1 Introduction
You have made a good choice by purchasing the UNI-
CRAFT Part Washing Unit
Read the operating manual thoroughly before com-
missioning the machine.
It gives you information about the proper commissioning,
intended use and safe and efficient operation and main-
tenance of your Part Washing Unit
The operating manual is part of the Part Washing Unit.
Always keep this operating manual in the location where
your Part Washing Unit is being operated. All local acci-
dent prevention regulations and general safety instruc-
tions for the operating range of your Part Washing Unit
must also be complied with.

may be used in conjunction with the operation of the Part
Washing Unit. Any application beyond those described is

2 Safety
This section provides an overview of all important safety
packages for the protection of operating personnel as
well as for safe and fault-free operation. Other task-
based safety notes are included in the paragraphs of the
individual phases of life.

Safety
2.1 Symbol explanation
Safety instructions
The safety notes in these operating instructions are high-
lightet by symbols. The safety notes are introduced by si-
gnal words which express the concern of the risk.
Tips and recommendations
It is necessary to observe the safety notes written in
these operating instructions in order to reduce the risk of
personal injuries and damages to property.
2.2 Responsibility of the operator
The operator is the person who operates the machine for
commercial or economic purposes himself or leaves it to
a third for use or application and bears the legal product
responsibility for the protection of the user, personnel or
third during operation.
If the Part Washing Unit is used for commercial pur-
poses, the operating company of the Part Washing Unit-
must comply with the legal working safety regulations.
Therefore, the safety notes in this operating manual, as
well as the safety, accident prevention and environment
protection regulations applying for the area of application
of the Part Washing Unit must be met. The following ap-
plies in particular:
- The operating company must be informed about
the applying industrial safety regulations and fur-
ther analyse hazards resulting from the special
working conditions at the place of use Part Wash-
ing Unit. She must implement these in form of op-
erating manuals for the operation of thePart Wash-
ing Unit.
- During the entire lifetime of the Part Washing Unit,
the operating company must verify whether the op-
erating manuals prepared by her correspond to the
current status of the regulations, and must adapt
these if necessary.
- The operating company must unambiguously regu-
late and determine the responsibilities for installa-
tion, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and
cleaning.
- The operating company must ensure that all per-
sons who work with the Part Washing Unit, have
read and understood this manual. Furthermore she
must instruct the staff in regular intervals and in-
form them about the hazards.
- The operator must provide the necessary protec-
tive equipment to the staff and order the use of the
necessary protective equipment in a binding way.
Furthermore the operating company is responsible to
keep the Part Washing Unit always in a technically flaw-
less state. Thus, the following applies:
- The operator must ensure that the maintenance in-
tervals described in this manual are kept.
- The operator must have all safety devices checked
regularly for their good working order and their in-
tegrity.

2.3 Personnel requirements
The different tasks described in this manual represent
different requirements to the qualification of the persons
entrusted with these tasks.
Only persons reliable working procedures can be ex-
pected from, are allowed to perform all works. Persons
the responsiveness of which is affected by e. g. drugs,
alcohol or medication, are not allowed to work with the
machine
The qualifications of the personnel for the different tasks
are mentioned below:
Operator:
The operator is instructed by the operating company
about the assigned tasks and possible risks in case of
improper behaviour. Any tasks which need to be per-
formed beyond the operation in the standard mode must
only be performed by the operator if it is indicated in
these instructions and if the operating company expres-
sively commissioned the operator.
Electrician:
The electrician is due to their professional training,
knowledge and experience as well as knowledge of the
relevant standards and regulations able to work on
electrical systems and independently recognize and
avoid possible dangers. The electrician is specially trai-
ned for the work environment in which he works and
knows the relevant standards and regulations.
Qualified personnel:
Due to their professional training, knowledge and experi-
ence as well as their knowledge of relevant regulations
the specialist staff is able to perform the assigned tasks
and to recognise and avoid any possible dangers them-
selves.
Manufacturer:
Certain works may only be performed by specialist per-
sonnel of the manufacturer. Other personnel is not au-
thorized to perform these works. Please contact our cu-
stomer service for the execution of all arising work.
2.4 Personal protective equipment
The personal protective equipment serves to protect per-
sons against impairments of safety and health while
working. The staff member has to wear personal protec-
tive equipment while performing different tasks on and
with the machine which are indicated in the individual
paragraphs of these instructions.
The personal protective equipment is explained in the
following paragraph
WARNING!
Insufficiently qualified persons cannot estimate the
risks while using the machine and expose them-
selves and others to the danger of severe or lethal
injuries.

ing area.
Ear protection
The ear protection protects against hearing damage
caused by noise.
Respiratory protection
The respiratory protection protects the respiratory
tract against the ingress of dust and small foreign
bodies.
Safety glasses
The protective glasses serve to protect the eyes
against parts flying off.
Safety gloves
The protective gloves serve to protect the hands
against sharp components as well as against fric-
tion, abrasions or deep injuries.
Safety boots
The safety boots protect the feet against crushes, fall-
ing parts and slipping over on slippery underground.
Protective clothes
Protective clothes are made of a tightly fitted fabric
without the protruding parts of low tear strength.

