BEFORE LIGHTING
Inspectthegassupplyhosespriortoturning onthegas.Ifthereisevidenceofcuts, wear, orabrasion,it must
bereplaced priortouse.
Onlythepressureregulatorandhoseassemblysuppliedwiththeunitshouldbeused.Neversubstitute
regulatorsforthosesuppliedwiththegrill.Contactcustomerserviceforproperreplacement.
Screwthe regulator(typeQCC1)ontothe cylinder. Leakcheck the hoseandregulatorconnectionswithasoap
and watersolutionbeforeoperating thegrill (See “LeakTesting”instructionson page16).
Donotturnonthe gasattheLPgascylinderunlessthegashoseisproperlyconnected totheside burnergas
pipesystemand allburnervalvesareinthe “OFF”position.
Keepaspraybottleofsoapywaternearthe grilland check the connectionsbeforeeachuse.
WARNING
Donotleavethegrill unattendedwhilecooking.

Failuretoproperlyplacethe burneroverthe orifice
couldcauseafiretooccurbehindand beneaththe
valvepanel,therebydamagingthegrill andmaking

When properlycaredfor,yourgrillwillprovide safe,reliableserviceformanyyears. However, extremecare
mustbe usedasthe grillproducesintenseheatthatcanincreaseaccidentpotential.
When usingthisappliancebasicsafetypracticesmustbefollowed, includingthefollowing:
Donotrepairorreplaceanypart ofthe grill unlessspecificallyrecommended inthismanual.Allotherservice
shouldbereferred toaqualified technician.
The grillisforoutdooruseonly.
The grillisnotintendedtobeinstalledinoron recreationalvehiclesand/orboats.
Childrenshouldnotbeleft alone orunattendedinanareawherethe grillisbeing used.Donotallowchildren
tosit,standorplayonoraround thegrillat anytime.
Donotstoreitemsofinteresttochildrenaroundorbelowthegrillorcart.Donot allowchildrentocrawlinside
the cart.
Neverletclothing, potholdersorotherflammablematerialscomeincontactwithortoo closetoanygrate,
burnerorhotsurfaceuntilit hascooled.The fabriccouldignite, causingseriouspersonalinjury.
Forpersonalsafety,wearproperapparel.Loosefitting garmentsorsleevesshouldneverbewornwhileusing
thisappliance. Somesyntheticfabricsarehighlyflammableandshouldnotbewornwhilecooking.
Onlycertaintypesofglass,ceramic, earthenware,orotherglazedutensilsaresuitableforgrill use.Other
typesofmaterialsmayshatterwithsuddentemperaturechanges.Useonlylowormediumheat settingsin

Donotheatunopened foodcontainersasabuild-upofpressuremaycausethecontainerstoburst.
Useacoveredhand when openingthe grill lid. Neverleanoveranopengrill.
When lighting aburner,alwayspaycloseattentiontowhatyou aredoing. Makecertainyouareawareof
whichburneryou arelightingsothat yourbodyandclothingremainclearofopen flames.
When usingthe grill, donottouchthegrill rack, burnergrateorimmediatesurroundingsastheseareas
becomeextremelyhot andcouldcauseburns.Useonlydrypotholders. Moistordamppotholdersonhot
surfacesmaycausesteamburns.Donotuseatowelorbulkyclothinplaceofpotholders. Donotallow
potholderstotouchhotportionsofthegrillrack.
Greaseisflammable.Lethotgreasecoolbeforeattemptingtohandleit.Donot allowgreasedepositsto
collect inthegreasetrayat thebottomofthe grill’sfirebox.Clean the greasetrayoften.
Donotusealuminumfoiltoline thegrill racksorgrillbottom.Thiscanseverelyupsetcombustion airflowor

Forproperlightingandperformanceofthe burners,keep theburnerportsclean. Itisnecessarytoclean them
periodicallyforoptimumperformance. The burnerswillonlyoperateinoneposition andmustbe mounted
correctlyforsafeoperation.
Exercisecautionwhencleaninggrill.Toavoidsteamburns,donotuseawetspongeorclothtoclean thegrill
whileitishot.Somecleanersproducenoxiousfumesorcan igniteifappliedtoahotsurface.
Neveruseadented orrustypropane cylinder.
Turnoffallcontrolknobsandmakecertainthegrilliscoolbeforeusing anytypeof aerosolcleaneron or
aroundit.The chemicalthatproducesthesprayingactioncould,inthe presenceof heat, igniteorcausemetal
partstocorrode.
Donotusethegrilltocookexcessivelyfattymeatsorotherproducts, whichpromoteflare-ups.

ignition components,thusvoidingthewarranty.Donot usebriquettesofanykindinthegrill.
Keepthe backofthecartfree andclearfromdebris. Keepanyelectricalsupplycordand thefuelsupplyhose
awayfromanyheated surface.
Neverusethe grillinextremelywindyconditions.Iflocatedinaconsistentlywindyarea (oceanfront,
mountaintop,etc.),awindbreakwill be required.Alwaysadheretotheclearancespecifications.
