About This Course
This course is only about Installation and
Configuration of V-Count Ultima AI Sensors.
The audience of this course is technical support
and installation staff of partners and contractors.
The audience is assumed to know V-Count
Solutions in general and people counter
solution design.

Before Installation
Before installation, we are assuming that Site
Architecture Design is prepared.
All the details of what needs to be installed at
which location and with which configurations
should be documented and ready before the
installation takes place.

Site Architecture Design
This image is a sample Site Architecture Design
document.
Site Architecture Design document has general
information about the installation site and the
product models that will be installed. Information
about each device should be clearly and fully
documented.
Site Architecture Design document should also
have a layout diagram for the site showing the
locations to install sensors.

Site Architecture Design
You are expected to prepare this document
before installation and must get approval from
V-Count Pre-Sales team.
Please ask for a template from V-Count Support
Services.

Before Installation
After placing the order for the sensors,
shipment phase starts.
Please do a pre-installation site check at this stage
with your customer before installation day.
Let’s define Pre-installation Site Check.

Important Information
In the following slides, you will see important information before
the installation process.
Sticking to these guidelines during installation will make the process
flow smoothly.

Handle with Care
Sensors should be handled gently.
Touching the camera’s lenses must be
avoided.

Ethernet Port
Please avoid roughly pulling out the
ethernet cable from the sensor.

In the Box
In the Ultima AI Sensor Box, there will be;
1 x Ultima AI People Counter Sensor
1 x Ultima AI Recess Mounting Unit

In the Box
In the Ultima Sensor Box, there will be;
3 x Mounting Screws

Label
MAC ID is at the back of the sensor.
MAC ID is used as the serial number of the
sensor.

Appointment With the Customer
After pre-installation site check is completed and all is in place to start
an installation, contact your customer and ask for the most suitable
time for installation.

Remote Installation Assistance Request
If you don’t feel confident about installation due to its difficult
conditions ( i.e. multiple cameras in one entrance ) or you’re not
experienced enough, please log a case for V-Count Support Services
and ask for remote installation support.

Preparations for Installation
Please check any specific site requirements with the customer before going
on site. Some sites require security preparations, clearances, insurance
requirements, etc.
Please make sure that your technician(s) is certified and experienced on
working with electric circuits, network equipment, cabling & IP
configurations.
Please print a copy of the Onsite Activity Report before going on site. You
may ask for an Onsite Activity Report template from V-Count Support
Services.

Pre-Installation Checklist
This is a sample form that we use to fill in
with the customer before going on site for
installations. This will provide a precaution to
avoid surprises on site for us.
Please ask for a copy of the document from
V-Count Support services and keep a signed
by customer version for your records in
order to avoid conflicts with the customer
afterwards.
