1 GENERAL INFORMATION
Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this product.
This document shows how to install and use the IP 1080P URMET Ref.1093/655M2 speed dome.
Read this manual which contains information for correct, safe use carefully.
Keep this manual at hand so that you can refer to it when needed.
2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Ref.1093/655M2 speed dome ensures high performance in terms of video quality and manoeuvrability, with the
possibility of taking high-quality colour images during the day and black&white images at night.
The speed dome can work in remote mode via TCP/IP network and locally can be combined with the control Ref.
1092/621 or Ref.1092/693 that make it possible to control the variable speed horizontal and vertical panning, tilting and
zooming in professional remote area surveillance CCTV systems.

2.2 OPENING THE PACKAGE
Check that the packing and the contents are not visibly damaged. Contact the retailer immediately if parts are either
missing or damaged. Do not attempt to use the device in this case. Send the product back in its original packing if it is
damaged.

3 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
The following important notes must be followed carefully to work the speed dome and the relative accessories in total
safety.
The term “video system” here means a speed dome and all components needed for its operation (e.g., power leads,
supports, control board and more).
Read the instructions
Read all safety rules and instructions carefully before starting to work the video system.
Keep the instructions
Keep the safety notes and instructions for use for future reference.
Respect the warnings
Pay attention to all warnings on the speed dome and in the instruction manual.
Follow the instructions
Follow the instructions in the instruction manual to the letter.
Cleaning
Disconnect all electrical parts from the mains before cleaning.
Attachments
Do not use attachments other than those recommended in the instruction manual because this could cause risks for the
products.
Accessories
Do not position the speed dome on unsteady trolleys, stands, brackets or tables. The speed dome might fall and severely
injure adults and children in addition to seriously damaging the product. For the installation and commissioning of the
speed dome, follow the instruction manual and only use the recommended accessories and supplied as speed dome
accessories.
Ventilation
Never position the camera near or over radiators or sources of heat. Check that the area is suitably ventilated before
installing the camera inside partially closed areas (such as recesses, bookshelves and shelves). Refer to the instructions
shown in the installation and usage manual.
Electric power
A switch for performing maintenance operations on the speed dome must be included.
Connect the speed dome only to the electrical power supply shown on the ratings plate. Contact your retailer if in doubt.
Power lead protection
Lay the power wires keeping them from being trodden on or squeezed by objects placed on top of them. Pay particular
attention to leads near plugs, screws and the product outlet.
Lightening
Disconnect the power lead and the wiring to protect the speed dome during electrical storms or when it is left unattended
and not used for a long time. This will prevent damage to the video system in the event of lightening or electrical line
overload.
Overloads
Do not overload the electrical power and the extensions to prevent the risk of fire or electrocution.
Penetration of liquid and objects
Do not insert objects of any kind through the speed dome openings to avoid touching live parts: fire and electrocution
risk. No not pour any kind of liquid on the device.

Repairs
Do not attempt to repair the speed dome (or any other part of the video system) yourself because opening or removing
the lids may expose you to high voltage and other dangers. Always contact a qualified service technician.
Damage requiring professional assistance
Disconnect the video system from the power mains and call qualified service personnel in the following cases:
If the power lead or plug is damaged.
If liquid or foreign objects accidentally penetrate inside the device.
If the device is not working properly although the instructions in the manual are respected.
In this case, only use the controls described in the manual because improper use of other controls could make
the situation worse. More work may be required by the qualified technician to restore normal working conditions
of the device.
If the device was dropped, subjected to heavy shocks or if the camera packaging was damaged.
If the device performance changes considerably.
Replacement of parts
Make sure that the service technician uses the spare parts specified by the manufacturer or spare parts with equivalent
characteristics when replacements are required. Unauthorised replacements can cause fires, electrical shocks and other
dangers.
Safety checks
After any servicing intervention or repair to the video system, ask the technician to run a safety check to ensure that
everything is working safety.
Precautions
Do not touch the zoom lens with your fingers. If needed, use a soft cloth and methylated spirit to remove traces
of dust.
Do not point the speed dome towards the sun.
Do not point the speed dome towards sources of bright light. Bright light, like that from a spotlight, can cause
dimming and blurs. A vertical line may appear on the screen. This does not indicate a problem.
Install the speed dome away from video interference. The pictures could present interference if the leads are
arranged near a TV set or other device. Either move the leads or re-install the device to solve the problem.
Privacy and Copyright
The speed dome 1093/655M2 is a CCTV system device. Recording of imagines is subject to the laws in force in
your country. Recording of images protected by copyright is forbidden.
Product users shall be responsible for checking and respecting all local rules and regulations concerning
monitoring and recording video signals. The manufacturer SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for use of this product not in

4 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
This section provides detailed instructions for installing the Urmet speed dome 1093/655M2. These instructions assume
that the installer has a good knowledge of installation techniques and is capable of adopting safe installation methods.
4.1 CONFIGURATION OF A MINIMAL SYSTEM FOR USING THE SPEED DOME
The 1093/655M2 cameras contain a built-in receiver that decodes the commands arriving from the control panel or the
system keyboards. To function properly there must be at least one control panel. In addition to configuring operating
parameters, the keypad is used to manage horizontal axis (360° continuous) and vertical axis (180°) panning and tilting,
motorised zooming, recalling and programming of the preset sequences.
Important note
Configuring the speed dome parameters in advance (protocol, address, baud rate, termination resistance) (Also
see the dedicated part of this manual).
A switch for performing maintenance operations on the speed dome must be included.
Please check a 120 Ωresistor is mounted on both RS-485 terminals.
Wall-mounted
Identify the camera installation point and proceed as follows:
Include a connection box for making connections and fitting the power unit, if required.
Drill holes according to the type of wall (cement, wood, etc.) and the fastening devices used.
If the type of installation includes laying of cables in sight, unscrew the plug on the lower part of the bracket with
a slot type screwdriver and insert all the functioning cable of the dome inside the bracket, providing a suitable
protection conduit for the cables.
Insert the connection cables (power-video-data) inside of the bracket until they exit from the opposite side.
Fasten the bracket to the speed dome screwing the 3 screws at the end of the bracket.
Fasten the bracket to the wall.
Connect the RJ45 cable for the TCP/IP network connection.
Connect RS485 Yellow/Orange cable to the control keyboard.
Connect the Yellow/Green cable to ground outlet.
Connect the power cable jack to the PSU supplied
To connect the Easy Dome IP on the IP network, refer to the appendix at the end of the manual: IP interface

4.1.1 WALL INSTALLATION WITH POWER BOX IP66 REF. 1092/708
Identify the camera installation point and proceed as follows:
Drill holes according to the type of wall (cement, wood, etc.) and the fastening devices used (expansion screws,
etc.).
Fasten the connection box to the wall making sure that the wire grommets are facing downwards.
Open the Power Box by unscrewing the four screws on the cover corners.
Insert in the wire grommets all the cables needed for the correct operation of the speed dome. For outdoor
installations, close hermetically the wire grommets, in order to maintain the IP protection grade.
Don’t supply the Power Box before the end of the installation.
Connect the RS485 serial line of the keyboard (supplied with the same) to AA BB terminal pins.
Connect the cables of the alarm sensors to the alarm input terminals from the A1 to A8 terminals (for details,
see the specific manual of the 1092/708 Power Box)
Connect the video cable from the video device in use (DVR, monitor, etc.) to the female BNC connector placed
inside the box, taking care to put the rubber sheath for the protection of the metallic parts, in order to avoid that
these ones make electrical contact with internal electronic parts.
Configure the different Power Box dip-switches (for details, see the manual of the Power Box 1092/708).
Close again the Power Box with the screws previously removed to open it.
Pass the connection wire exiting from the Power Box into the bracket itself and lead it out from the opposite
side.
Fix the speed dome bracket to the Power Box (4 screws and 8 washers provided with the Power Box).
Remove the cable supplied with the Dome.
Connect the wire exiting from the bracket to the wire with the Dome connector.
Fix the glass cupola to the bracket of the dome, screwing the 3 screws located at the ends of the staff (like for
the wall installation in the previous paragraph).
4.1.2 CONNECTION LEAD REQUIREMENTS
The system requires 3 types of cable:
1. The Ethernet cable for the TCP/IP connection must be a Cat. 5 or higher.
2. The power supply cable for Easy Dome camera for connection to the 24 Vac power supply.
3. RS485 lead for distributing commands from the keypad to the speed dome. A twisted, two wire, not shielded lead is
recommended. A 0.64 mm diameter lead is recommended (22AWG).

5 OPERATING MODE
5.1 OPERATION AT POWER-UP
The speed dome employs the default settings the first time it is switched on. Changes to the settings will be permanently
stored and will be made available the next time the speed dome is switched on. You can return to the default settings by
means of the appropriate menu option at any time.
The speed dome will work as follows when it is switched on.
The speed dome carries out a calibration phase by visualizing in the OSD (On Screen Display) of its output video a
message containing the following information: model, protocol used, communication parameters, speed dome address
and software version with a screen similar to:

INITIALIZING
Upon completing the calibration phase, the speed dome performs according to the configuration in the operating mode
settings menu under FUNCTION PROGRAM →MOTION →POWER ON ACTION. This speed dome continues
functioning in this way until a different command is given using the joystick. For instance, in this phase the speed dome
can point at fixed point or scan the field of visibility.

6 CONNECTING THE DEVICE
Two installation arrangements are possible:
Device connected to PC
Connect the camera IP to the PC with the network cable. The power supply of the IP camera is connected to the 24 Vca
power supply. Set the PC's IP address and that of the IP camera in the same network segment. If the network is under
standard conditions, wait for 1 minute after power own until the IP camera establishes communication with the PC.
Device connected to the router or the switch
This is the most common method used to connect the IP camera to the Internet. Connect the IP camera and the PC to
the LAN port of the router or the switch and set the IP camera gateway in the same way as the router.

7 FIELD OF APPLICATION
The IP camera is generally used in large shopping centres, supermarkets, schools, factories, workshops, and other
public places. Thanks to its high capacity to process images, the IP camera can also be used in settings that require
high-definition images, like banks, and crossroads. Observe the following figure:

8 IPWIZARD
The software is capable of detecting the IP address of the IP camera in the LAN network. First, decompress the
IPWizardIII 2.2.5 (English).zip file contained in the CD provided.

Execute the IPWizardIII_2.2.5(English).exe software installed.
1. Launch the “IPWIZARDIII” software by selecting

: for every IP camera the IP address, Subnet Mask,
Gateway, Software Version and MAC Address will appear automatically, as illustrated in the figure below.
2. If the searched IP and the IP address of the PC are not on the same network segment, the IP address, the
subnet mask and other IP camera parameters can be changed by using the IPWIZARDIII software.
First of all, select the device for which the IP address must be changed and enter the new values of the
subnetwork mask, gateway IP address. Click on Modify Network to change the IP address of the device.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The default IP address of the IP camera is “192.168.1.18”, the user name is “admin”, the ONVIF port number is
“8999” and the number of the TCP port is “80”.

9 CONFIGURING THE ACTIVEX CONTROLS
When the IP camera connects with Internet Explorer for the first time, the user must install the plug-in. To install the plug-
in, the browser protection level must be set. Select the “Tools/Internet Options/Security/Custom Level” menu and
“ActiveX controls and plug-ins” select “Enable” or “Prompt”, as illustrated in the figure below. For security, after
visualizing the image of the IP camera, reset the IE browser protection to the default settings.
Plug-in installation method
Enter the IP address of the IP camera in the IE address bar to connect the IP camera. The controls will be automatically
uploaded to the IP camera.
The plug-in installation window will appear. Click on “Install” to complete installation automatically.

10 CONFIGURATION OF THE IP CAMERA WEB PAGE
10.1 LIVE
Open Internet Explorer and enter the IP address of the IP camera (http://192.168.1.18). The access dialogue will appear.
Observe the following figure:

Enter the User Name (Default User Name: admin) and Password (default: admin), then click “OK” to access the Live
interface, as illustrated in the figure below.
By opening the View menu, the user can select the type of video flow to be displayed (Main Stream, Sub Stream or
Mjpeg), the dimension of the video (1X,1/2X,1/4X, Auto Full), the method of reproduction (live, smooth) and the colour
temperature method (fresh, standard, cold).

PTZ control
In this interface the user can control the minidome, change Iris, zoom, focus, and speed for Pan and Tilt.
The user can also configure or recall the Presets or stop the entire tour.
Other Live interface keys:
：Enables access to the settings menu of the device to set the relative personalised
parameters;
：Snapshot, type of file, storage path, etc.;
：Show the preview of the control keys. From left to right, the names of the keys are Zoom
(+ optical, - digital), Snapshot, Start/Stop recording.
To enter/exit the full screen mode, double click the right mouse button.
Draw a rectangle from the top downward with the mouse on the live image to zoom in and draw a rectangle from the
bottom upward to zoom out.

10.2 REMOTE SETTINGS
10.2.1 DISPLAY
Basic settings
Click on to access the Live interface (default) and enter the Basic Settings.
Flicker Frequency：50HZ, 60HZ
CVBS Output：PAL
Vertical Mirror：ON, OFF
Horizontal Mirror：ON, OFF
Back Light：ON, OFF
The compensation of back light can compensate the darkness of the subject caused by the exposure against
sunlight. Under some usage conditions, the field may contain a very bright background, like or door or window
in full light, with the subject surrounded by the field of light. In this case, the resulting image is dark and no
details are visible. The compensation for the back light can be used to resolve this problem.
Digital WDR：ON, OFF
WDR Level：0.255 WDR is a technology that enables the camera to acquire images with a strong contrast. In
summary, the DR (dynamic range) manages the details of the luminous and dark parts of the image. A wider
dynamic range shows richer layers and a larger space of colours.
AntiFalse Color：ON, OFF
AntiFog：ON, OFF
LensShadeCorr (shade correction) ON, OFF
LensDistorCorr (Lens distorsion correction)：ON, OFF
Dig-ImgStabilize (Digital image stabilizer)：ON, OFF
Configuring exposure parameters
Click on【Display】→【Exposure Settings】to enter the following interface:

Exposure mode: Selects the exposure mode from among Scene (optimised), Shutter (automatic), and Manual
Scene: Selects Outdoor or Indoor setting.
Slow shutter: Selects the shutter from among Close 1/20,1/15,1/10,1/8,1/5,1/3,1/2,1.
AGC: Selects the gain level- 8X, 16X, 32X, 48X, 64X.
Shutter Speed：Configures the Shutter Speed from 1/8000 to 1.
Manual AGC：Configures the AGC manually from 1X to 64X.
IR Mode：Configures the infra-red control mode – Control of Outdoor, Night, Day, and Auto.
IR Enable：Enables or disables the infra-red.
Switch time：Selects the day/night switching time - 0,1s,2s,3s,5s,10s,15s.
Color Mode：Selects the colour quality between colourful (warm tones), standard, cold (cool tones).
HiLightCompress：Selects the lighting mode from among: Intelligent Infrared (optimized), Center metering (at
the centre of the scene), average metering (on the entire image).
ExposureTarget：Select the exposure between 0-255
Video controls (Effect Settings)
Click 【Display】→【Effect Settings】to access the following interface:
General:
In this interface, the user can adjust the brightness, sharpness, hues, contrasts, and saturation in a range of 0 -
255.
3D DeNoise：the user can reduce the noise of an image in a range of 0 - 255.
Mode:
The user has six methods for parameterizing the image at different times of the day.

White balance
Click 【Display】→【White Balance】to access the following interface:
White Balance：Auto, manual, sun light, cloudy, incandescent light, cool white fluorescent light and sodium
light.
Manual: Manual adjustment of the red and blue gain for the camera video.
Auto: Optimisation based on current lighting conditions and the screen methods and colour calibration of the
camera video.
All other options should be decided according to the outdoor lighting.
Reset
Click【Display】→【Reset】to access the following interface:
Click “Reset” to reset the camera to factory default settings.

10.2.2 RETE (NETWORK)
Network
Click【Network】→【Network】to access the following interface:
DHCP：DHCP ON/OFF. The default type is OFF.
IP address: Camera IP address
Subnet Mask: Camera subnet mask
Default gateway: Camera default gateway
Primary DNS Server/ Secondary DNS Server：DNS server of the camera
Press the Save button to confirm the changes
QoS (Quality of Service)
Click 【Network】→【QoS】to access the following interface:
The QoS enables the user to have a better perception of service based on the system network conditions. There are 4
possible values: Normal Service, High Reliability, High Throughput (to the band) and Low Latency
Press the Save button to confirm the changes
IGMP – Using Multicast address
Click【Network】→【IGMP】to access the following interface:
The IGMP service makes it possible to manage one of three video streams via a Multicast address.
Press the Save button to confirm the changes
PORT

Click【Network】→【Port】to access the following interface:
RTSP Port: the default RTSP port of the camera is 554
ONVIF Port: the ONVIF port of the camera is 8999 and cannot be changed
HTTP Port: the default Web port of the camera is 80
Video Port: the default Video port of the camera is 90
Record Port: the default Record port of the camera is 8088
Press the Save button to confirm the changes
DDNS – Dynamic Name Domain Server
Click【Network】→【DDNS】to access the following interface:
This refers to the Dynamic Domain Name Server, which is used together with the server to access external
networks.
Press the Save button to confirm the changes
DDNS status: Disabled/Enabled (ON/OFF) Method: Select the DDNS provider
Server Address: Enter the name of the host Server Port: Enter the port of the host
User Name: Username Password: User password
Domain: Enter the name of the domain
