-Lock and Enter keys on the keypad.
The keypad can be used as a numeric keyboard or a hub. The maximum current which can be
provided per USB port on the keypad is 100 mA. Do not connect a device which requires a stronger
current.
If you use an IBM compatible computer running Windows and you have installed the software for the
keypad, the keypad’s Num-Lock function will work independently from the numeric section of your
notebook or existing keyboard.
You can see whether the keypad’s Num-Lock function is active or not by looking at the icon in the right-
hand corner of the taskbar (figure 1). This icon is light grey when the Num-Lock function is not active
(figure 2).
You can see the properties of the ‘Generic USB Hub’ via ‘Start – Settings – Control Panel – System –
Device Manager’. In the ‘Power’ tab, you can see the available current per USB port on your keypad.

Sicherheitshinweise
- Das TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB benötigt keine spezielle Pflege. Reinigen Sie die
Zehnertastatur mit einem angefeuchteten weichen Tuch.
- Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine aggressiven Mittel, wie Benzin oder Terpentin. Diese können
schädlich für das Material sein.
- Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in eine Flüssigkeit unter. Dies kann gefährlich sein und verursacht
Schäden am Produkt. Benutzen Sie dieses Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wasser.
- Achten Sie darauf, das nichts auf dem Kabel steht. Stellen Sie dieses Gerät nicht an eine Stelle, wo das

Alte Treiber und Produkte deinstallieren
Die meisten Probleme bei der Installation werden von noch vorhandenen Treibern vergleichbarer, alter Produkte
verursacht. Die beste Lösung ist, alle verwandten Treiber dieser Produkte erst zu entfernen, ehe man den neuen
Treiber installiert.
1. Starten Sie den Computer im abgesicherten Modus (beim Hochfahren F8 eindrücken, es folgt ein kurzes
Menü, in dem Sie den abgesicherten Modus wählen).
2. Wählen Sie Start – Einstellungen – Systemsteuerung – Software.
3. Suchen Sie alle Programme gleichartiger alter Produkte und entfernen Sie sie (mit der Schaltfläche
'Hinzufügen/Entfernen'). Durch den abgesicherten Modus kann es sogar vorkommen, dass Sie doppelte
Programme finden. Entfernen Sie in diesem Fall auch die doppelten Programme.
4. Starten Sie den Computer neu.

Hinweis: Wenn Sie Windows 98 Erst software installieren.
Hinweis: In bestimmten Windows-Versionen können Sie zum Einlegen der Windows-CD-ROM
aufgefordert werden.

Hinweis: Unter www.trust.com/12837 finden Sie immer die neuesten Treiber. Kontrollieren Sie, ob
eventuell eine neue Version vorhanden ist und verwenden Sie dann die neue Version bei
der Installation.
Hinweis: Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle anderen Programme während der Installation geschlossen
sind.
Hinweis: Während der Installation in Windows XP kann eine Meldung bezüglich eines „nicht
signierten“ Treibers erscheinen. Die Funktion wird dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt.
1. Schalten Sie den Computer ein.
2. Legen Sie die Diskette in das 3,5“-Diskettenlaufwerk ein.
3. Wählen Sie Start – Ausführen.
4. Geben Sie „A:\Setup.exe” ein.
5. Klicken Sie auf 'OK’.
6. Befolgen Sie die Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm.
7. Nach dem letzten auf dem Bildschirm erschienenen Schritt wird der Computer neu gestartet.

Hinweis: Wenn die Installation vom Benutzer modifiziert wurde (es wurde beispielsweise nicht
alles installiert oder andere Pfade als die Standardpfade angegeben), weichen die oben
genannten Angaben ab.
Hinweis: Auch durch die Verwendung neuer Treiber aus dem Internet können Abweichungen
entstehen.
Hinweis: Das Verzeichnis oder die Benennung kann bezüglich der Systemsteuerung pro
Betriebssystem etwas anders sein.
Verwendung
Hinweis: Wenn Sie die Zehnertastatur unter Mac OS 9 verwenden, können Sie die Num-Taste
und die Eingabetaste auf der Zehnertastatur nicht nutzen.
Die Zehnertastatur kann sowohl als numerische Tastatur und als Hub verwendet werden. Per USB-Port auf der
Zehnertastatur kann maximal 100 mA an Strom geliefert werden. Schließen Sie keine Geräte mit höherem
Stromverbrauch an.
Wenn Sie einen IBM-kompatiblen Computer mit einem Windows-Betriebssystem verwenden und die Software der
Zehnertastatur installiert ist, funktioniert die Num-Taste der Zehnertastatur unabhängig vom Ziffernblock Ihres
Notebooks oder bereits vorhandenen Tastatur.
Am Symbol rechts unten auf der Taskleiste (Abbildung 1) können Sie erkennen, ob die Num-Feststelltaste aktiv
ist oder nicht. Wenn die Num-Feststelltaste nicht aktiv ist, sieht dieses Symbol hellgrau aus (Abbildung 2).
Über Start – Einstellungen – Systemsteuerung – System – Gerätemanager – Universeller serieller Bus Controller
können Sie die Eigenschaften des ‘Generic USB Hub’ aufrufen. Dort können Sie auf der Registerkarte 'Energie’
nachlesen, wie hoch der Stromverbrauch Ihrer Zehnertastatur pro USB-Port ist.

Introduction
Ce manuel est destiné aux utilisateurs du « TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB ». L’utilisation de
ce pavé numérique est particulièrement pratique en combinaison avec un ordinateur portable. Il permet
à l’utilisateur de continuer à utiliser tout le clavier de l’ordinateur portable. Ce pavé numérique peut
également être utilisé comme hub USB.
Sécurité
- Le TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB ne nécessite aucun entretien particulier. Pour
nettoyer le pavé numérique, utilisez un chiffon doux légèrement humidifié.
- N’utilisez pas d’agents agressifs (benzine ou white spirit) pour le nettoyage. Ceux-ci peuvent
endommager le matériau.
- Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans un liquide. Ceci a pour effet d’endommager l’appareil.
N’utilisez pas cet appareil à proximité d’eau.
- Assurez-vous que rien ne se trouve sur le câble. N’utilisez pas cet appareil dans un endroit où
le câble est sujet à usure ou peut être endommagé par des personnes marchant dessus.
- Ne réparez pas vous-même le produit.
Désinstallation d’anciens pilotes et produits
La cause la plus fréquente de problèmes durant l’installation constitue la présence d’un pilote gérant un
ancien produit comparable. La meilleure solution est d’effacer tous les pilotes liés à ces produits
préalablement à l’installation du nouveau pilote.
Suivez les indications ci-dessous si votre ordinateur comporte encore un ancien pilote :
1. Activez le mode sécurisé de Windows (appuyer plusieurs fois de suite sur F8 pendant le démarrage du système et
sélectionner le mode sécurisé dans le bref menu apparaissant à l’écran).
2. Activez Démarrer – Paramètres – Panneau de configuration– Logiciel.
3. Recherchez tous les anciens programmes d’anciens produits comparables et effacez-les (bouton ajouter /
supprimer). En raison du mode sécurisé, il se peut que vous trouviez des doubles. Dans ce cas, supprimez
également les doubles programmes.
4. Redémarrez l’ordinateur.
Connexion
Attention : Les utilisateurs de Windows 98 installz d’abord le logiciel.
Attention: Certaines versions Windows peuvent demander le CD-ROM Windows.
1. Veillez à ce que l’ordinateur soit allumé.
2. Insérez la fiche USB dans la prise USB de votre ordinateur.
3. Si vous utilisez Windows 98, suivez les indications à l’écran. Dans tous les autres systèmes
Windows, le pavé numérique est installé automatiquement.
4. Le pavé numérique est prêt à l’emploi.
Installation dans Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP
Attention : Les dernières mises à jour de pilotes se trouvent sur www.trust.com/12837. Vérifiez si
une nouvelle version est éventuellement disponible et utilisez celle-ci pour l’installation.
Attention : Assurez-vous que tous les autres programmes sont bien fermés pendant l’installation.
Attention : Pendant l’installation sous Windows XP, un message indiquant qu’il s’agit d’un pilote non
validé peut apparaître à l’écran. Ce message n’a aucune influence sur le bon
fonctionnement du logiciel.
1. Allumez l’ordinateur.
2. Insérez la disquette dans le lecteur de disquettes 3,5”.
3. Allez vers Démarrer - Exécuter.
4. Tapez : « A:\Setup.exe ».
5. Appuyez sur « Ok ».
6. Suivez les indications apparaissant à l’écran.
7. Après la dernière étape apparaissant à l’écran, l’ordinateur est redémarré.

Après installation complète du produit et des programmes, les éléments suivants ont été ajoutés à
votre système et peuvent être contrôlés :

Attention : Si l’utilisateur a procédé à une installation non standard (par exemple une installation
partielle ou l’indication d’emplacements différents de ceux donnés par défaut), les
données ci-dessus peuvent varier.

