GAS CONVERSION KIT FROM LP TO NG, P/N: CKNG-TE1BQ
FOR MODELS: TWIN EAGLES EAGLE ONE GRILL
1. All gas connecons/conversions should be made by a qualied technician and
in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
2. Before conducng a conversion to a gas appliance, verify that the main gas is
shut o and disconnected from the appliance.
3. Ensure that you have the LP Gas Conversion Kit as follows:
A. P/N 15110-41, Orice #41, NG, Grill Burner (3 pcs.)
B. P/N 15108-48, Orice #48, Ros/ Small IR, for TE1BQ36 (1 pc.)
C. P/N 15108-41, Orice #41, Ros/ Large IR, for TE1BQ42 (1 pc.)
D. P/N 18351, Label, Conversion Gas (1 pc.)
4. Replace burner valve orices.
A. Grill Burner:
a. Remove cooking grates
b. Remove briquee trays
c. Remove grill burners
d. Remove grill burner orices, #53 drill size
e. Replace grill burner orices with #41 drill size
f. Adjust the burner shuer for the appropriate gas type. (An “L” and an “N”
are stamped on the air shuer to indicate the appropriate gas type.)
g. Install back the burners, briquee trays & cooking grates. WARNING! IT IS
CRITICAL THAT THE GAS BURNERS ARE PROPERLY INSTALLED WITH THEIR
ORIFICES INSIDE THE BURNERS AIR SHUTTER. If not properly installed, gas
may leak outside of the burner that could lead to re, potenal damage to
your grill and bodily injury.
B. Infrared Rosserie Burner
a. Remove rear hood access cover to expose infrared burner gas orice
b. Remove ros burner orice, as follows:
i. #55 from the 36” grill, TE1BQ36
ii. #53 from the 42” grill, TE1BQ42
c. Replace ros burner orice with:
i. #48 to the 36” grill, TE1BQ36
ii. #41 to the 42” grill, TE1BQ42
d. Replace rear hood access cover.
5. Convert the LP regulator to NG and remove the factory supplied LP regulator.
A. Disconnect the regulator and hose assembly from LP bole and regulator
aached to grill.
B. Do not disconnect aached regulator from grill. Convert regulator to NG by
unscrewing the hex cap to expose the plasc plunger.
C. Flip the plunger so the disc is closest to the cap. Screw the cap back on, the
regulator is now converted for NG gas.
D. Check for gas leaks using soapy water soluon.
6. NEVER USE THE GRILL WITHOUT FIRST LEAK TESTING THE GAS CONNECTION.
A. Prepare a leak tesng soluon of sudsy water by mixing in a spray bole with
half liquid soap and half water.
B. Conrm that all control knobs are in the “OFF” posion.
C. Turn the main gas valve supply “ON”.
D. Apply leak tesng soluon by spraying on the pipe joint, ngs, and hose.
E. A gas leak is detected if;

In Massachuses: All gas products must be installed using a “Massachu-
ses” licensed plumber or gaser. A “T” handle type manual gas valve
must be installed in the gas supply line to this appliance. This applies to
permanently installed natural gas and propane installaons. This does not
apply to propane portable installaons using a 20 pound tank.

a. there is a faint gas smell and/or
b. growing bubbles appear on any of the connecon points and/or hose. DO
NOT aempt to ignite the grill and IMMEDIATELY turn o the gas supply
valve.
F. When there is a gas leak, call a qualied service technician. DO NOT use the
grill unl the leak is corrected.
7. Calibrate burner low ame seng
A. The grill must be hooked up to the gas supply in order to calibrate burner.
B. Turn on burner and set to low. At low seng, all ports of the burner must
remain lit. If the ames are too high or too low, calibrate burner valve.
C. To calibrate burner valve, pull o valve knob. Insert skinny at screwdriver
into the valve stem.
D. Turn the adjusng screw inside the stem clockwise to decrease ame or
counter clockwise to increase ame.
E. Perform leak test on the valve stem using the soapy water soluon.
8. The conversion is complete. Fill up the Conversion Label. Next, paste it next to
the original Serial Plate.
9. The unit is ready for installaon. Please refer back to the User’s Manual to
ensure safety, proper care and operaon.
