WARNING!
Eyebolts must be installed by a competent person on a structurally sound internal wall
before the ladder can be deployed for the rst time. Do not x to an external wall.
Do not tamper with or disassemble eyebolt.

Tighten locking nut on eyebolt with
a spanner. Do not over-tighten!
PLEASE NOTE:
The eyebolts should be at 90
degrees to the oor (not parallel) in
their nal, tightened position.
REPEAT STEPS 2 TO 4 FOR
THE SECOND EYEBOLT

onto the correct eyebolt.

PLEASE NOTE:
The EasyScape ladder must be stored in a safe and easily accessible location.
All potential users should be familiar with the operation of the ladder prior to using it.
Only one person (max weight: 350kg) should descend the ladder at any one time.

Please Note: Check that the ladder
has deployed fully and that the plastic
sheeting does not obstruct the rungs.
a) Lift ladder on to window sill
b) Release the toggle and rope
c) Push ladder out of the window

4PLEASE NOTE:
Test ladder in a
non-emergency
situation. Climb from the
ground upwards to ensure
that the ladder is correctly
installed.
Protect your window sill from
damage by placing a blanket
over the sill rst.
Window sills are sometimes
glued in place. Do not hold
on to the sill unless you are
sure it can hold the weight.
a) Straddle the window sill holding
on to the window frame at all
times.
b) Place your outer leg onto the
nearest rung. Swing your inner
leg over the sill and onto a rung
of the ladder.
c) Move your hand hold to the
chain and descend the ladder
one person at a time.
d) The rst person down the ladder
should stabilise it from the
bottom to aid the other climbers.
The ladder can be used for angled roofs, but the following precautions should be noted:
1. The stand-os may not be at the correct angle to the angled roof so particular care should be
taken when climbing down to avoid slipping or trapping your ngers.
2. If the angled roof overhangs the wall, particular care must be taken when climbing over this
point. The ladder may not be ush to the wall and may therefore sway when in use.
3. The eyebolts must be tted to a structurally sound wall or beam. Very often, Velux style windows
are surrounded by plasterboard only.

PACKING & STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Before storing, check ladder and plastic sheet for damage. Do not re-use the ladder
if it is damaged.
