TheVMBHISservermodule,apowercable+optionalpowerplug,networkcable,shortuserguideandUSBcable.
TheHomecentersoftware(includingalicenceof350EURVATincluded)isalreadyinstalledonthemodule.
Prerequisites
YouwillneedafullyworkingVelbushomeautomationsystemthathasaVMB1USBorVMBRSUSBUSBinterface.
MakesureyoucanaccessyourhomenetworkthroughanEthernetcable.TousetheapponaniPhoneoriPad,you
willneedaWi‐Finetworkconnection.Pleasenotethatsomefirewallorroutersettingsmaypreventautodetection
oftheVMBHISfortheHomeCenterclients.Youmayneedtochangesettingsoraddanexceptiontoyourfirewallto
enablecommunicationbetweentheHomeCenterclientandtheVMBHIS.
Wiring
TheVMBHISisaservermodulethatneedstobeconnectedtotheVelbusinstallationaswellasyournetwork.Usea
USBcabletoconnecttheVMBHIStothe
VMB1USB
orVMBRSUSBtosetupaconnectionwiththeVelbussystem.
Useastandardnetworkcable(RJ45)toconnecttheVMBHIStoyourhomenetwork.Important:alwaysconnect
powerlast.
Firstinstallation
DuringthefirstinstallationoftheVMBHIS,itneedstobeconnectedtoanetworkwithinternetaccess.Theserver
willautomaticallyactivateitslicencethroughtheinternet.Thedayofactivationcountsasthestartdatefor1yearof
freeupdates(included).IfyouareconnectingaVelbusinstallationforthefirsttime,theserverwillalsoreadall
modulesandsortthembygroups.
IfyourVelbusinstallationisinstalledonalocationwithoutinternetaccess,youwillfirstneedtoactivatetheVMBHIS
onanetworkthatdoeshaveinternetaccessandconnectittotheVelbusinstallationafterwards(alwaysconnect
powerlast).TheVMBHISwillbereadytouseassoonasithasbeenactivatedandthesystemhasperformedafirst
scan.

‐YoucanalsotypetheIPaddressoftheVMBHISdirectlyinthebrowser'saddressbar.Youcanfindthe
IPaddressintheiPhone/iPadapp,whichautomaticallydisplaystheIPaddress.OrontheHomeCenter
client(Windows),whichdisplaystheIPaddressontheloginwindow.

WhenopeningtheVMBHISwebpage,youneedtoprovideausernameandpassword.
Thedefaultusernameisadmin,thedefaultpasswordisadmin.
Wheninstallationisdone,youcanstartcontrollingtheVMBHISthroughanyofthefollowingdevicesconnectedto
yournetwork:iPhone,iPodtouch,iPadorWindowsPC,Androidtabletorsmartphone.
TheHomecenterappforiOSxdevicesisfreelyavailableintheAppStore.WhenusinganAndroiddevice,youcan
controltheVMBHISthroughitswebpage.YoucandownloadtheWindowsclientsoftwarefromyourownVMBHIS
server.YouwillfinditintheSettings‐pagethatcanbeaccessedfromyourbrowser.Oron

Openthewebpageandlogin.ToopentheSettingspage,clicktheSettingsiconinthelowerrightcorner.Ifthe

updates(inbegrepen).IndienditdeeerstekeerisdatereenVelbusinstallatieisaangesloten,zaldeservermeteen
allemodulesinlezenenzeautomatischsortereningroepen.IndiendeVelbusinstallatiezichopeenlocatiezonder
internetaansluitingbevindt,dientudezeeerstteactiverenviaeennetwerkwaarinternettoegangwelmogelijkisen
achterafpasaantesluitenopuwinstallatie(steedsdenetspanningalslaatsteaansluiten).Vanzodradeactiveringen
