4Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water (the
level is visible on the indicator (3)).
Do not boil the water if it is below the
minimumlevel or beyond the maximum
level on the indicator (3).
5Close the lid (5).
6Plug the kettle to a socket provided with an earth pin.
7Turn the kettle on by switching the on/o switch to
position I — the power indicator lights.
8Once the water is boiling, the kettle will
automatically turn o and the switch returns to o
position — the power indicator goes o.
Wait a few seconds before boiling water again.
Always unplug the kettle after use.
In the event that an empty kettle is
switchedon,it will be switched o
automatically by athermal device.
Touse the kettle again once it has cooled down,
pour water and turn on the kettle by pressing
the on/o switch (6). The cooling down of the
kettle can be accelerated by pouring cold water
into the kettle.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always allow the kettle to cool down
completelybefore cleaning!
1Unplug the kettle from the mains.
2Remove the filter (10) and rinse it under running water.
3Clean the outside surfaces with a soft damp cloth
and washing-up liquid.
In order to remove the build-up of hard water film from
the outside and inside walls of the kettle, wipe them
with a damp cloth and vinegar.
4Rinse the kettle with fresh water.
Various black-coloured, rusty, milky, etc.
deposits may form inside the kettle and
float on the water. This is caused by
minerals occurring naturally in water (calcium,
magnesium, iron, etc.). Such discoloration is not
C
caused by faulty operation of the appliance and
does not aect its use. In case of substantial
accumulation of mineral deposits, proceed as
described in the “Descaling” section.
Descaling
In the event that scale builds up on the bottom of the
kettle, it needs to be removed. For this purpose use
6-10% vinegar or citric acid.
●Open the kettle lid.
●Add 0.2 l of vinegar or 40 g of citric acid and fill the
kettle with water up to the maximum level. Switch on
the kettle.
●Bring the mixture to boil and allow the kettle to stand
for 30 minutes.
●Empty the kettle and rinse it with fresh water.
●Remove the filter (10) and rinse it under running water.
Replace the filter.
●Fill the kettle with fresh water, boil the water and
empty the kettle.
●If sediment is still visible in the kettle, remove it with
asponge and rinse the kettle again. If unsuccessful,
repeat the descaling process.
The kettle should be descaled
periodicallytoavoid its possible damage.
Disposal
Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly
