DETECTOR TESTING
1. On the Iris Web site,
activate Test Mode for the
detector and follow the
on-screen instructions.
When instructed, press
the button on detector (A)
three times.
SPECIFICATIONS
Operating Temperature: 32° to 120° F (0° to 49° C)
Operating Relative Humidity: 5 to 95%, non-condensing
Sensor Type: Single microphone, dual-stage, detector
listens for “thud” then “shatter” glass breaking sounds.
Indicators: Green = “thud”, red = “shatter” detection.
Glass Thickness: 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) to 1/4 in. (6.4 mm)
HELPFUL TIPS
• Glass to be monitored for breakage must be at
least 11 in. x 11 in. (28 cm x 28 cm) square. Glass
must be framed, in a wall of the room or mounted in
a barrier of 36 in. (91 cm) minimum width.
• The detector will not lock onto the mounting plate
unless both CR123A batteries are installed.
• The detector communicates with the Iris hub using
Z-Wave®radio signals.
WARRANTY
Linear LLC (the Company) warrants to the original purchaser that products delivered hereunder will be free of
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
The Company within said period shall at its option, either repair or replace free of charge, any product or part
thereof found, upon the Company’s inspection, to be so defective, and will return the repaired or replaced
product to the purchaser at Company’s expense.
All products returned for warranty service require a Return Product Authorization Number (RPA#). For
warranty service, shipping instructions, and an RPA#, contact Linear Technical Services at 1-855-546-3351.
Devices must be sent to the Company at owner’s expense and be accompanied with statement of defect and
proof of purchase. This warranty is conditioned on the following:
• The Company must be notified within one year of purchase and have been given the opportunity of
inspection by return of any alleged defective product free and clear of all liens and encumbrances to the
Company or its distributor; and
• The product must not have been abused, misused or improperly maintained and/or repaired during such
period; and
• Such defect has not been caused by corrosion or exposure to other than ordinary wear and tear.
THE COMPANY MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER INCLUDING ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
The Company’s maximum liability hereunder is limited to the purchased price of the product. In no event shall
the Company be liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental or special damages of any nature arising
from the sale or use of the product, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise.

PAIRING WITH IRIS
1. Install two batteries (CC) into
the detector (A). Observe
polarity!
2. Go to www.lowes.com/iris
3. From the Iris Web site, click
“DEVICES”, then click the
“ADD DEVICES” button.
4. Select Glass Break Detector
from the list.
5. Follow the on-screen
instructions to pair the
detector with the hub.
6. When instructed, press the
button on the detector (A).
MOUNTING THE DETECTOR
1. Choose a location on the
ceiling or on an adjacent or
opposite wall within 12 ft. of
the glass to be monitored.
Use the mounting plate (B) as
a template to mark the three
mounting holes.
2. Drill three 3/16 in. pilot holes
and insert screw anchors
(BB). Attach mounting plate
(B) with three mounting
screws (AA).
3. Match alignment marks on
detector (A) and mounting
plate (B). Turn detector
(A) clockwise to lock onto
mounting plate (B).

PREPARATION
Before beginning installation of product, make sure
all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list and hardware contents list. If any part
is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble,
install or operate the product.

PRUEBA DEL DETECTOR
1. En el sitio web de Iris,
active el Modo prueba

CONSEJOSPRÁCTICOS
• El vidrio que se supervisará en busca de roturas
debe ser un cuadrado con un tamaño mínimo de
28 x 28 cm (11 x 11 pulg). Debe estar enmarcado
en una de las paredes de la habitación o montado
en una barrera con un ancho mínimo de 91 cm (36
pulg).
• El mecanismo de bloqueo del detector sobre la
placa de montaje no funciona si las dos baterías
CR123A no están instaladas.
• El detector se comunica con el módulo Iris
mediante señales de radio Z-Wave®.
GARANTÍA
Linear LLC (la Empresa) informa al comprador original que los productos entregados están garantizados contra defectos en los materiales
y la mano de obra por un período de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de compra.
Dentro de dicho período, la Empresa, a su discreción, reparará o reemplazará, sin costo, el producto o pieza que, luego de una inspección,

cualquier producto alegado defectuoso libre de toda carga y gravamen a la Empresa o a sus distribuidores.
2. El producto no debe haber recibido abuso, trato inadecuado, uso inadecuado o haber recibido mantenimiento durante dicho período.
3. El defecto no haya sido causado por corrosión o exposición a factores distintos del desgaste normal.

EMPAREJAMIENTOCON IRIS

MONTAJE DEL DETECTOR
1. Seleccione una ubicación
en el techo o en una pared
adyacente u opuesta dentro
de los 3,66 m (12 pies) del
vidrio para monitorear. Use
la placa de montaje (B) como
plantilla para marcar los tres
orificios de montaje.
2. Taladre tres orificios guía de
3/16” e introduzca las anclas
de expansión para tornillos
(BB). Fije la placa de montaje
(B) con tres tornillos de
montaje (AA).
3. Haga coincidir las marcas
en el detector (A) con la
placa de montaje (B). Gire el
detector (A) en dirección de
las manecillas del reloj sobre
la placa de montaje (B).