pilotes récupérés sur Internet
Attention : Dans le panneau de configuration, les emplacements et les désignations peuvent
légèrement varier d’un système d’exploitation à l’autre.
Utilisation
Attention : Si vous utilisez le pavé numérique sous Mac OS 9, vous ne pourrez pas utiliser les
touches Num-lock (Verr-Num) et Enter (Entrée) du pavé numérique.
Le pavé numérique peut s’utiliser tant comme clavier numérique que comme hub. Le courant maximal
pouvant être fourni par le port USB au pavé numérique est de 100 mA. Ne connectez pas d’appareils
consommant plus de courant.
Si vous utilisez un ordinateur IBM compatible sur lequel ont été installés Windows et le logiciel du pavé
numérique, la fonction Num-lock (Verr-Num) du pavé numérique fonctionne indépendamment de la
partie numérique de votre ordinateur portable ou de votre clavier existant.
Le pictogramme en bas à droite sur la barre de tâches (Figure 1) permet de voir si la touche Num-lock
(Verr-Num) du pavé numérique est activée ou non. Si la touche Num-lock (Verr-Num) est éteinte, le
pictogramme est gris clair (Figure 2).
Le chemin ‘Démarrer – Paramètres – Panneau de configuration – Système – Gestionnaire de
périphériques - Universal Serial Bus controllers’ permet de récupérer les propriétés du « generic USB
Hub ». Vous pouvez lire dans l’onglet « power » à combien s’élève le courant disponible par port USB
pour votre pavé numérique.

adattissimo all’uso con un computer portatile permettendo in tal modo un completo utilizzo della tastiera del
proprio laptop. È possibile utilizzare il tastierino anche come HUB USB.
Norme di sicurezza
- Il prodotto “TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB” non necessita di alcuna manutenzione specifica.
Per mantenere pulito il tastierino, si consiglia di utilizzare un panno morbido e leggermente umido.
- Per la pulizia del prodotto non utilizzare detergenti aggressivi come benzina o trielina. Essi possono infatti
intaccare il materiale.
- Non immergere in nessun caso l’apparecchio in un liquido. Ciò può essere fonte di pericolo e danneggia
inoltre il prodotto. Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in prossimità di acqua.
- Accertarsi che non vi sia nulla sul cavo. Non utilizzare questo prodotto in un luogo in cui il cavo si possa
usurare o possa venire danneggiato dal passaggio di persone.
- Non tentare di riparare da soli il prodotto.
Disinstallazione dei driver e dei prodotti non più utilizzati
La più frequente causa di problemi in fase di installazione è la presenza del driver appartenente a un prodotto
simile non più in uso. La soluzione migliore in questo caso è quella di eliminare tutti i driver relativi a tali prodotti
prima di procedere all’installazione del nuovo driver.
1. Avviare Windows in Modalità provvisoria (premere ripetutamente il tasto funzione F8 durante l’avvio del
sistema: apparirà un breve menù dal quale è possibile scegliere l’opzione “Modalità provvisoria”).
2. Selezionare l’opzione “Avvio (Start) – Impostazioni – Pannello di controllo – Software”.
3. Ricercare tutti i programmi appartenenti a prodotti similari non più in uso ed eliminarli (tramite il pulsante
“Aggiungi / Rimuovi”). A causa dell’avvio del sistema in Modalità provvisoria è possibile che gli stessi
programmi siano presenti due volte nella lista. In tal caso, assicurarsi di eliminare anche i programmi che
ricorrono una seconda volta.
4. Riavviare il computer.
Collegamento
Attenzione: Gli utenti di Windows 98 possono installare prima il software.
Attenzione: In alcune versioni di Windows il sistema può richiedere di inserire il CD-ROM originale
del sistema operativo.
1. Assicurarsi che il computer sia acceso.
2. Collegare il connettore del cavo USB a una porta USB disponibile del computer.
3. Nel caso in cui si stia utilizzando Windows 98 come sistema operativo, seguire le istruzioni che
appariranno sullo schermo; in tutte le altre versioni di Windows il tastierino verrà installato
automaticamente.
4. Il tastierino è adesso pronto all’uso.
Installazione in Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP
Attenzione: All’indirizzo www.trust.com/12837 sono presenti tutte le ultime versioni aggiornate dei driver. Si
consiglia di controllare se non sia eventualmente disponibile una nuova versione dei driver e di
utilizzare per l’installazione sempre la versione più recente.
Attenzione: Assicurarsi che durante la procedura di installazione non sia aperta nessun’altra
applicazione.
Attenzione: Durante la procedura di installazione in Windows XP potrebbe apparire un messaggio che indica
la mancata certificazione del driver. Tale avvertenza non pregiudica in alcun modo il corretto
funzionamento del driver.

Una volta eseguita la completa installazione del prodotto e dei relativi driver, controllare la presenza sul sistema e

