Albert EFTPOS Terminal: How to Guide

Charging Albert
With a dock
1. Connect the charging cable to the dock.
2. Place Albert on the dock.
Without a dock
1. Remove the power outlet cover on the
left side of the device.
2. Connect the charging cable to the power
outlet.
Changing a receipt roll
1. Open the printer door by sliding the
button on the left. The door will pop
down.
2. Remove the empty roll and any leftover
paper.
3. Prepare the new roll by loosening the end
of the strip.
4. Drop the new roll into the compartment.
Make sure the end of the strip of paper
feeds over the roll and above the door.
5. Close the door by pressing it towards
Albert. When closed properly it will click
into place.
Powering Albert
Switch on - Press and hold the Power button to
switch on Albert.
Wake up –If Albert is switched on but the screen is
blank, press the Power button once.
Switch off –Press and hold the button until the
prompt appears.
First login
Once albert has booted for the first time you will
need to swipe the screen to begin. There will be
prompt for the “Password” enter the password to
continue.

How to place an order
Open Payment app
Tap products to add to order
Select “PAY”
After “PAY” button selected, you will
automatically be pushed to the Albert
payment screen to complete the
payment.
How to complete the payment
Select payment method, Tap/Swipe/Insert
Follow prompts to complete sale
PIN is required for swipe or insert of card
Cleaning, Maintenance and Security (Your
Responsibility)
At the commencement of the event, all terminals
will be provided clean, tested, and barcoded to
match the device/s that you’ve been allocated. It
is your responsibility to maintain the security of
this device and its accessories during the event,
and all items are to be returned in the same
condition that they were provided in.
Please adhere to the below DAILY ITEMS to ensure
that you are not charged for any damage or loss of
the Albert Terminal and accessories:
Check the terminal and barcode sticker
for any signs of alterations or tampering
Check the device barcode number
matches the bag if one was supplied
Clean the terminal with a dry cloth, do not
spray or wet the terminal directly
Safely store the terminal in a locked
cabinet overnight or when not in use
Only provide operator passwords to
authorised staff
Immediately report any signs of
tampering to the Site Manager
