SR3 Overview
The UniKey SR3 (P oduct Numbe SR3-UK-0001) is a 125kHz P ox and Bluetooth Low Ene gy all-
in-one comme cial eade fo access cont ol systems. The eade can et ofit legacy PACS
systems using p oximity, othe wise known as p ox and easily implement optional featu es such
as Touch-To-Open® and Inside/Outside Intelligence™ fo an enhanced use expe ience at the
doo . The eade is both cost-effective and easy to install, without equi ing any ewi ing o
paneling.
The SR3 is intended to be used in conjunction with an access cont olle as pa t of the access
cont ol system to p ovide secu e access to buildings o a eas. The eade is installed and
communicates an access equest to the cont olle using the standa d Weigand p otocol. This

Step 4: End custome ’s available c edential balance inc eases. End custome can now send mobile
c edentials to end use s.
Now that the end custome has mobile c edential c edits available in thei po tal account, they
can issue mobile c edentials to end use s. These mobile c edentials will allow an end use to
ente a doo that suppo ts the mobile c edential. Eve y time a mobile c edential is issued, a
c edential c edit is consumed. When the c edential c edit balance of the end custome is
depleted, they would be equi ed to pu chase an additional c edential code f om the pa tne
custome befo e they could issue additional mobile c edentials.
One final note - this document is illust ating a typical lifecycle. The numbe of tie s in the pa tne
dist ibution scheme of the edemption codes a e enti ely up to the pa tne . Fo example, if the
pa tne has additional levels of esale o dist ibution in thei value chain, the p ocess would still
wo k the same. If the pa tne chose to sell edemption codes di ect to end custome s, the system
suppo ts that as well. Additionally, if a pa tne chooses not to issue c edits at all and allow
unlimited sending of c edentials by end custome s, that is also possible.

BlueKey mobile c edentials a e only good fo
the life of the o iginal mobile device. Once a
new device is pu chased, new c edentials a e
equi ed, even if the phone numbe has not
changed.
I installed the system in a multi-tenant
esidential condominium complex. The
p ope ty management company wants to e-
use mobile c edentials f om depa ting
tenants, eissuing them to the new tenants
moving in. Is the e an option in the
dashboa d to epu pose the same c edentials
without having to buy them each time this
happens?
No. BlueKey C edentials a e tied to specific
mobile devices. The only way the p ope ty
management fi m could do this is if they
owned the mobile devices, epu posing the
device f om a depa ting tenant to a new
tenant. A mo e viable and less expensive
option would be to use BluePass Bluetooth

Ou custome wants to fully mig ate away
f om 125 KHz ca ds and fobs, tu ning off that
po tion of the eade so it will only ead the
Bluetooth-based c edentials. Can I tu n off
that po tion of the eade ?
