Do’s
Basic safety precautions
3Turn o all controls on the vacuum cleaner before
disconnecting or connecting the power cord
3Always turn the brushbar o whilst using the hose/accessories
and whilst using on hard oors
3Always select the correct height adjuster setting for your
carpet, if the machine is set to low it may be hard to push and
can cause damage to your carpet
3Always keep the power cord away from the brushes whilst
using your vacuum cleaner. After use always wrap the power
cord around the cord clips provided
3Always make sure both the pre-motor/post motor lters are in
place before use
3Always ensure the brushbar is switched o when using your
vacuum on the stairs and take extra care when positioning the
vacuum cleaner on the stairs

3Always switch o the vacuum cleaner before disconnecting or
connecting the hose and accessories
3Keep all openings clear and free from debris as this may aect
the airow/suction
3Always replace the fuse in the plug with a British 13amp fuse.
Always protect the power cable from heated surfaces and
open ames
3Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved
extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange
the extension cord as it could be a trip hazard
3Store your vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry area. If lters have
been cleaned as per user guide instructions ensure they are
thoroughly dry before storing away
3Keep all openings clear and free from debris as this may aect
the airow/suction

8Don’t use this vacuum cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged
or left outdoors
8Don’t run over the power cord or use vacuum cleaner if the
power cord or plug is damaged. Please contact our Customer

8Don’t handle the plug or use the vacuum cleaner with
wet hands
8Don’t pull or carry this vacuum cleaner by the power cord.
Don’t use the Power cord as a handle, pull the power cord
around corners, sharp edges or close a door over the power
cord. Don’t unplug vacuum cleaner by pulling on the
power cord
8Don’t vacuum up any ammable or combustible materials
(lighter uid, petrol, kerosene etc.) or use the vacuum cleaner
in an area with explosive vapours or liquid
8Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or smoking
hot burning items or use in an area where there may be
harmful uids (chlorine, bleach, and ammonia drain cleaner)
8Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this
may cause damage to your vacuum cleaner
8Don’t vacuum up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails,
screws or coins etc
8Don’t use the vacuum cleaner with incorrect voltage as this
may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage
is listed on the ratings label

only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.
• Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors on dry surfaces and keep
the area your cleaning well lit
• Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing from moving parts and
openings whilst using the vacuum cleaner
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision

Insert the back
panel into the
oorhead.
The back panel will
click into place when
it slides into position
as highlighted.
Insert the screw into
the back panel near
the base, use a cross-
head screwdriver to
tighten securely
Assembling your upright
Wrap the power cord around the
quick release cord hook at the top
and the lower cord hook, continue
wrapping the power cord until it
is secure
Place the dirt container onto the
machine and push onto the back
panel to click into place
Clip hose into the hose
holders to secure
Align the post motor
lter tabs in position
and turn clockwise to
lock into place
Attach the turbo tool and
extension tube to the tool holders.
Attach the hose end with clip
to the handle and push until it’s
secure. Insert the other end of
hose into the slot on the rear of
machine, align the tabs and turn
until it locks into place

Place the post motor lter
onto the lter housing.

Plug in the machine.
Press the power
on/o button.
Place your foot on
the oorhead and
pull the handle
backwards to recline
the vacuum cleaner
The handle extension
can be used to
vacuum any dicult
to reach areas
To release the handle
extension remove the hose
from the hose holder and press
the handle release button, pull
the handle up to remove

For extra reach the extension
tube can be attached to the
handle extension

Turn the quick
release cord hook to
one side to release.
Plug in the machine
Tilt the machine back on rear wheels and
set the height adjuster to the desired height
setting
Once height adjuster is
selected make sure the
brushbar is switched
ON for carpets and OFF
for hardoors
*Not applicable for all models
Before you begin cleaning
• Always switch o and unplug the vacuum cleaner before connecting or disconnecting the hose/attachments, or removing and
emptying the dirt container
• The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a thermal cut-out. If for any reason the vacuum cleaner does overheat the thermostat will
automatically turn the vacuum cleaner o. If this happens, switch the vacuum cleaner o and unplug from electrical socket. Remove
and empty the dirt container also check the vacuum cleaner for blockages. Allow the vacuum cleaner to cool for approximately 1 hour
(if you have cleaned the lters please wait 24 hours for the lters to fully dry before putting back into the vacuum)
• For best cleaning results lters require cleaning at least every 3 months
• If the vacuum cleaner is blocked, switch o and unplug before removing the blockage
• When using the accessories always make sure the brushbar is switched to the o position
NOTE: For thick carpets turn the brush bar o

Turn the dirt container lid
anti-clockwise and lift
to remove
Press dirt container release
button to remove the
dirt container.
Hold dirt container over a bin
and unclip the lock on the
bottom of the dirt container,
allowing the dirt to fall out.
Use the tab on the lter to pull the
lter out of its housing.
When attaching the dirt container
back onto the vacuum, align the base
rst then push until you hear an
audible click which indicates the dirt
container is locked into place

Tap the lter over a bin to
remove any dirt and debris
Wash the lter under running
water (40 degrees max).
Leave to fully dry for at least
24 hours before placing back
into your vacuum

To gain access to the shroud,
use the tab on the lter to pull
the lter out of its housing
and remove
Grasp the tab on the top of the
lter and pull to remove
Tap the shroud over a bin
to remove dirt and debris
Wash shroud under running
water and leave for a minimum of
24hours to fully dry. If the shroud
is not tted correctly it can prevent
the dirt container closing

Tap the lter over a bin to

Changing the belt
Remove the brush bar starting
from the right side, opposite the
belt side. Then remove belt and
replace before reassembling
your oorhead.
Remove 9 screws from the
bottom of the oorhead.
Remove the oor plate.
Remove the belt from the spindle

WARNING: Switch o your vacuum cleaner and unplug from the mains before carrying out any maintenance
To reassemble, recline the
vacuum and lay it on its front.
Align the oor plate, insert 9
screws and tighten to secure

Getting in touch
• Check the ‘This pack contains’ panel on the box to make sure
the part is included with your machine
• The brushbar may be clogged, check the brushbar and clear any
hair or debris
• The brushbar may not be switch on, please check and switch on the
brushbar button
• The belt may be broken, Go to ‘Let’s talk technical’

What to do if it goes wrong
There is an
accessory missing?
My brushbar
isn’t turning?
• There may be a blockage in the hose. Please remove the hose from
the vacuum cleaner, check and clear any blockages
• Empty the dirt container and clean lters. Go to the ‘Let’s
maintain section’
• The brushbar may not be turning. Go to my brushbar isn’t
turning below
• If the accessory/tool will not pick up, check and clear any blockages
Why won’t the vacuum
cleaner pick up?
• The plug may not be fully pushed into the electrical socket
• Check the fuse in the plug if this needs replacing, always replace with a
British 13amp fuse
• The motor thermostat may have tripped. If this has happened, unplug
the vacuum cleaner. Remove and empty the dirt container and check
the hose for blockages. Clean the lters and allow the vacuum cleaner
to cool for approximately 1 hour (if you have washed the lters you will
need to wait 24 hours for the lters to fully dry before putting them
back into the vacuum cleaner)