Attenzione: Nel caso in cui i parametri predefiniti per l’installazione siano stati modificati dall’utente (per es. se
non sono stati installati tutti i componenti o si è scelto un percorso di installazione diverso da
quello proposto), è possibile che i dati differiscano dalle indicazioni riportate qui sopra.
Attenzione: È possibile che sorgano delle differenze da quanto riportato più sopra anche a causa dell’utilizzo
di nuovi driver eventualmente scaricati da Internet.
Attenzione: Per quanto riguarda il pannello di controllo, la denominazione dei programmi o il percorso in cui
essi sono stati installati può variare leggermente da sistema operativo a sistema operativo.
Utilizzo
Attenzione: Nel caso in cui si installi il tastierino sotto Mac OS 9, non sarà possibile utilizzarne i tasti “Bloc
Num” (“Num Lock”) e “Invio” (“Enter”).
È possibile utilizzare il tastierino sia come tastierino numerico sia come hub. L’intensità di corrente massima con
cui una porta USB può alimentare il tastierino è pari a 100 mA. Si consiglia quindi di non collegare periferiche che
richiedano un’alimentazione più elevata.
Nel caso in cui si utilizzi un PC IBM compatibile su cui sono stati installati Windows come sistema operativo e il
software del tastierino, la funzione “Bloc Num” del tastierino funzionerà a prescindere dal tastierino numerico
presente sulla tastiera del computer portatile o sulla tastiera in uso.
Dall’icona presente in basso a destra sulla barra delle applicazioni (figura 1) è possibile vedere se la funzione
“Bloc Num” del tastierino è attiva o meno: quando la funzione “Bloc Num” è disattivata, l’icona appare di colore
grigio chiaro (figura 2).
Selezionando l’opzione “Avvio (Start) – Impostazioni – Pannello di controllo – Sistema – Gestione periferiche –
Universal Serial Bus controllers” è possibile controllare le proprietà della periferica “Generic USB Hub”. All’interno
della scheda “Power” è possibile vedere quanta energia è disponibile per ogni porta USB presente sul tastierino.

Introducción
Este manual va destinado a los usuarios del teclado numérico ‘TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB
HUB‘. Este teclado numérico es muy apropiado para utilizarlo en combinación con un ordenador
portátil para que el teclado del mismo se pueda utilizar completamente. Este producto se puede utilizar
también como un HUB USB.
Normas de seguridad
- El TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB no requiere de un mantenimiento especial. Para
limpiarlo utilice un paño suave ligeramente humedecido.
- No utilice productos agresivos como gasolina o terpentina ya que pueden deteriorar el material.
- Por ningún motivo sumerja este producto en algún líquido. Esto puede ser peligroso y producir
daños en el producto. No utilice este aparato cerca del agua.
- Verifique que el cable permanezca libre. No utilice este aparato en lugares donde el cable
pueda deteriorarse o dañarse a causa de personas que caminen sobre él.
- No intente reparar usted mismo este producto.
Desinstalación de los controladores y productos anteriores
La causa más frecuente de los problemas de instalación es la existencia en el ordenador de un
controlador de un producto similar anterior. La mejor solución para ello es desinstalar todos los
controladores correspondientes a estos productos antes de instar el nuevo controlador.
1. Active el modo a prueba de fallos de Windows (presionando repetidas veces F8 durante el
inicio del sistema. Aparecerá un breve menú, seleccione aquí el modo a prueba de fallos ‘safe
mode’).
2. Active Inicio – Configuraciones – Panel de control – Software.
3. Busque todos los programas de los productos similares anteriores y elimínelos (botón Agregar /
Quitar). Al encontrarse en el modo a prueba de fallos, usted podrá encontrar programas
duplicados. De ser así, elimine éstos también.
4. Reinicie el ordenador.
Conexión
Nota: Los usuarios del Windows 98 instale primero el software.
Nota: En algunas versiones de Windows el sistema puede preguntar por el CD-ROM de
Windows.
1. Asegúrese de haber apagado el ordenador.
2. Enchufe la clavija USB a la conexión USB del ordenador.
3. Si está utilizando Windows 98, siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla. En todos los
demás sistemas de Windows el teclado numérico se instalará automáticamente.
4. El teclado numérico está listo para ser utilizado.
Instalación en Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP
Nota: Los controladores más actualizados se encuentran en www.trust.com/12837. Verifique
si casualmente hay disponible una versión actual y utilícela para la instalación.
Nota: Asegúrese de haber cerrado todos los demás programas antes de instalar el software.
Nota: Durante la instalación en Windows XP, puede aparecer un mensaje que dice que se
trata de un controlador no certificado. Esto no afectará el correcto funcionamiento del
producto.
1. Encienda el ordenador.
2. Inserte el disco en la unidad de disco 3.5”.
3. Vaya a: Inicio – Ejecutar.
4. Teclee: “A:\Setup.exe“.
5. Haga clic en “Aceptar“.
6. Siga las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla.
7. Una vez ejecutada la última instrucción, el ordenador se reiniciará.
Verificación de la instalación
Después de instalar completamente el producto y los programas podrá verificarlo de la siguiente
forma:

Nota: Cuando el usuario haya modificado la instalación (no ha instalado el software completo
o ha utilizado ubicaciones diferentes a las de estándar, por ejemplo), podrán variar los
datos anteriormente mencionados.
Nota: Las variaciones también pueden surgir por la utilización de controladores nuevos
provenientes de la Internet.
Nota: Respecto al Panel de control, la ubicación o la denominación también pueden variar
según el sistema operativo.
Utilización
Nota: Si se está utilizando el teclado numérico en el Mac OS 9 las teclas ‘Num-lock’ y ‘Enter’
del mismo no se pueden utilizar.
Este producto se puede utilizar como teclado numérico y como Hub. La corriente máxima que se
puede suministrar por puerto USB del teclado numérico es de 100 mA. No conecte dispositivos que
necesitan más corriente.
Si se está utilizando un ordenador compatible con IBM en el cual están instalados Windows y el
software del teclado numérico, la función ‘Num-lock’ del teclado numérico funcionará
independientemente de la parte numérica de su ordenador portátil o de su teclado ya existente.
El icono en la esquina inferior derecha de la barra de tareas (figura 1) indica el estado de la función
‘Num-lock’ del teclado numérico. Cuando la función ‘Num-lock’ está desactivada, este icono es de
color gris claro (figura 2).
Puede pedir las propiedades del ‘Generic USB Hub’ a través de: Inicio – Configuracioens – Panel de
control – Sistema –Administrador de dispositivos – Universal Serial Bus controllers. Aquí usted puede
verificar, en la ficha ‘power’, la cantidad de corriente disponible para su teclado numérico en cada
puerto USB.

Odinstalowanie starych sterowników i produktów
Istnienie w systemie starego sterownika podobnego produktu jest najczęstsząprzyczynąproblemów w
trakcie instalacji. Najlepszym rozwiązaniem w takim wypadku jest usunięcie wszystkich sterowników
tego produktu przed przystąpieniem do instalacji nowego sterownika.
1. Uaktywnij tryb awaryjny w Windows (podczas uruchamiania systemu naciśnij kilkakrotnie F8,
pojawi sięmałe menu i tam wybierz tryb awaryjny).
2. Uaktywnij Start – Ustawienia – Panel Sterowania – Oprogramowanie.
3. Znajdźwszystkie stare sterowniki produktów podobnego typu i usuńje (przycisk Dodaj / usuń).
Tryb awaryjny sprawia, że możesz spotkaćdwukrotnąilość takich programów. W takim
wypadku należy usunąć równieżpodwójnie występujące sterowniki.
4. Uruchom ponownie komputer.
Podłączanie
Uwaga: Użytkownicy systemu operacyjnego Windows 98 przechodzązainstaluj najpierw
oprogramowanie.
Uwaga: W niektórych wersjach Windows, komputer może poprosićo dysk instalacyjny Windows.
1. Upewnij się, że komputer jest włączony.

włączona, czy wyłączona. Jeśli funkcja num-lock jest wyłączona, ikona ma kolor jasnoszary (rysunek
2).
Właściwości ‘generic USB Hub’ możesz wywołaćpoprzez Start – Ustawienia – Panel sterowania –
System – Menadżer urządzeń– Kontrolery Universal Serial Bus. Na karcie ‘power’ możesz odczytać
ilość prądu do wykorzystania w porcie USB dla klawiatury.

Inleiding
Deze handleiding is bedoeld voor gebruikers van de ‘TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB‘. Dit
keypad is uitermate geschikt voor gebruik bij een laptop zodat u volledig gebruik kan blijven maken van
het toetsenbord van uw laptop. Ook is dit keypad ook te gebruiken als USB HUB.
Veiligheid
- De TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB heeft geen speciaal onderhoud nodig. Om het
keypad schoon te maken, gebruikt u een licht bevochtigde, zachte doek.
- Gebruik bij het reinigen geen agressieve middelen zoals benzine of terpentine. Deze kunnen
het materiaal aantasten.
- Dompel het apparaat in geen geval onder in een vloeistof. Dit kan gevaar opleveren en
beschadigt het product. Gebruik dit apparaat niet in de nabijheid van water.
- Zorg ervoor dat er niets op het snoer staat. Gebruik dit apparaat niet op een plek waar het
snoer kan slijten of kan worden beschadigd doordat mensen erover lopen.
- Repareer het product niet zelf.
De-installeren oude drivers en producten
Meest voorkomende oorzaak bij probleem met installatie is het nog aanwezig zijn van een
stuurprogramma van een vergelijkbaar oud product. Beste oplossing is alle gerelateerde
stuurprogramma’s van deze producten eerst de verwijderen voordat het nieuwe stuurprogramma
geïnstalleerd wordt.
5. Activeer safe mode van Windows (tijdens opstarten van systeem F8 frequent indrukken, dan
volgt een kort menu en hier safe mode selecteren).
6. Activeer start – instellingen – configuratiescherm – software.
7. Zoek alle oude programma’s op van gelijksoortige oude producten en verwijder deze (knop
toevoegen / verwijderen). Door safe mode is het mogelijk dat u zelfs dubbele tegen komt.
Verwijder in dat geval ook de dubbele programma’s.
8. Herstart de computer.
Aansluiten
Let op: Windows 98 gebruikers installeer software eerst.
Let op: In bepaalde Windows versies kan gevraagd worden om de Windows CD-ROM.
5. Zorg dat de computer aan staat.
6. Sluit de USB stekker aan op de USB aansluiting van uw computer.
7. Wanneer u gebruik maakt van Windows 98 volgt u de stappen die op uw scherm verschijnen, in
alle andere Windows systemen wordt de keypad automatisch geïnstalleerd.
8. Het keypad is klaar voor gebruik.
Installatie in Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP
Let op: Op www.trust.com/12837 staan altijd de laatste nieuwe drivers. Controleer of er
eventueel een nieuwe versie beschikbaar is en gebruik deze dan voor installatie.
Let op: Zorg dat tijdens installatie alle overige programma’s zijn afgesloten.
Let op: Tijdens installatie in Windows XP kunt u de melding krijgen dat het een non-signed
driver betreft. Dit is geen probleem voor de juiste functionaliteit.
8. Zet de computer aan.
9. Plaats de diskette in de 3.5” floppy diskdrive.
10. Ga naar; Start – Uitvoeren.
11. Type in: “A:\Setup.exe“.
12. Druk op “Ok“.
13. Volg de stappen die in uw scherm verschijnen.
14. Na de laatste stap die op uw scherm verschijnt wordt de computer opnieuw opgestart.