Intended use
2.5 Safety information
The Part Washing Unit has a number of safety markings
that must be observed and followed.
The safety labels must not be removed. Damaged or
missing safety markings can lead to malfunctions, perso-
nal injury and material damage. They are to be replaced
immediately.
If the safety markings are not immediately recognizable
and comprehendible, the Part Washing Unit should be
taken out of service until new safety markings have been
made.
The following safety labels and symbols are appropriate:

2.6 Safety instructions
- Mount the parts washer firmly on a level work-
bench.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy. Messy work-
places and workbenches increase the risk of acci-
dents and injuries.
- Always use the right tool for every job.
- Do not use organic cleaning solutions for the parts
washer.
- Use gloves when working with the parts washer.
- Use the parts washer only in well-ventilated areas.
- Do not smoke in the near of the parts washing de-
vice!
- Do not let strangers on the device. Visitors and
spectators, especially children as well as sick and
infirm persons, should be kept away from the work-
place.
- Use the parts washer only in well-ventilated areas.
- Use only identical replacement parts for main-
tenance and repair. Contact the Authorized Ser-
vice Center for replacement parts.
3 Intended use
The Part Washing Unit TWG 1 must only be used for tho-
rough cleaning with cleaning water and subsequent blo-
wing off with compressed air from components in hard-
to-reach places. The work may only be carried out in a
closed box, with careful attention to absolute tightness.
The TWG 1 parts washing machine is only approved for
use with suitable cleaning agents and may only be ope-
rated by persons who have been instructed in the device.
Proper use also includes compliance with all information
in this manual. Any use beyond the intended use or
otherwise is considered misuse.
For structural and technical changes to the Part Was-
hing Unit, the company Stürmer Maschinen Gmb assu-
mes no liability.
Claims of any kind due to damage due to improper use are
excluded.

5 Transport, Packaging, Storage
elivery
Check the Part Washing Unit for visible transport da-
mage after delivery. If you discover any damage, imme-
diately report it to the transport company or the dealer.
Transport
The parts washing device may only be transported
upright. The parts washing device must not be stacked
on top of each other. Also, no other items may be placed
on it.
For transport, the parts washing device is located on a
pallet. The pallet must be secured properly in the loading
area.
To protect against moisture and dirt, all bare metal parts
are greased.
Transport with a forklift / pallet truck:
For transport with a sufficiently dimensioned pallet truck
or forklift, the parts washer must be secured on a flat,
firm surface (for example, on a pallet) with bolts.
Packaging
All used packaging materials and packaging aids are re-
cyclable and should be taken to a materials recycling de-
pot to be disposed of.
The delivery packaging is made of cardboard, so please
dispose carefully by having it chopped up and given to
the recycling collection.
The film is made of polyethylene (PE) and the cushioned
parts of polystyrene (PS). These materials should be
taken to a collection point for recyclable materials or to
the local waste disposal company.
Storage
The parts washer must be thoroughly cleaned before
storing in a dry, clean, and frost-free environment. Never
store the device filled.

Assembly, Set up and Connecting
The Part Washing Unit may only be set up and operated
in dry, well-ventilated rooms.
It must be set up stable on a level and firm ground.
It is important to ensure that there is enough freedom of
movement and sufficient lighting to work
7.1 Assembly
The Part Washing Unit must be mounted according to
Fig. 5 or. Fig. 12.
Step 1: Remove any loose parts from inside the body of
the parts washer.
Step 2: Put the housing on its side.
Step 3: Screw the four feet to the housing with the enclo-
sed screws (M8x16), spacers and nuts.
Step 4: Place the parts washing machine on its feet.
Step 5: Insert Cleaning tank.
Step 6: Connect the suction pipe Ø 12 with adapter on
the side of the cleaning tank.
Step 7: Tighten all screws and nuts.

Incorrect work during assembly of the parts washing
machine can cause injury to fingers and hands.
- Note the weight of the parts washing device. Pay at-
tention to stable supports and support devices.

7.2 Electrical connection
Step 1: Check whether the mains voltage corresponds to
the voltage indicated on the rating plate.
Step 2: Ensure a good grounding of the parts washing
device.
Step 3: Connect the power cord to the mains.
8 Commission
Step 1:Before startup, fill the tank with at least 4 liters of
solvent. The maximum tank capacity is 9 liters.
Fill the solvent about 20 mm higher than the aspi-
ration. To check this, it is possible to pull out the
tank and read the level gauge.
Step 2: Connect a compressor with a hose diameter 8 to
the bottom of the parts washing device (Fig. 6).

work area during operation.

