Safety in Flying
This is NOT a toy! It is a very high-performance RC airp ane capab e of high speeds and extreme maneuvers. It
shou d on y be operated by a competent pi ot in a safe area with proper supervision.
ONLY f y your aircraft in a safe, open area, away from spectators and vehic es–and where it is ega to f y.
NEVER f y over an unsafe area, such as a road or street.
Never f y too c ose to yourse f or spectators.
Never run your motor inside a house or bui ding with the prope er attached – Remove the prop for safety.

Before Starting Assembly
Examination
Unpack your airp ane and examine the components. Check for damage of any kind. If you see any damage,
p ease contact Va ue Hobby immediate y.
Covering
Your airp ane was packed in p astic at the factory without any wrink es in the covering. You may notice some
wrink es now; more ike y, you wi notice a few in a day or two or the first time you take the p ane out to the
f ying fie d. These wrink es are the resu t of wood shrinkage and/or expansion. Ba sa wood changes size and
shape s ight y as it is exposed to varying humidity in the air. This is a natura property of ba sa wood. As your
airp ane adjusts to the weather in your part of the wor d, wrink es may appear and disappear. Wrink es may be
removed with the gent e app ication of heat to the covering materia on your airp ane. The best too to use is a
hobby heat gun. App y the heat gent y: the covering materia wi shrink as you app y the heat, and this wi
remove the wrink es. BE CAREFUL! Too much heat app ied too quick y can damage the covering, either by
causing it to pu away from the wood at seams and corners or even by me ting it. The covering wi shrink at ow
temperature with patient app ication of heat.
Wrinkles in t e covering DO NOT affect flig t performance.
Remove the canopy before attempting to use heat on your covering! The canopy is made of thermo-activated
p astic and WILL deform with the app ication of heat. Do not app y heat to the canopy.
If you need to c ean your airp ane, we recommend using a damp towe . The paint used on the canopy and cow is
not safe for a c eaners. In particu ar, DO NOT use a coho on these parts, it wi remove the paint.

Section1. Aileron Installation
Step1. P ace T-pin or something simi ar to this in
the center of each hinge.
Step2. Insert the hinges into the s ots pre-cut in the
ai eron.
Step3. Use the hinges to p ace the ai eron in
position. Use a hobby knife to set a gap between
the ai eron and the wing. A so check the ai eron
can move free y without rubbing at the wing foot.
Step4. Saturate each hinges with thin CA. make
sure to g ue both the top and bottom. Once CA has
cured, gent y pu on the ai eron to make sure the
hinges are secure. If not, app y more CA to oose
hinges.
Step5. F ex the ai eron up and down severa times
to break in the hinges.
Step6. Repeat steps 1 through 6 to insta the
remaining ai eron.

Section2. Aileron Servo & Linkage
Installation
Step1. Locate the items shown in picture. (Servos
so d separate y.)
Step2. Use a hobby knife to remove the coverings
for the inboard servo and servo ead.
Step3. Thread the servo arm through the wing out
of the ho e as shown.
(You need to use a servo extension if your servo
ead is not enough ong.)
Step4. Use a dri bit to dri four mounting ho es for
the servo.
Step5. Insta the servo onto the wing using four
se f-tapping screws provided with the servo.
Step6. Prepare a servo arm with pushrod
connector.
Step7. Insta the servo arm to the servo.
(Remember to center the servo before this.)

Step8. Thread a c evis to the ai eron servo pushrod
{
Φ1.8x150mm (6.0inch)}, and connect the
c evis to the contro horn.
Step9. With the pushrod wire is 90-degrees to the
hinge ine and ho es in the contro horn a igned
with the hinge ine, use a dri bit to dri the
mounting ho es for contro horn.
Step10. Insta the contro to the ai eron using two
M2*20mm (0.8 in) screws and one backp ate.
Step11. With the contro surface centered, tighten
the screw to secure the pushrod to the servo arm.
Step12. Repeat steps 1 through 11 to insta the
remaining ai eron servo & inkage.
Section3. Wing Installation
Step1. Use epoxy to g ue the wing joiner into the
wing pane s. App y epoxy in the joiner pocket, a
sides of the joiner and the exposed wood on the
root rib. Start with one pane ; insert the joiner,
then the opposite pane .
(Note: because the wing has dihedra , don’t insert
the joiner in the wrong direction.)
Step2. Use ow-tack tape to make sure the pane s
fit tight y together whi e the g ue cures.

