to high standards and is easy to use. Nevertheless, please take the time to
read these operating instructions in order to familiarize yourself with the
appliance and get the best use out of it.
Please follow the safety precautions.

Safety precautions
In accordance with the requirements of IEC 60335-1:
䡲This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless supervised or unless they have been given instruction
concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
Before using for the first time
䡲The appliance must be installed and connected to the electricity supply in
accordance with the separate installation instructions. The necessary work
should be carried out by a qualified fitter or electrician.
䡲Dispose of the packaging material in accordance with local regulations.
䡲Change the user settings to suit your own needs.
The appliance corresponds to recognised technology standards
and the relevant safety regulations. Proper use of the appliance is
however essential to avoid damage and accidents. Please there-
fore follow the precautions given in these operating instructions.

Correct use
䡲The appliance is for collecting the costs of operating a washing machine
or tumble dryer. No liability is assumed for any damage caused by
improper or incorrect use.
䡲Any repairs, modifications or manipulations to the appliance, especially
any electrically live parts, may only be carried out by the manufacturer, its
Customer Services or similarly qualified persons. Repairs if carried out
incorrectly may cause serious injury, damage to the appliance and fittings,
as well as affect the functioning of the appliance. If the appliance is not
working properly or in case of a repair order, follow the instructions given
in the 'Repair service' section. If necessary, please contact Customer
Services.
䡲Retain these operating instructions for future reference. If you sell the
appliance or pass it on to a third party, please ensure these operating
instructions accompany the appliance. In this way, the new owner can
inform themselves about how to use the appliance correctly and read the
pertinent safety precautions.
Children in the home
䡲Packaging material (e.g. plastic, polystyrene) can be dangerous for chil-
dren. Danger of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children.
䡲The appliance is designed for use by adults who are familiar with these
operating instructions. Children are often unable to recognise the danger
of electrical appliances. Ensure their proper supervision and do not allow
children to play with the appliance.
Note on use
䡲If the appliance is visibly damaged, do not use it. Contact our Customer
Services.
䡲Do not spray the appliance with water. Do not use a steam cleaner.

Your appliance
Appliance description
The cashier system controls the power supply to the appliance connected
based on the amount charged from the user card. Measured and charged is
the length of time that electricity is used.
Balances remaining that are not credited back are stored in the appliance.
Balances remaining can be credited back at any time. Up to 60 balances re-
maining from different user cards can be stored. Any balance remaining will
be credited back the next time the same user card is used.
For short parts of a programme such as spinning, rinsing, draining, etc. just
insert the user card and select the relevant appliance for the cashier system
to activate the power supply. Parts of programmes will normally be charged
at 10 rappen.
– A stationary indicates that no electricity is being used.
– Moving indicate that electricity is being used and will be charged
against the credited amount.
The appliance does not always charge the same amount for the same
wash or drying programme as the length of time that electricity is used
depends on various factors (load, amount and temperature of water,
voltage, etc.).

User card
䡲The user card stores individual credit and can be
loaded as often as required. It activates the power
supply to the washing machine and tumble dryer.
Special cards
The cards described below are for use by those with responsibility for the
appliance (property manager, owner, caretaker).
Load card
The load card has 4 functions:
䡲loading the user cards
䡲setting the tariff
䡲setting the amount loaded
䡲setting the language.
The first time a new load card is inserted into the cashier system it is
encoded and can then only be used with this particular appliance. To
be able to use the load system for several cashier systems, please
contact our Customer Services.

Totaliser card
The totaliser card has 2 functions:
䡲reading the totaliser
䡲setting the totaliser to zero.
Programming card
ACustomer- and appliance-specific parameters can
be automatically transferred using the programming
card.
The programming card can be ordered from our Customer Services
for a charge.
