Assembly Instructions
Deluxe Double Log Sided Bed Kit
1. Before You Start—DRY FIT ALL PIECES TOGETHER BEFORE GLUING
Gather the tools needed to assemble your bed frame. These tools include:
●An Impact Driver to bolt in side rails
●Ratchet Straps to hold frame together during assembly *Optional
●The Wood Glue provided
●ARubber Mallet for additional force during assembly.
●An Additional Person, this process is much easier with a friend.
Once you have your tools it is time to identify your parts. Y ou should have received 2 boxes per bed. In these you
will find:
●12- Wood plugs
●8- Bolts & Washers
●2- Headboard posts
●2- Footboard posts
●3- Support Logs
●2- Side Rails
●Spindles (Amount depending on
bed frame option)
●4- Cross logs
2. Dry Fit Headboard/Footboard
Once you have identified all tools and parts needed to build your bed then you are ready to “Dry Fit” your bed
frame. This is a crucial part of assembly. Each and every one of our bed frames start out as natural logs from
northern Minnesota. Once we receive our logs they are peeled and carved to the desired specifications. Each log is
like a snowflake and we do our best to tailor each log to be a certain measurement. We also do our best to keep the
natural look of each log intact. Dry fitting the log ensures that before gluing you know for sure that the log will fit in
each hole made.
●Lay out everything that you will need for your headboard, this includes: 2 cross logs with predrilled holes, 1
cross log without holes, half of spindles needed for your bed size, and two posts.
●Take the 2 cross logs with holes and put the spindles into the holes. IF THERE IS AN “X” PLEASE PLACE THAT
SPINDLE UPWARDS

●Once you have placed the spindles into the cross logs it is time to put the cross logs into the headboard
posts. If there is resistance please use some force to square up the headboard so it does not appear
crooked. Some cracking sounds are to be expected and do not affect the structure or durability of the bed.
●Repeat this process with the footboard.
3. Gluing Headboard/Footboard
Once the “Dry Fitting '' process is done and you are satisfied with how the headboard looks; the spindles, crosslogs,
and headboard post look sturdy it is time to glue them into place. When gluing keep in mind that it is important to
first glue the spindles into the cross logs then, immediately glue the cross logs into the headboard posts
before the glue on the spindles dry. This allows you to manipulate the structure and square the
headboard/footboard up before the drying process begins.Repeat the dry fitting process and gluing for the
footboard before moving on.
4. Side Rails/Supports
Now that your headboard and footboard are fully assembled and the glue has dried it is now time to connect them
with your side rails. This is where additional help is useful. Grab the 4 side rails, 8 bolts, 8 washers, and your impact
driver.
●You should have 4 side rail logs, 2 of which have holes. The side rails with holes should be placed on the
bottom. (these holes are for the mattress support logs).
●On one side take 2 side rails and place them into the designated holes and bolt into place. Before moving to
the otherside set the supports in place across from side rail to side rail then insert other side rails into place
and bolt together. This is where an additional person is very helpful to hold mattress supports into place
while you use the mallet to push the side rails into their respective positions to bolt them into the final
footboard post.
5. Finish
You have completed the bed assembly. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out and our team will be

If you choose not to order your bed with a clear lacquer finish we do recommend that you add a lacquer finish to
your bed. You can do that by first coating the wood in a sanding sealer then coating it in a water based lacquer. We
use a semi-gloss top coat and sand between coats to ensure that the wood is smooth. Adding a finish to your log
bed will protect it from various things like oils on your hands, gives the wood added durability and creates a clean
finished look to your furniture.