Step3. Locate the items shown in the picture.
Step4. Use the hobby knife to remove the
coverings to expose the ho es on the wing and
wing bo t p ate.
Step5. Insta the wing to the fuse age using two
M4*35mm (1.4inch) screws and two M4 washers.
Section4. Tail Set Installation
Step1. Attach the e evator to the horizonta
stabi izer using the same way in section 1.
Step2. S ide the horizonta tai into the s ot at the
rear of the fuse age. Check to make sure the
horizonta tai is centered in the fuse age as shown
be ow.
Step3. Doub e-check the a ignment to satisfy the
requirement shown be ow.

Step4. Use a fe t-tipped pen to mark the out ine of
fuse age on the stabi izer, both bottom and top.
Step5. Use a hobby knife to remove the coverings
from fuse age and stabi izer inside the ine drawn.
Step6. Use the epoxy to g ue stabi izer to the
fuse age.
(Adjust the stabi izer to make it satisfy the
requirements in step2 and step3.)
Step7. Use the same way to insta the fin and
rudder to the fuse age. (Make sure the fin is square
to the stabi izer.)
Section5. Rudder Elevator Servo &
Linkage Installation
We recommend you to insta the rudder servo on
the eft tray, e evator servo on the right tray.
Step1. S ide the Φ1.8x850mm (33.5inch) e evator
servo pushrod to the guiding tube. The threaded
end comes first.
Remove the coverings for the exit ho e.

Step2. Thread a c evis to the pushrod, and connect
a contro horn to the c evis.
Step3. With the ho es a igned with the hinge ine,
insta the contro horn to the e evator using two
M2*10mm (0.4inch) screws and backp ate.
Step4. In the same ways insta the contro horn to
the rudder.
Note: p ease don’t et the rudder pushrod affect
the movement of the e evator when insta ing the
rudder contro horn.
Step5. Locate the items for nose whee insta ation.
Step6. Assemb e the nose whee as shown.
The nose whee mount is insta ed in factory.

Step7. Locate the e ectric motor and insta it to the
fuse age.
Step8. Connect the pushrod for nose whee to the
steering arm.
Step9. Insta the nose whee to the fuse age.

Step10. Insta two servos to the fuse age. With
rudder e evator and steering arm centered, tighten
the screw to secure the pushrods to the arm.
Step11. Insta the e ectric motor to the mount.
Section6. Nitro Engine Installation
Step1. Position the nitro engine on the fuse age.
Step2. Insta the engine to the mount.

Step3. Connect the Φ1.5 x 400mm (15.7inch)
thrott e pushrod to the engine.
Step4. Insta the thrott e servo. Move the servo
the thrott e open position using the radio system.
Manua y move the thrott e arm on the carburetor
to the open position.
Secure the pushrod wire to the servo arm.
Step5. The fue tank can be assemb ed as a two ine
system consisting of a vent (pressure) ine to the
muff er and a carburetor ine. Fi ing and emptying of
the tank wou d need to be done through the
carburetor ine, or an optiona fue fi va ve. The tank
can a so be assemb ed as a three ine system having a
vent ine, carburetor ine, and fi ine. If insta a fi
ine, puncture the top of the stopper above the
sea ed off fue tube ho e. The fi and carburetor ines
shou d extend out 12mm beyond the stopper and the
vent ine shou d be bent upwards and eft uncut.
Step6. Fit the stopper assemb y into the tank with the
vent ine pointing toward the top of the tank, but not
touching. The fue tubing and c unks (fue pickup) on
the carburetor and fi ines shou d a most reach the
back of the tank but not touch. The c unks must be
ab e to move free y inside the tank when assemb ed.
Adjust the ength of the fue tubing according y. When
satisfied, tighten the PM3x25mm screw in the
stopper to secure it in p ace (do not over-tighten).
Mark the side of the tank that must face up when
insta ed in the p ane. We a so suggest marking the
tubes in the stopper.
Step7. After insta the fue tank into the fuse age,
use two M2*10mm (0.4inch) se f-tapping screws
with washers to insta the hatch cover to the
fuse age.

Section7. Landing Gear Installation
Step1. Locate the items for insta ing main anding
gear
Step2. Use two whee co ars to secure the whee to
the anding gear strut.
Step3. Repeat steps 2 through 3 to insta the other
whee .
Step4. Use a hobby knife to remove the coverings
from the fuse age for the anding gear.
Step5. Insert the anding gear strut into the
pre-dri ed ho e in the fuse age.
Step6. Use two anding gear straps and four
M3*16mm (0.6inch) se f-tapping screws to secure the
anding gear to the fuse age.

Section8. Set CG and Control T rows
For the first f ight, the recommended CG is 88mm
(3.5inch) behind the eading edge of the wing
against the fuse age. Use the battery pack, moving
it forward or backward to achieve the correct
ba ance.