Commission
Step 3: Connect the parts washer to the power supply
and switch the device to "ON" at the power
switch. (Fig. 7)

Step 4: Place the component to be cleaned in the parts
washer and close the door. Use the washing gun
(Fig. 8) to clean the component. To clean with
solvent, press the red lever. To clean or bleed
with compressed air, press the black lever.

tep 5: Open the door of the parts washing machine and 0
re-
move the cleaned component. Switch off the com-
ponent washing device by the ON / OFF switch.
Step 6: If the detergent is heavily soiled, replace it.
Check the filter at regular intervals and clean if
necessary. (Fig.9)

NOTE!
Before using the parts washing machine for the first
time, carry out the following points.
- Check all screw connections on the assembled
parts washing device and tighten them if necessary.
- Check the parts washing machine for leaks.
ATTENTION!
The washing gun must always be directed away from
the operator. Never work with the door open on the
part washing machine.

9 Care maintenance and repair
9.1 Care by Cleaning
The Part Washing Unit should always be kept in a clean
condition.
All plastic parts and painted surfaces should be cleaned
with a soft, damp cloth and some neutral detergent.
Keep the tool clean and dry.
9.2 Maintenance and repair
If the Part Washing Unit does not work properly, contact
a dealer or our customer service. The contact details can
be found in chapter 1.2 Customer Service.
All protection and safety equipment must be reinstalled
immediately after completion of repair and maintenance
work.
The air hoses should be checked at regular intervals for
damage and leaks. The damaged hoses must be re-
placed.
Clean the tool regularly from dirt. Regular cleaning
makes working with the pneumatic tool easier.
9.3 Troubleshooting
ATTENTION!
Disconnect the tool from the compressed air supply
and the Part Washing Unit from the mains before
carrying out any maintenance, servicing and cleaning
work. Maintenance and repair work may only be car-
ried out by qualified personnel.

NOTE!
Never use harsh detergents for cleaning. This can
lead to damage or destruction of the device
ATTENTION!
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried out
by qualified personnel.
ATTENTION!
If any of the following errors occur, immediately stop
working with the Part Washing Unit. It can cause
serious injury or damage to the tool. All repairs or
replacement work must only be carried out by quali-
fied and trained personnel. The tool must first be dis-
connected from the compressed air source.

10 Disposal, Recycling of used devices
In your own interests an in the interests of the eviron-
ment, please ensure that all components of the equip-
ment are disposed of in the proper and authorized way.
10.1 Decommission
Disused devices must be taken out of service immedi-
ately in order to avoid later misuse and endangering the
environment or people.
Step 1: Remove all environmentally hazardous fluids
from the Part Washing Unit.
Step 2: If necessary, disassemble the Part Washing
Unit into manageable and usable assemblies
and components.
Step 3: The product components and operating materi-
als must be routed through the appropriate dis-
posal routes.
10.2 Disposal of lubricants
Remove any excess, leaking or used grease from the lu-
bricated lubrication points.
The disposal instructions for the used lubricants are pro-
vided by the lubricant manufacturer. If necessary, ask for
the product-specific data sheets.
11 Spare parts
11.1 Ordering spare parts
The spare parts can be obtained from the dealer or di-
rectly from the manufacturer. The contact details are in
chapter 1.2 Customer Service.
Specify the following key data when inquiring or ordering
spare parts:
- device type
- item number
- Position number
- Construction year
- amount
- desired shipping method (post, freight, sea, air, ex-
press)
- delivery address
Spare parts orders without details given above can not
be considered. If the shipping method is missing, ship-
ping will be at the discretion of the supplier.
Details of the device type, article number and year of
construction can be found on the type plate, which is at-
tached to the Part Washing Unit.
Example
The tank for the Part Washing Unit TWG 1 must be or-
dered. The tank has the number 1 in the spare parts dra-
wing 1.
By ordering spare parts, send a copy of the spare parts
drawing (1) with the marked part (tank) and marked
positon number (1) to the dealer or spare parts depart-
ment and provide the following information:
- Type of device: Part Washing Unit TWG 1
- Item number: 6220001
- Drawing number: 1
- Position number: 1

The use of incorrect or faulty replacement parts may
cause danger to the operator and cause damage and
malfunction.
- Only original spare parts from the manufacturer or
replacement parts approved by the manufacturer
must be used.
- In case of doubt, always contact the manufacturer.
Tips and recommendations
Using non-approved spare parts voids the manu-
facturer's warranty.