Na de volledige installatie van product en de programma’s zijn de volgende zaken op uw systeem
gezet en te controleren:

Let op: Wanneer de installatie door de gebruiker is aangepast (bijvoorbeeld niet alles
geïnstalleerd of andere locaties dan standaard opgegeven) zullen bovenstaande
gegevens afwijken.
Let op: Afwijkingen kunnen ook ontstaan door gebruik van nieuwe stuurprogramma’s van
internet.
Let op: Per Operating System kan de locatie of benaming wat afwijken m.b.t.
configuratiescherm.
Gebruik
Let op: Wanneer u het keypad gebruikt in Mac OS 9 kunt u geen gebruik maken van de Num-
lock en enter toets op de keypad.
Het keypad is zowel als een numeriek toetsenbord als een Hub te gebruiken. De maximale stroom die
geleverd kan worden per USB poort op het keypad is 100 mA. Sluit geen apparaten aan die meer
stroom vragen.
Wanneer u gebruik maakt van een IBM compatible computer met daarop Windows en de software van
de keypad geïnstalleerd dan werkt de num-lock functie van het keypad onafhankelijk van het
numerieke gedeelte op uw laptop of bestaande toetsenbord.
Aan het icoon rechtsonder in de taakbalk (figuur 1) kunt u zien of dat de num-lock van het keypad aan
of uit staat. Wanneer de num-lock uit staat is dit icoon lichtgrijs (figuur 2).

Desinstalação dos controladores e dispositivos antigos
A causa mais comum de problemas durante a instalação é a existência de um controlador para um produto
antigo semelhante. A melhor solução é primeiro remover todos os controladores relativos a dispositivos antigos
antes de instalar o novo controlador.
1. Inicie o "Modo de Segurança" do Windows (prima F8 no arranque do Windows e seleccione "Modo de
Segurança" do menu que é apresentado).
2. Faça clique em "Iniciar – Definições – Painel de controlo" e faça duplo clique no ícone
"Adicionar/Remover Programas".
3. Procure todos os programas para dispositivos antigos semelhantes e remova-os, fazendo clique no
botão "Adicionar/Remover" Durante o "Modo de Segurança", é possível que alguns programas sejam
apresentados duas vezes. Neste caso, remova todos os programas que são apresentados duas vezes.
4. Reinicie o computador.
Ligação
Nota: Os utilizadores do sistema 98 para Windows instale primeiro o software.
Nota: Para certas versões do Windows, poderá ser necessário inserir o CD-ROM de instalação do
Windows na unidade de CD-ROM.
1. Certifique-se de que a alimentação do computador se encontra ligada.

um novo controlador se encontra disponível e utilize-o para a instalação.
Nota: Certifique-se de que todos os outros programas se encontram fechados durante a instalação.
Nota: Durante a instalação em Windows XP, poderá receber uma mensagem a indicar que o

1. Ligue a alimentação do computador.

Verificação após a instalação
Após a instalação do dispositivo e do controlador, os elementos seguintes encontram-se instalados no

Utilização
Nota: Os utilizadores do OS 9 para Mac não podem utilizar as teclas “NumLock” e “Enter” do teclado.
O teclado pode igualmente ser utilizado como um teclado numérico ou um hub. A corrente máxima que pode ser
fornecida pela porta USB no teclado é de 100 mA. Não ligue um dispositivo que requeira uma corrente mais
forte.
Se utilizar um computador compatível com IBM com o sistema Windows e instalou o software para o teclado, a
função “NumLock” do teclado funciona independentemente da secção numérica do portátil ou do teclado
existente.
Poderá verificar se a função “NumLock” do teclado está ou não activa, olhando para o ícone no canto direito da
barra de tarefas (figura 1). O ícone é cinzento claro quando a função “NumLock” não está activa (figura 2).
Poderá verificar as propriedades do "Generic USB Hub", fazendo clique em "Iniciar – Definições – Painel de
controlo – Sistema – Gestor de Dispositivos". No separador "Power", poderá verificar a corrente disponível por
porta USB do teclado.

Αφαίρεση παλαιών οδηγών και συσκευών
Ηπιο συνήθης αιτία για την εµφάνιση προβληµάτων κατά την εγκατάσταση είναι ηπαρουσία οδηγών
κάποιου συναφούς παλαιότερου προϊόντος. Ηκαλύτερη λύση είναι να αφαιρέσετε πρώτα όλους τους
οδηγούς που σχετίζονται µετις παλιές συσκευές πριν εγκαταστήσετε το νέο οδηγό.
1. Εκκινήστε τα Windows σε «Κατάσταση Ασφαλούς Λειτουργίας» (πιέστε F8 κατά την εκκίνηση
του συστήµατος και επιλέξτε στη συνέχεια «Κατάσταση Ασφαλούς Λειτουργίας» από το
σύντοµοµενού που εµφανίζεται).
2. Επιλέξτε «Έναρξη - Ρυθµίσεις - Πίνακας Ελέγχου» και κάντε διπλό κλικ στο εικονίδιο
«Προσθαφαίρεση Προγραµµάτων».
3. Βρείτε όλα τα προγράµµατα συναφών παλαιότερων προϊόντων και αφαιρέστε τα κάνοντας κλικ
στο πλήκτρο «Προσθαφαίρεση». Λόγω της «Κατάστασης Ασφαλούς Λειτουργίας», υπάρχει το
ενδεχόµενο να συναντήσετε δυο φορές το ίδιο πρόγραµµα. Στην περίπτωση αυτή, αφαιρέστε
όλα τα διπλά προγράµµατα.
4. Επανεκκινήστε τον υπολογιστή.
Σύνδεση
Σηµείωση:Για ορισµένες εκδόσεις των Windows, ενδέχεται να σας ζητηθεί να εισάγετε το δίσκο CD-
ROM των Windows στη µονάδα CD-ROM.
1. Βεβαιωθείτε ότι ουπολογιστής σας είναι ανοιχτός.
2. Εισάγετε το βύσµαUSB στη σύνδεση USB του υπολογιστή σας.
3. Αν χρησιµοποιείτε Windows 98, ακολουθήστε τις οδηγίες στην οθόνη. Σε όλες τις άλλες
εκδόσεις Windows, ηπληκτροπινακίδα θα εγ⎢ατασταθεί αυτόµατα.
4. Ηπληκτροπινακίδα είναι πλέον έτοιµηγια χρήση.
Εγκατάσταση σε Windows 98 / Windows ME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP

Σηµείωση:Κατά την εγκατάσταση σε Windows XP µπορεί να εµφανιστεί το µήνυµαότι πρόκειται για
µηπιστοποιηµένο οδηγό. Αυτό δεν επηρεάζει τη σωστή λειτουργία.
1. Ανοίξτε τον υπολογιστή.
2. Εισάγετε τη δισκέτα στη µονάδα δισκέτας 3½.

Χρήση
Σηµείωση: Οι χρήστες Mac OS 9 δεν µπορούν να χρησιµοποιήσουν τα πλήκτρα Num-Lock και Enter
στην πληκτροπινακίδα.
Ηπληκτροπινακίδα χρησιµοποιείται ως αριθµητικό πληκτρολόγιο ήhub. Ηµέγιστη τάση που µπορεί να
παρασχεθεί ανά θύρα USB στην πληκτροπινακίδα είναι 100 mA. Μη συνδέετε συσκευή που απαιτεί
ισχυρότερη τάση.
Αν χρησιµοποιείτε υπολογιστή συµβατό µεΙΒΜ που λειτουργεί σε περιβάλλον Windows και έχετε
εγκαταστήσει το λογισµικό για την πληκτροπινακίδα, ηλειτουργία του πλήκτρου Num-Lock της
πληκτροπινακίδας θα είναι ανεξάρτητη από το αριθµητικό τµήµατου φορητού σας ήτου υπάρχοντος
πληκτρολογίου.
Μπορείτε να βλέπετε πότε είναι ενεργή ηλειτουργία Num-Lock της πληκτροπινακίδας σας, κοιτάζοντας
το εικονίδιο στη δεξιά γωνία του πλαισίου συστήµατος (σχήµα1). Το εικονίδιο έχει απαλό γκρίζο χρώµα
όταν ηλειτουργία Num-Lock είναι ανενεργή (σχήµα2).
Μπορείτε να δείτε τις ιδιότητες του «Generic USB Hub» µέσα από «Έναρξη – Ρυθµίσεις- Πίνακας
Ελέγχου – Σύστηµα– ∆ιαχείριση Συσκευών». Στην καρτέλα «Τροφοδοσία», µπορείτε να βλέπετε τις
διαθέσιµες τάσεις ανά θύρα USB στην πληκτροπινακίδα σας.

