Q. At what distance does the GateKeeper typically lock and unlock the computer?
The operating distance is 3 - 30 feet in the typical office environment. The range can be
adjusted in the software to meet your specific needs.
Q. What happens after the battery runs out?
You can replace the battery by opening the back of the GateKeeper. It is a standard coin
cell CR2450 battery that can be found in any store.
Q. Can I use my computer’s Bluetooth with the Halberd?
Yes. For certain Win 10 computers, you may be able to use the internal Bluetooth.
However, the best performance is guaranteed with the USB dongle included here.
Q. What does the red light on the GateKeeper mean?
A blinking red light means that the battery is running low and should be r eplaced.

- Plug USB lock into the
computer.
- Click on "Pair Key" in the
dashboard.
- Place GateKeeper key on
top of the USB lock, then
follow the prompts.
For best performance, please keep the Key AND Lock in clear line of sight.
Make sure that there are no obstructions between the Key and Lock.
We recommend placing the USB Lock on the most visible and straight-line path
to where you usually keep your GateKeeper Key.

The GateKeeper is a Lock and Key system for your computer. Using the GateKeeper
device, the user can automatically lock or unlock their computer based on proximity.
Simply walk away to lock your computer.
Walk back to unlock it.
Automatically unlock
your computer by simply
walking up to it.