Introducere
Acest manual de instrucţiuni se adreseazăutilizatorilor produsului TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB
HUB. Aceastăminitastaturănumericăse preteazăutilizării cu un calculator portabil (notebook),
permiţând folosirea integralăa tastaturii. Aceastăminitastaturăpoate de asemenea fi utilizatăca hub
USB.
Siguranţă
- Minitastatura TRUST NUMERIC KEYPAD & USB HUB nu necesităo întreţinere specială.
Folosiţi o cârpămoale uşor umezităpentru a curăţa minitastatura.
- Nu folosiţi substanţe corozive, cum ar fi benzina sau terebentina de petrol (white spirit) pentru a
curăţa dispozitivul. Acestea pot dăuna materialului.
- Nu introduceţi dispozitivul în lichid. Acest lucru poate fi periculos şi va duce la deteriorarea

Dezinstalarea vechilor drivere şi dispozitive
Cea mai obişnuităcauzăa problemelor din timpul instalării este prezenţa unui driver pentru un alt
produs similar, vechi. Cea mai bunăsoluţie este de a elimina mai întâi toate driver-ele dispozitivelor
similare vechi înainte de a-l instala pe cel nou.
1. Activaţi ‚Modul Protejat’ (‘Safe Mode’) (apăsaţi F8 când lansaţi Windows şi apoi selectaţi ‚Modul
Protejat’ din meniul afişat).
2. Mergeţi la ‚Pornire – Setări – Panou de control’ (‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’) şi faceţi
dublu clic pe pictograma ‚Adăugare/eliminare programe’ (‘Add/Remove Programs’).
3. Găsiţi toate programele pentru dispozitive similare vechi şi eliminaţi-le printr-un clic pe butonul
‚Adăugare/eliminare’ (‘Add/Remove’). Atunci când sunteţi în ‚Modul Protejat’ (‘Safe Mode’), este
posibil ca unele programe săaparăde douăori. În acest caz, eliminaţi toate programele care
apar de douăori.
4. Reporniţi calculatorul.
Conectarea
Notă:Uitlizatorii sistemului de operare Windows 98 trebuie mai întâi săinstaleze software-ul.
Notă:E posibil ca anumite versiuni de Windows săsolicite introducerea CD-ului Windows în
unitatea de CD.
1. Asiguraţi-văcăaţi pornit calculatorul.
2. Introduceţi fişa USB în portul USB al calculatorului dumneavoastră.
3. Dacăutilizaţi Windows 98, urmaţi instrucţiunile de pe ecran. În toate celelalte versiuni de
Windows, minitastatura va fi instalatăîn mod automat.
4. Minitastatura dumneavoastrăeste acum gata de utilizare.
Instalarea sub Windows XP, 2000, ME şi 98
Notă:Cel mai recent driver poate fi descărcat de la www.trust.com/12837. Verificaţi dacăeste
disponibil un driver nou şi folosiţi-l pe acesta la instalare.
Notă:Asiguraţi-văcătoate celelalte programe sunt închise în timpul instalării.
Notă:La instalarea sub Windows XP, este posibil săprimiţi un mesaj care spune cădriverul nu
este semnat. Acest lucru nu afecteazăbuna funcţionare.
1. Porniţi calculatorul.
2. Introduceţi discheta în unitatea de dischetăde 3½ inci.
3. Faceţi clic pe ‚Start – Executare’ ('Start – Run’).

Utilizarea
Notă: Utilizatorii sistemului de operare Mac OS 9 nu pot folosi tastele Num-Lock şi Enter ale
minitastaturii.
Minitastatura poate fi utilizatăca tastaturănumericăsau hub. Curentul electric maxim furnizat per port
USB la aceastăminitastaturăeste de 100 mA. Nu conectaţi un dispozitiv care necesităun curent mai
puternic.
Dacăutilizaţi un calculator compatibil IBM cu sistem de operare Windows şi aţi instalat software-ul
minitastaturii, funcţia Num-Lock a minitastaturii va funcţiona independent de secţiunea numericăa
tastaturii dumneavoastrăexistente sau a tastaturii calculatorului portabil (notebook-ului).
Puteţi vedea dacăfuncţia Num-Lock a minitastaturii este activăsau nu uitându-văla pictograma situată
în colţul din dreapta a barei de activităţi (figura 1). Atunci când funcţia Num-Lock nu este activă,
pictograma este gri deschis (figura 2).
Mergând la ‘Start – Setări – Panou de control – Sistem – Manager dispozitive’ (‘Start – Settings –
Control Panel – System – Device Manager’), puteţi vedea proprietăţile hub-ului generic USB. În fila
‚Alimentare’ ('Power’) puteţi vedea curentul disponibil pe fiecare port USB al minitastaturii
dumneavoastră.
